Hobbies:
Parkour - While this may seem natural for any urban dwelling cat to be proficient in, Ember is a bit of an extremist, training and pushing herself to see how far she can jump and how high she can climb. It's also rather useful when she needs to escape from danger in densely structured areas because it helps keep her in shape and helps her spot the most efficient routes. She is often to be found streaking through alleys and hopping from roof to roof when she thinks she can manage the distance (or the fall if she misses).
Roughing It -- Ember is an outdoor girl and loves to camp with human company, of course. Building a fire is hard without the benefit of thumbs. She's pretty handy with foraging or fishing and a nice warm fire to curl up by is ok by her. She liked to hike and stargaze and generally enjoys being in nature. Just don't try to give her s'mores - marshmallows are evil!
Climbing Trees -- Ember is a big fan of challenges and likes being high up so climbing trees is the natural hobby for her. She liked the adrenaline rush she gets and the challenge of going just one branch higher. And then another. And another. Added bonus? She gets to lay down and take a nap when she's done and listen to the birdies.
Collecting Pretties -- Ember likes pretty things. This can be anything from a pebble or a ribbon to a picture in a magazine. She stashes these things away almost like a dog, rooting through them when she wants to spend a rare quiet afternoon. She believes she can become what she sees so she likes surrounding herself with pretty things.
Virtues:
Organized -- Well, as much as a cat can be organized. She likes keeping the things around her clean and she will organize what she can even if her humans don't particularly like teeth marks on their belongings. Her own pretties may be scattered but she knows where each one is hidden and keeps everything in its own place. This organization also extends to her mind as well, filing away people, places, and events for easy review and note taking. She also likes cleaning the things around her as well, picking up and organizing as best she can with paws and a tail.
Resourceful -- Ember hates to be in a bind and has developed several pretty good techniques for dealing with situations or bailing herself out of them. She's really good at thinking on her feet and adapting to situations thrown at her even if she's instigating the situation (see territorial and possessive). This also ties in to her parkour hobby allowing her to come up with new and creative routes that some might not see. This helps in her friendships, too, by allowing her to think outside the box for creative solutions to their problems, too.
Trustworthy - Ember's life deals in secrets, awakening senshi and working in this war. She knows the value of secrets, privacy, and the danger telling can bring. Therefore she will protect your privacy and your secrets with her life. It's what she does; she can't help it. She's not always the world's easiest ear to catch but once you have it she will purr, help you where she can, and you can be sure what you just told her will go with her to the grave. After all, if she spills your secrets no one else will tell her any! Being fickle may lead people to think she can't keep a secret but she can even if its just because of the dire nature of the secrets she keeps.
Flaws:
Possessive -- Ember is possessive over what she considers "hers." Hers here means anything she sees that she's determined she wants. This includes people and objects. If she feels someone is trying to take something that is hers please expect her to be hostile and defensive about it. She will fight to get it/them back. The only thing that stops her is one of her humans intervening or the offending person going away or giving up.
Territorial -- Like a canine Ember feels like everything she can see is her territory. She does not like when people or things she does not approve of stray into her surroundings. Something she does not approve of can follow any criteria, really, depending on her mood and who is present. She is rather aggressive when this happens: picking fights, intimidating, or chasing away the offender if she can manage. If she cannot manage it she will sulk and stalk the offender until it goes away or she moves on to somewhere else. (Or is taken to somewhere else by one of her humans)
Fickle -- Ember often changes her mind or is quick to make it. She will determine she wants something and then decide she wants something else a minute later. She may hate you and then five minutes later be purring in your lap or vice versa. She's also one of those people that stands in front of a full fridge complaining about nothing to eat. This indecision often puts her in trouble and makes her hard to read by others. The only exceptions to this seems to be when she challenges herself in her hobbies or when she is told a secret pertaining to the war. In battle Ember will stay with her side so long as she feels they have the advantage but if she feels her life is truly in danger she will turn tail and run no matter how much she cares for the people she's standing beside.
