Splasher flipped the page in the book she was reading, lounging in the sand down by the water front enjoying the sunshine while it lasted. If she got too hot she could take a quick dip in the water nearby, but for now she was perfectly content paging through her book on ancient relics. The book was titled, "The Seven Wonders of the Ancient World" and she caught her breath looking through the stunning art and the pyramids. "Oh!" She groaned, rolling over onto her back and staring up at the sky. She'd kill to have been part of that time!

It was hot, hot enough for most to seek the cover of shade but not him, no not Kaas. There where tree's here, and water and regardless of how much heat his fur seemed to absorb he felt perfectly comfortable in this weather. Though it didn't make him stupid, he remained close by some water so when his tail became a dangerous ball of burning fluff he could cool it down, as it was now. Slinking through the foliage he jumped into the scenario of open beach and sea front. Breathing it in as he started towards the water with a jolly trot and throwing himself in, submerging before leaping back out onto the sand and shaking.

Splasher heard a large splash noise coming from the water front behind her. She turned around just in time to see a noodle leap back onto the sand, glistening golden with droplets of water catching the light. She held her breath, he looked just like the colors from Eygptian times with the stunning golds and tans. He shook off, not seeming to notice her. Closing her book, she got up and skipped over to him. "Hello!" She said joyfully, her breath catching lightly as she was able to get an even better look at his coloration.

There was euphoria in the moment, as the droplets flew in all different directions and then his heart froze. How had he not noticed there was another here? Kaas's mind went a mile a second considering his options, did he want to be confronted by this other, what did they want? Had he disturbed them with his selfish cooling off and not realised... With that thought he came to the conclusion it would make him look no better to go and run off now.
"H.." He tried to gain his composure and cleared his throat, "Hello...." his eyes raised slowly as if worried to see what might be before him.

Splasher quickly ran around Kass in a circle, looking closely at his markings from all sides and angles. "Wow!" She stated in excitement, "you look stunning!" She skipped back to in front of him. "You look just like one of those statues from my book! <3" She ran over quickly and snatched the book she was reading up her mouth before running back to him. "Jug ike en Adjuptien!" was what she said while holding the book in her mouth, her eyes closed in a happy smile. What she was trying to say was: "Just like an Egyptian!"

The male found himself watching the female with a bewildered look unsure as to what he should do, there had been no attack verbally or physically so he assumed it safe to stay... for now. As the words spilled out of her mouth translated in his mind from what he had to assume was gibberish he stood there frozen again, his eyes staring at the female. No one had called his card like that in... well a long time and as he began to take notice in the passage of time spanning with his silence he sputtered for words "I... well, how did you..." Clearing his throat and taking a breath he tried again, best not to become an easy target to be referred to as a prat. "It has been many a sunsets since I have been addressed so..." Then his eyelids found the courage to blink.

She sat in front of him, her head perked to the side as she listened to him, her tail wagging in excitement. Her face held no judgement, just pure and innocent excitement. "Oh really? I guess not many people study the Egyptians anymore." She looked up towards the sun, allowing it to bask down upon her. "They're my favorite culture of all time. I wish I could walk like an Egyptian." She got up and started doing the silly pop-culture 'Walk Like an Egyptian' dance. She knew this dance was purely fiction but she could feel that something heavy had fallen upon the conversation and felt the need to act out in a silly way to break it.

As she got to her paws and started to dance after her statement he watched frozen on the spot. His eyes went wide before his brow rose and he couldn't help but let out a burst of chuckle, though he kept away from most forms of media and the like that one did have a calling to truth.
Once he'd recovered from his chuckle he took a breath and found himself with a small smile, not readily visible but if you looked hard enough you'd see it. "I must say it was not a common occurrence for those of us to walk in such a way. Though I was in the presence of a Pharaoh who did such a thing after loosing a bet." She had defiantly succeeded in breaking the ice, most had no clue about his long past origins and at this moment he wasn't even feeling self concious about his wings. "He would be thrilled to know that lose transcended time so."

As he chuckled she'd let her eyes slowly slide to look at him and couldn't keep down the wide smile spreading across her face. She danced upon the tips of her toes in a circle happily before settling back before him as he began to talk again.
"I would imagine walking through sand doing something like that walk would be unpleasant indeed." She pondered this deeply, furrowing her eyebrows and in the process scrunching up the rest of her face under her mask.
"Well if I had a time machine I would go back in time and tell him right now how famous his dance has been and what a fan of it I am!" She did a very over-the-top bow. "Do you think he'd like my rendition of it?" She waggled her eyebrows at him.

"Actually I think it entirely likely he would of ordered all those whom witnessed his dance to death had he known it would travel time so well." He felt a tension as soon as it left his mouth, that wasn't a particularly conversation carrying thing to say, she was looking for praise and encouragement for her dance. Not his truthful comment about the needless slaughter that in reality would of likely ensued with no thought spared to lose or the mess. Clearing his throat with a gruff cough he lowered his wings, hoping she still hadn't noticed them despite the gazes that kept being aimed his way.
"However, I did find it very entertaining, especially on this hot sand." That was praise and recognition right? He knew he was out of tough from common reality but right now he just felt plain sociably awkward!

"Oh goodness, that sounds unpleasant." She meant it but couldn't help holding in a giggle none-the-less.
She smiled back at him as he described how he felt it must've been. "I bet! I would've only danced this dance at night in the moonlight when the sand would be cool under my feet~" She pawed at the sand she was now standing on, allowing her eyes to trace along his outline, stopping at his wings which he kept moving around for some reason.
"Hey, do your wings feel okay?" She looked at him with concern. Maybe he was injured and this whole time she hadn't realized it! How stupid could she get, and inconsiderate for that matter.

"And you would of threatened the gods with your beauty I've no doubt, not a cloud in the sky would dare trespass the light that would illuminate such a sight." It wasn't till he'd said it out loud that he considered he may of gone too far again, but in a different direction. The phrase had sounded much more simply and less... creepy in his mind. Well he'd either get the hang of being social again or he'd continue to scare people away, though it had been awful lonely recently....
As the comment about his wings was made he froze up again, not knowing how to react at all. Also just the plain fact she had noticed them made him uncomfortable. Kaas hated them... he hated how he came to have them.. what they reminded him of and what they represented and he expected everyone to fear or hate him just for having them. Yet she seemed to be worried, that was an unusual reaction he could put a paw on remembering such an encounter before actually. His mind flashed images of sand, temples and punishment and he felt hot... like burning up hot which for a noodle used to such climate wasn't normal. Yet he knew it was he buried those images away for a reason and dragging himself back to the now he found himself breathing hard.
Blinking he found his gaze on the ground and wiggled his paws just to ensure he was alive. Then he had to check and remind himself where he was and what he was doing, slowly he looked up with blushed cheeks at embarrassing himself so horribly and the after effects of such a strong mental battle within his own self. "Apologizes... Yes they are fine unfortunately, I must admit I am feeling rather... flustered, would you care to join this embarrassed Noodle for a swim? If you do not wish to run a mile from me that is..."
