Leilani frolicked in and out of the surf as she made her way down the beach to where her sister Keilani was nudging up against a tree trying to knock coconuts from the branches.
"Hey Kei!" Lei shouted as she made it within hearing distance. "Give it up for a while and come play!"
Kei looked over her shoulder and smiled at her little sister. "Alright." she agreed before breaking into a trot to join her sister at the water's edge.

Hearing the splash, Lei squealed and jumped, turning in the air to land splayed legged in the surf facing the direction it had come from. "Oh! What do you think that was?!" She made an excited hop further into the water.
Kei laughed at her sisters antics. "It's probably just some bird fishing. A very large bird." she laughed again and and pranced a few steps herself.

Lei continued to splash around until she noticed the other Uni standing nearby. Then she stopped to stare at him. "Kei, you were right. It was a very large bird." She blinked at him with wide eyes and approached him to get a closer look. "Hello!" she greeted cheerily.
At the bird comment Kei tossed her mane. "Of course I was right. I'm perfect, remember?" she joked. Then she looked over to see what her sister was actually doing. When the stranger caught her eye she stopped her prancing and tilted her head. "Alright. I wasn't expecting one quite that big." She walked through the water to stand near her sisters side.

"Really? You think so?" Lei bounced around in excitement. "Kei! He called us pretty!" She nosed his mane. "You're not bad looking yourself there handsome." She began a snuffling inspection of him.
Kei shook her head at Lei. "Silly sisters. Gotta love them. So anyway, what brings you to our lovely home mister, uh, I guess I don't know your name yet." she giggled cutely.
"Hey!" Lei exclaimed. "What are? Are you a Uni? You don't have a horn!" She circled around him again as if he might be hiding it somewhere.
Kei looked at him with widened eyes. "Shes right! Were you hurt?"

"Oh, a hornless unicorn?" Lei questioned. "Is it fun being special? Lucky you! But I'm lucky too. I get to live here! And play in the ocean!" She illustrated her point by half-rearing, dashing onto the beach, spinning around in a spray of glimmering sand and speeding back toward the water where she took a leap and with a magnificent splash landed shoulder deep in the surf where a wave overtook her head and left her spluttering good-naturally.
Kei laughed at Lei's antics. "Well, hornless Uni or not, it's still a pleasure to meet you Bel. You don't mind if I call you that right?" She pranced cutely. "Oh, would you like a refreshment?" She nodded her head at a shack in the distance down the beach. "Lei and I make them ourselves."

Kei burst into a run along the edge of the surf. Her hooves threw up sprays of the diamond water as she ran to catch up with him.
Lei flailed and flounced out of the water, shaking herself off before going after them. "Wait for meeeeeee!"
Kei caught up and ran even with Bell, throwing in a buck for fun. When she reached the shack she leaned all her weight on her haunches sliding to a stop, splattering water and sand everywhere. With a gleeful giggle she trotted into the building. A moment later the front screen across the counter slid open, pushed by her nose. Using her teeth delicately she set half a coconut filled with a bright pink liquid on the counter. "For you sir." she giggled.
Lei trotted up moments later. "Kei! You're such a showoff." she laughed good-heatedly at her sister.

Lei itched her head against his shoulder "They're made from fruit and flowers we collect in the jungle. Then we bring them here and squish the juice out and. then purify it with our horns. And viola! Awesome juice!"
Kei nodded agreement as she cleaned up Bel's empty coconut. "Yes. It's what we do for fun when not enjoying the water. If you want another just let me know." With that she left the little hut and stepped up next to Bel on the other side from her sister. "So, where are you from again?"
