Tori was glad to finally able to be able to train harder as she had gotten a little sick of doing hardly anything besides reading and doing other small tasks while she was healing. She even thought it was strange on her weapons part to not aloud her to summon him to practice when she had tried one as Aklin always liked to spar or fight in general. Tori knew that he wanted her to heal enough before training hard again and she thought it was nice of him but a little annoying at the same time too when she wanted to get stronger. Once getting to the training grounds after her morning jog, Tori had even thought before her run to see if any of her friends wanted to join her but then thought against it as she didn't know what they could be doing and she would just have to bug them later on. Aklin just chuckled at his hunter for those thoughts. Setting up a few dummies at different distances did Tori then summon her weapon and smiled some since it felt good to wield her weapon again. But as Tori started to hit and kill dummies she got focused on what she was doing and not really paying too much attention to things around her.

Sydney stepped onto the field, her usual training plan fully in her mind as she headed for the-- The dummies were being used. Well... okay... she could change up the-- "Excuse me," she called, not even wanting to finish that thought. "Can I borrow one of the dummies for my target practice?" She didn't know the hunter using them, which made it a bit awkward, but surely the other girl could spare just one of them!

Tori jumped a little when asked to use one of the practice dummies since she was focused on what she was doing and her weapon just chuckled at her. Seeing who was asking was another Hunter that she wasn't familiar. Stepping out from the dummies as Tori's weapons chain clanked as she walked. "Umm, sure that's fine with me," Tori answered nervously. Aklin just sighted and poke his hunter's brain. Sighting slightly as Tori knew Aklin was correct but it didn't make it any easier to ask. "Ummm, in stead would you like a spar with me?" she asked still nervous as she didn't know what the other girl would think. "Also, I'm Victoria Straka, but I go by Tori," she added sheepishly as she felt a little stupid for asking for a spar without telling her name first.

"A spar?" Syd asked, a little smile pulling at her lips. "I would love to. I'm Sydney Lowe--you can call me Syd, though," she said. "Your weapon is very unique," she added as she moved out onto the field. "I'm looking forward to seeing how you use it." She was going for distance--which made sense since the crossbow in her hand was clearly a long distance weapon.

"Its nice to meet you Syd," Tori answered as she smiled a little as Aklin got a little more smug in her head when heard the comment about him. "He is but sometimes can be a pain to use," she answered as she moved away from the dummies. "I'm also looking forward to see how you use you weapon,"
Seeing Syd with the crossbow as seeing that type of weapon was new to Tori as she smiled a little more as this was going to be an interesting spar.

Tori had before fought another with a long range weapon and she knew that Syd would want to keep distance between the both of them. Oh was she going to change that since most of the time she was short range. "So what type of weapon is yours?" she asked as she was curious. Smiling slightly as Tori gripped her sword tighter as she charged right for Syd with her sword held low. Once close enough Tori swiped her sword up wards across Syd. Hp: 50 Attack: 3 Charge: 1/3

"Izy has yet to tell me what he used to be," Syd said, racing a few feet away before turning and aiming. This was going to be a bit like fighting Rin, she figured--with an added aspect of that ball and chain giving Tori some extra distance. Ah, she was looking forward to it! Izy complained.
Oh be quiet and shoot her, she replied as she pulled the trigger.

Tori swore a little when Syd's attack hit as that had really hurt as it was something she wasn't expecting at all. Shaking the attack off as Tori took a few steps back as she was deciding on how to attack this time. "That was a good attack and maybe some time he will tell you. Aklin use to be a Hippocampus," she said. Finally decided on how to attack as Tori started to twirl her ball and chain as she charged at Syd again. But keeping her sword down and out of the way as Tori attacked Syd with the ball and chain like a flail as she gotten close. Hp: 38 Attack: 12 Charge: 1/3

Syd grunted with the hit, grinning wryly. "You're not bad yourself," she said, jumping back a few long leaps and bringing up her crossbow again. "And I figure he'll tell me when he gets the guts to tell me, or has no choice," she added, aiming her crossbow. "I'm thinking it'll be the second one. Izy does like to squirm out of things."
I only speak the truth, Izy.
She pulled the trigger, but not when she should have. A few seconds more to aim and she would have hit head on. Ah well, it WAS only a spar.

Tori winced a little from that attack as she took up a defensive stance. "Thanks," Tori answered as she thought until she tripped on her chain to prove that she wasn't all that good. "Ah I see well hopefully he will tell, but at least that is better than having twenty questions all the time," she added as Tori kept a close eye on Syd to find an opening for attack. Yes you do and sometime even more, Tori retorted to her weapon. Seeing an opening Tori had twirling her chain just before she charged at Syd as her sword was kept low like the last time. But this time Tori slashed up ward while keeping her chain out of the way of the attack. Hp: 34 Attack: 12 Charge: 3/3

Syd grunted as the attack hit hard. The two different attacks at the same time were impressive--and hard to counter, since even if you dodged one you could easily be dodging straight into the other. When she could, she jerked back, racing away as fast as possible before turning and aiming. She was forcing herself to learn to aim quickly--otherwise she would never hit things, she thought. Unfortunately, she still hadn't learned enough. Hp: 23/50 Attack: 3 Charge: 3/3

Tori watched as Syd retreated quickly away as she didn't pay too much attention when the misty's attack hit. The lifer was impressed just how fast Syd was, but Tori liked to fight up close and personal. Spotting an opening did Tori then charge for the attack and once in range for her to use her ball and chain did the lifer throw the chain with the ball heading right towards Syd as the spikes hit home. Hp: 31 Attack: 4 Charge: 3/3

Syd grunted as she was hit, jerking back when she could, then--without breathing, brought up her crossbow and shot the other girl straight on, aiming for a shoulder. If she could take out a joint--or just bruise it, she thought. Hp: 19/50 Attack: 7 Charge: 2/3

Tori hissed a little when the shot had hit her right in the shoulder as it might be sore in the morning. Ignoring the pain for now as Tori rushed right for Syd for an attack. To which she used her chain this time for the attack since Tori needed more practice with it. Hp: 24 Attack: 2 Charge: 3/3
