Sand, sand and more sand. A white figure sat beneath a small cluster of palm trees as her deep pink eyes scanned the seemingly endless sea of sand that was a part of the Tuai'tekem lands. Dimu had come here so long ago with her cubs to find a nice place to raise them, but now they were all grown up and off on their own. She was left to quietly do what she did, day in day out. Hunt for the pride, help the nannies with cubs, and then spend her free time out here, waiting for dusk to fall and the stars to come out.
As she sat in the poor shade provided by the tall, thin trees, she pulled a paw through the pale golden sand, watching the fine grains slip through her claws and dig themselves into her fur. It was beautiful out here, the oasis and the Chione river along with the temple were really beautiful things to behold, but all this sad, it got everywhere! It made keeping her white coat clean a daunting chore and Dimu had slowly given up and became accustomed to the feeling of the gritty sand clinging to her pelt.
Her attention turned from the horizon down south, to the east, towards the river the Pride claimed. She could barely make out the hint of green off the horizon that even gave a small glimpse that this land was not all harsh and barren. A wistful smile crossed the females maw as she thought back to taking her four little cubs down to the river, letting them play in it for hours whenever the days were too hot for them.
