He'd been medically cleared, so physically, at least, Jordan was fine. Once he'd had something to eat other than the bland and terrible infirmary food and convinced his guys that yes, really, he wasn't going to topple over in the middle of the hallway, he'd headed up to the third floor of the dorms. This was going to be an awkward conversation, but he needed to do it.
He knocked lightly on Allan's door.

The door, already being half-open, creaked compliantly under his gentle knocking. There was noone in Jordan's direct line of sight, but there was however the sound of tinkering glass coming from the kitchen side.
"Come in, door's open!" As usual, the source of the voice was very enthusiastic.

Jordan hesitated a moment, then followed instructions, stepping into the room and looking towards the source of the noise. "Allan-taichou? Are you busy?"

"Never to busy for-"
There was a distinct clunk as two plastic bottles - thankfully plastic or a certain Sun Division assistant would have been re-mopping the poor kitchen sink again and right after they had it re-tiled too - dropped onto the floor. A few seconds longer for realization to sink in before Allan slowly walked and then pretty much made a running leap for Jordan, giving the Hunter something equivalent to a bear hug and a hair noogie at the same time. "Jordan-kun! You're here, and you came back and I knew you would I kept on telling Jerry-kun that you would be okay and - did you get taller?"
For all intents and purposes, Allan had a hard time not remembering every single trainee as a kid and thus always was easily surprised when they were not the four feet tall he had imagined - thankfully there was a certain Hunter in the Death Division that continued to fulfill the Sun Lead's height expectations each and every visit.
He took a second to study Jordan a little more closely, which pretty much meant he gave the Sun Hunter another fond pat and then tried to offer the other five varieties of Pocky. "I'm glad you came back, after you know - and they were saying that..." He trailed off, awkwardly.

Jordan couldn't help flinching at the noogiehug; it was still difficult to let anyone touch him. But he squashed the reaction as rapidly as he could and endured the noogie with good grace. "I wanted to let you know that they declared me healthy and let me out of the infirmary, sir," he said. "Thank you for coming to get me." It probably hadn't been anything particularly personal, but from what he'd gathered, the other captives had been in a single area. It would have been easy to overlook a single trainee elsewhere, but he'd still been rescued and brought back. He accepted a box of Pocky without paying attention to the flavor. Instead, he reached into his pocket and pulled out the vaguely doorknob-like artifact. He'd been startled to find it still in his coat pocket when he'd gone to put his coat back on after being released from the infirmary; whatever the object actually was, it had apparently either been overlooked or considered unthreatening. "I brought the artifact back," he said. The mission had gone wildly and badly out of control; there was a certain dark humor in that he could complete his original assigned goal.

"The artifact..." Allan pretty much repeated. There was a blank look. "The artifact the... oh well I'll have Simon take a look at it later, arigatou Jordan-kun."
It seems that a certain Sun Division leader had forgotten entirely who placed it there in the first place. He tried to casually lean back on to the counter, slipped up for a second, and then replaced his hand in a proper ever-so-casual position.
Awkward. Silence.
Allan cleared his throat. He then proceeded to stare at the ceiling, dawdle, and in general, look interested at everything but the Sun Hunter. "So how are thi-" It seemed halfway he realized how insensitive his question was as he completely did a one-eighty- "-ngs at the infirmary?"
More awkward silence.
"Because you know, the infirmary serves some weird soup, and soup is very important, because it makes you healthier and its good for your body - err - kokoro."

Jordan couldn't decide if he was amused or deeply embarrassed, or maybe some bizarre hybrid mixture of the two emotions. "Hospital food is always kind of weird," he answered. "Never thought I'd be glad to get back to having cafeteria food, but comparatively, you know. Actually, I had a different question for you, sensei," he went on, deciding that a change of subject was past due at this point. "Ferros - uh, my weapon, if you recall - has gotten larger again, and I think I might have trouble fighting with him in enclosed spaces. Is there anything you'd recommend I work with, or any specific training I should be doing to learn to compensate?"
