A few days after Kadryn had killed her first dragon with the help of the dovaa Ismiril, she left home again to see if she could win on her own. She patted a pocket on her large bag, where the orb she'd won sat. Unfurling her wings, Kadryn hopped up into the treetops. "I may be small, but I think if I ambush on from above, I should be able to kill a dragon," she muttered as she hopped from tree to tree, pausing every now and then to watch for a dragon. About mid morning she spotted a flash of green close by. Grinning to herself, she crept closer and prepared to leap at the dragon once it showed its head. She was twitching with eagerness at the closeness of a dragon and a possible win, she never even thought about losing. After a few moments, the dragon lifted its head out of the foliage below her. All her plans and ideas didn't prepare her for the sheer size of this Ysali dragon, it's head alone was twice her size; she'd stumbled upon a very old and large Ysali dragon, one that had defeated or hid successfully against all the dragon hunters. She'd always heard that Ysali dragons were the weakest out there, but this one looked as dangerous as the Peisio she'd seen from a distance a few years back. Kadryn froze, knowing that this one was too dangerous for her to even try to kill; it was more than twice the size of the one she and Ismiril had taken on! Keeping as still as she could, Kadryn waited till the dragon had moved on, afraid to move least she attract it's attention. After a few heart pounding minutes the dragon snorted and moved off towards the lake. Kadryn relaxed, shaking all over at how close she’d come to being killed or badly wounded.
