 Dief stretched lazily from his current resting place. It was cool and quiet somewhat. He hated it. Well, he enjoyed the coolness but it was the quiet he disliked strongily. Brown eyes dulled as he found his mind drifting away in boredom. He was out of the PekeNa lands again. This time looking for adventure or somewhere new he hasn't been before. As was his title in the PekeNa lands.. he was a scouter but then again I guess that didn't really technically count as he wasn't ...in PekeNa at the moment. Searching and exploring was his thing.
He shook himself as if to get rid of the lazy feeling of boredom. Now was the perfect time to go wandering around. He had no responsibilities or family to take care of, so why not? He was entitled. Standing with a little groan, as cold floors weren't so good for the bones, he looked around the area for a moment. "Suppose I could try to find some water... or I can see whereever my paws take me." It felt weird to not have a destination in mind.

It was another night out in the Rogue lands. Adventure was calling to Mitifu and the Nyota-Wasomaji lands were not Mitifu's exact idea of a good place to explore. She had been there so long it seemed boring to explore a place she had been everywhere in. Inside and out she knew her pack lands, the rogue lands were different, they were interesting. So here she was, cautiously exploring the rogue lands and taking in all the sights and sounds.
This particular orange and tan wild dog was thankful for her not so unusual coat; her colors let her blend in when she needed to be out of sight and her sharp senses were enough to alert her of any approaching issues if she was upwind. At the moment, she was slowly walking through the tall grasses, sniffing around here and there, looking for a quick snack, like a rodent or some other small game to have a quick bite of.
Her gentle footfalls stopped as she caught wind of something bigger than her usual game. What was it? Another dog maybe? She sniffed again and confirmed her thought. With light curiosity she began following the trail, wondering who this other dog was. What is another Nyota-Wasomaji pack member out on an adventure like her, or perhaps just another rogue, either way, she was curious to see who else was out here. And hey, at least it wasn't a lion, or other big cat who could easily make a meal out of her.

A slight change in the wind brought about the most interesting smell. Female. Dief turned his head to the direction in which it came from and paused. He waited a moment and a female wild dog emerge before his eyes. She was a pretty little thing with a lovely burnt orange coat of fur and splotches of light orange. "A good day to you ma'am." He was always polite, others would say he was overly polite at times. "A fine day is it not?" He curiously moved a little bit further taking his cues from the female before him. Dief wasn't sure if she were rogue, pekena or from another pack entirely. "Perfect traveling weather."

On and on and on she went until suddenyl, the smell was everywhere. Mitifu stepped out from the grasses and stopped ubruptly, coming to stand a few paces away from the other dog. He must have caught her scent and waited for her. Cutious golden eyes scanned his form as she took in his appearance and mannerisms. So far so good, she thought. He seemed relaxed and polite in his posture, and she sensed no hostility.
"Hello." She replied softly as she relaxed her posture, tail swishing a few times behind her as she listened to his polite speech, making casual conversation. Ears perked forward at this, Mitifu had never met such a polite dog before. Sure there were those who seemed polite, with a nod as they passed you in the caves, but this one seemed genuinely polite, it was a little weird. "I suppose it's not too bad, though I prefer the chilliness of nightfall for most of my lurking." Her words were calm and smooth, her body language showing more easiness the more they spoke.

Ah, this was a female after his own heart. "Yes, indeed. There is nothing like the coolness of night to bring about happy feelings. I myself enjoy winter nights most of all. The stars are seen in brighter clarity due to the changing pressures of weather." He cleared his throat and awkwardly paused. Talking didn't come so naturally to him as it did to others, he tended to ramble on certain unnecessary topics. "I am Honorablelaw," He dipped his head as he introduced himself. "It was the name I was given in the PekeNa lands."
The female mannerisms were making him mellow which was a good thing. "I travel around the rogue lands now and then to spice things up, as it were, to evade boredom. I was just trying to locate a watering hole or find an area with possible food consumption." He slowly wagged his tail that matched his mood and his ears perked in eagerness to hear what the other wild dog had to say.

Her ears were trained on him, and she tilted her head slightly at his overly polite mannerisms and very formal way of speaking. It was odd to her, one who was born in the rogue lands and only brought into a pack in her adulthood. And that name, did all PekeNa dogs have such weird names? Mitifu gave the male the benefit of the doubt and figured all the dogs of his pack must act, and speak like him, and have odd names too.
"I'm Mitifu-Meka. I belong with the Nyota-Wasomaji pack." She stated matter of factly as she lowered herself to sit, feeling no need to stay ready to flee. This dog obviously was no threat to her. "Watering hole? Uh, there's one a few minutes walk from here, to the south. I was there last night actually. It has a decent amount of little prey animals that lurk around in the grasses. Snake and hare mostly." His demeanor was friendly and welcoming, but different. His wagging tail reminded her of her days as a pup with her numerous siblings and mother, something she hadn't thought about in a long while.

"It is nice to meet you Miss Mitifu-Meka." He bowed formally before continuing. " Oh I see, I am unfamiliar with the Nyota-Wasomaji pack. Interesting name, very long. And yes indeed, a watering hole. South? Well that is convenient-" He licked his chops at the thought of eating rabbit. "Mmm, I haven't had hare in a long time. Usually its just smaller creatures that happen to wander around my territory. If I am lucky, though I do love sweet things. Fruits can be quite delicious."
"Would you care to keep me company?" He wandered closer and gestured south towards where he planned on going. "I think hunting first and then water next. It would be more efficient that way."

So polite. It was almost unbareable, but Mitifu, as unmannered as she was, knew it was best to just smile and try her best to not be rude. Repaying manners with blunt rudeness seemed unappropriate. This dog didn't mean her any harm, and she doubted he was just acting -- no, this was probably just how he was, who he was even.
With a smile she nodded. "Pleasure to meet you as well, Honorablelaw... and sure, I can keep you company and show you the little watering hole south of here." Manners. Manners manners manners. Mitifu's tail swished to the left then stilled behind her as she watched him. The one thing she could admire about him was his pelt, he atleast was a good looking dog, she would give him that. And even if his manners bothered her a bit, she figured it was just because of how ignorant she was in those ways - probably from living as a rogue so long without company, or the company she did have was a bit undesirable.

"Wonderful," He gestured for the female wild dog to go first. Not only for manners sake, but because she knew where to go. "It would be nice to have company for a little while before I must return home to my own responsibilities." Then he start to follow alongside Mitifu keeping a steady pace, it certainly would do to spend an hour or two swimming with a drink or two in the water. "Hmm, it really is beautiful around here." The land looked surprisingly well kept, not much was overgrown with weeds or tall grass. He faintly heard the sound of crashing water, though his one ear wasn't as good as it had once been. Things now and then were louder than others. Coming up on an overhang he took in a wonderful sight. A huge pond with a waterfall.
"It would appear that were are here?" He tilted his head towards her hoping his assumption was correct. He knew there was more than one watering hole, so he wasn't to presume this was the right one. If that was the case, and he was correct, he would have to come here another time to spend the day to relax.

The orange lady nodded and stepped forward to lead the way. "Yeah, it is. Just wait till you see the spot I'm taking you." It wasn't far, really, and as soon as the sound of crashing water hit her ears she knew they were just about there. With a slightly amused smirk she stood at the edge of the overhang and looked down at the waterfall. She loved finding little spots like this out in the middle of no where. They were some of her favorite places.
A soft breeze swept through her fur, and ruffled her tail as it swished behind her a few times, slowly and calmly. "Yeah, this is the place." She replied as she peered down at the water below them then pointed her nose towards to the left, "There's a path right over there that leads down to the water if you're not adventurous enough to just jump down into the water." Her eyes scanned the trail, it seemed so much smaller from here then when she had stumbled onto it and then the pool below the waterfall.
"I'm afraid I need to head back to my pack now though, it's a good walk away and I have to be there before midday tomorrow. There's tons of little animals and fish down there if you're hungry." Mitifu explained before turning back toward where she had run into the other dog and then peered back at him. "I'll see you again sometime, maybe. Stay safe."
