The small, dark red cub shook out her coat as she watched the festivities going on around her. The first few days of being involved in the Gala had been fun. But now there was always someone around, or somewhere to be, or something going on. Kakalina had barely had a moment's piece that didn't involve passing out, curled up together with her sisters.
She looked around to see if anyone was watching her, and when she noticed that everyone seemed to be too involved in the festival, she started to slink away. She made her way to the border of the pride's land and set her nose to the ground. Out here it was at least quiet and maybe she could practice her hunting for a bit before returning to the Gala.

Sahar for one was unaware of the Gala, which was odd because all visitors were in Sikuuku because of it. However the tiny black and red jackal's story was different. She was strictly heading to Sikuuku out of bordem. You see, Sahar didn't have many friends that travelled with her. Besides from that she was terrified of anything bigger than her. This narrowed her possible travelling compaions to cubs, pups, and birds of prey. However she hadn't met a cub or pup that wasn't still living with its mother or father. Ontop of that she hadn't really met birds of prey that weren't attempting to steal her food. So she got bored quite easily when travelling alone. She had heard that this pride was a "party pride" and decided to check it out. After all, a party was bound to entertain anybody for hours on end.

Kakalina sniffed the ground in hopes of picking up a scent to follow. It took a couple tries before she picked up on something and started to follow the trail it made. She tried her best to be as stealthy as she could, being careful where she stepped.
As the scent got stronger, Kakalina hunched down and crept slowly towards where the scent was coming from. She peered through the grass and saw something about her size, maybe smaller. It must be what the scent was coming from. It didn't look like another cub and it didn't smell like another cub.
Her curiosity got the better of her and stepped out of her hiding spot. "Hi!"

Sahar hadn't expected a cub to just pop out of the grass. Granted she had heard movement, but she had dismissed it as rodent or snake. She was somewhat startled to see it was a cub and not something as small as she had thought. "Hello." Sahar considered that this cub might be part of the Sikuuku pride she was going to visit. "I didn't see you there!" She said happily.

"Hi," Kakalina greeted and walked over to the small animal. "What are you doing out here?"
She walked closer to the animal and sniffed her to try to figure out what the scent was. It didn't smell familiar and the only thing she could remember seeing small was other cubs. Whatever she was, she wasn't a lion; she was too small.

"I'm heading to..." Sahar took a second to remember what the pride was called. "Siku...Sikuuku! Yeah, I'm heading to Sikuuku. Appearently they have parties a lot." She said; conforming why she was heading there. Sahar turned her head and looked at the cub. "Alright, your turn. What are you doing out here?" She asked. She had heard of lone cubs before, but didn't really believe they could possibly travel alone. Surley this cub didn't travel alone? But of course Sahar could be near Sikuuku and that's where she had come from. Yes, that was defintley more possible than the cub being a rogue.

"Sikukuu?" Kakalina asked, curiously with a touch of excitement in her voice. "I'm from Sikukuu! We have a Gala going on right now. That's the same as a party, right?" She didn't think they partied a lot, but the pride's way of life was all she knew so far.
She sat down, giving up on working on her hunting skills for now. It was interesting meeting someone smaller than her; that never happened! She could feel her tail swishing excitedly on the ground. "I wanted to practice for a bit. Plus I like the quiet."

LexThetaSigma Sorry if I don't post for a while I'll be away for nine days. sweatdrop Sahar nodded in understanding, after a few days of visitors non-stop she'd sure bask in whatever silence she could get as well. "I guess it's really busy then huh?" She said. She noticed that this cub was bigger than her. Sahar had met many cubs before, some were exactly her size and others- like this one were bigger. Was she really that small? Granted the bigger species would continue growing and she wouldn't but she didn't think she was that tiny. But of course, she could very easily be wrong.

"Yeah," Kakalina replied, "The games are fun and the new people are nice but it can get too loud." The typically quiet cub rubbed her ears with a paw to express her statement. The incessant noise could get to bee too much for her little ears.Thankfully out here away from the others, it was nice and quiet so her ears could get a break.
She hesitantly took a couple steps closer to the other female and lightly sniffed her. "So what are you? You don't look like a cub." she asked curiously. She never thought she would run into much that was smaller than her. Except for meerkats...and birds....and bugs....But the other female didn't look like any of those things.

Sahar couldn't help but smile. Many cubs had asked her this question time and time again. "I'm a jackal." She said proudly. She was confident that her heritage of being a jackal was something to be rather proud of after all, so why not express it slightly? "My name is Sahar. What's yours?"

A jackal? Wow, she hasn't met a jackal before and she didn't know that they were smaller than her! She could imagine a bigger lion like her mother or one of the pride members missing the tiny animal and accidentally stepping on it.
"Nice to meet you, Sahar. I'm Kakalina." she replied with a smile in return.

"Kakalina..." She repeated. Sahar hadn't heard of that name before, but of course she hadn't heard of a lot of names; since she kept to herself and all. That sparked a chain of thoughts in Sahar's head, eventually it lead to what someone trying to escape the buzz and excitment might want to do. When she couldn't come up with an answer, she asked. "Say... Want to do something fun?"

Kakalina sat down and her tail swished slightly, tossing a bit of dirt here and there. She wondered what the jackal's idea of fun was; she hoped it wasn't like her sister's idea where jumping on everyone was fun. Especially when she got included in everyone.
"What do you have in mind?"

Sahar was forced to think. What could they do. They could explore, but Sahar was pretty sure Kakalina's mother might not be too keen on that. Still, it didn't hurt to suggest it. "We could go exploring?" She looked around to search where they shouldn't or should head towards.

At the mention of exploring, Kakalina looked down and shuffled her paws. The memory of her last exploration and the loud elephant was still too fresh in her mind.
"M-maybe?" she stuttered slightly. "Where are you wanting to explore?" Maybe since Sahar was probably older than her, she would know good exploring spots that wouldn't involve big, loud animals that would step on them.
