Walking with Cordelia through the resort town was nothing short of torture. Her trainer felt compelled to stop and chat with every single occupant, all the while seemingly ignorant to the string of curses coming her teenaged Houndoom. Solange couldn't have made it more clear that she hated the whole area. The people were too happy, their smiles were too bright, and there was water EVERYWHERE. Oh ya, sure, bring Dream along as well. It wasn't like she didn't have enough to put up with.
The snarky Ninetales had been a total jerk to her ever since her 'transformation' anyway. Right now he was primly cuddled up next to Cordelia, charming his way into another treat thanks to the elderly couple they were talking to. The whole thing made her sick.
"So," When Cordelia finally made her way back over to Solange, she clasped the Poke-teen's hand and started towards the beach. "Ready to soak up some sun?"
"I would rather be dead."
"Solange! This is a once in a lifetime oppurtunity. At least try to find SOMETHING to be happy about, okay?"
Solange just grumbled and kick up sand with her foot. Happy? On a beach? Ya, right.

Eilam was pushing his trainer's wheelchair carefully in the sand, making sure not to let the wheels get stuck on anything. His eyes scanned the area, looking for a good spot for them to set up their beach towels. He saw Lighting standing alert on Dea's shoulder, keeping her eyes peeled for the perfect location herself.
"You know, I wish I could actually get into the water,"Dea said softly, the sadness in her voice unmistakable. Eilam patted her shoulder, trying to think of some way to help.
"Well, maybe we can figure something out, Dea. I would hate for you not to be able to fully enjoy the beach,"Eilam replied. He soon located a place and rolled her over to it, before getting out their beach towels and spreading them on the ground.

With the help of her trainer, Solange set up the umbrella and chairs in a sunny area that was as far away from the water as possible. Cordelia had whined about the position at first, but a sharp look had quieted her complaints.
Solange looked out over the water as she took off her outer clothing. What could she do on a beach BESIDES get in the water? When she was down to her red monokini, she turned around and gaped. That lazy ninetaled jerk had stolen her chair, which was only one of a pair, and the other was filled by Cordelia. Now she really would have to find something to do.
She spotted an empty volleyball net in a shadier area, and seeing as she had a ball it didn't seem like a bad idea.
"Ask that cute guy over there if he wants to play." Cordelia cooed. She was turned around in her seat, sunglasses pulled down her face so she could check out Eilam. "He looks like a Poke-kid, too." Granted, all she was in this trip for was the sunbathing, but she could do with some socializing. Maybe she could chat with his companion while Solange played? She grinned. Ever since the Houndoom had become a teen she hadn't stopped trying to find that "one person" for her, even if they were horribly matched.
"Hey! Hello, hello strangers!" She smiled and waved, much to Solange and Dream's equalled dismay. "Care if we join you? Or maybe the cutie would like to play a little volleyball with my friend here? We've got snacks!"

Eilam arched an eyebrow when he heard a cheery voice a little ways from where he had set up their beach blankets. He looked around to see who the woman might have been talking to, with Dea giggling as she motioned to herself and him. Eilam gave her a look, making sure she was sure about what she was indicating and when she nodded her head in confirmation, he sighed. Yes, he had gotten used to interacting with others, but not people who seemed to flag them down like they were calling for a waiter.
Gee, she sure seems to be a perky person,Eilam thought to his trainer, which earned another chuckle from his trainer.
Well, it will give us something to do, unless you and Light planned to watch me read the whole time,Dea teased back. Eilam made a face, knowing Dea was right. He scooped up their towels, before handing them to Dea and rolling her over in that direction.
"Hello, thank you for the offer,"Dea greeted sweetly.

Cordelia passed an innocent look to Solange before the two teenagers started to shift their things to make room for their new friends. Once this was accomplished, the umbrella was spread so that it covered more ground, and Cordelia flopped back down into her sunning chair.
"No, no, thank you." Cordelia greeted warmly. "We don't get the chance to talk to many new people, and I couldn't pass up the opportunity! Especially not for my little Solange here." She beamed up at her scowling Houndoom. "Oh! Introductions." She practically bounced in her seat.
"They already know my name," Solange scowled, hip cocked to the side. "I'm Solange, the hyper human is Cordelia and this is Dream." She motioned to the primping Nintetales. "You don't really have to play if you don't want to. I completely understand."

Eilam laid down the beach towels under the umbrella, looking over to Dea to see if she wanted help getting out of her wheelchair or just wanted to stay in it. Dea nodded and inclined her head to the beach towel, so Eilam walked over to her and gently helped her out of her wheelchair, walking with her to the towel. He carefully helped her sit down, before going to her bag and handing it to her. Then he folded up the wheelchair and placed it neatly nearby. Lightning bounced over to Dea and sat down beside her, looking around the beach.
Am I doing introductions or do you want to?Eilam telepathically asked his trainer.
You should do it, Eilam. Just remember, be nice,Dea reminded.
I'll be nice, stop worrying,Eilam thought back to her.
"My name is Eilam, my trainer's name is Deanna, and Lightning is the little Pikachu. I wouldn't mind playing with you, though I am not sure how good I will do,"Eilam admitted.

"It's a pleasure to meet all of you!" Cordelia chirped. Obviously, her attention was on the little electric type Pokemon. "Lightning is adorable. I would love to have a Pikachu, but Solange is anti-electric type, so..." She shrugged. "Doesn't mean I can't appreciate them, though."
Solange just rolled her eyes. Cordelia had a hard time understanding the concept of "Pokemon choose people", and not the other way around. Solange reached for the volleyball, gave it a toss into the air and spun it around. "It's not all that hard, really. We can do it in teams; Pokemon against ...whatever we are, or you two against Dream and I. Your pick."

Eilam laughed lightly as Lighting got to her feet and gave one of her cute looks. He reached over and patted her head, loving Lighting like a sister, they had been with Dea a very long time.
"Thank you, Lighting was one of my first Pokemon, just seemed to curl up in my crib when I was a baby and hasn't really left my side since. Mom and Dad figured that she must have snuck into the open window of my nursery and just felt drawn to me,"Dea smiled.
"Well, let us see, which would be the better combination? Light, what do you think?"Eilam asked his friend.
"Pika pi!"Lighting told him.
"Telling me it is my choice doesn't help, Light. Alright, let us do the two of us against the two of you,"Eilam suggested.

Cordelia's smile just grew brighter. "That's so sweet. I think it's great when you can make bonds like that so early on. It really sets the standard in Pokemon and human relations." Her sister would love to speak with Dea about it, seeing as she was a researcher and all. She could just see her now, badgering the whole family with questions. "My sister had a Magmar like that. She was a toddler and our parents took her out on vacation. They didn't really approve at first, thought he would hurt her, but he turned out to be the best sort of protector."
"Sounds good to me. What about you, Dream?" Solange turned towards the Ninetales.
He gave her the sort of look one gives when a decision has been given that isn't entirely in their favor. After a tense minute, he huffed and slipped under the net to the other side of the court.
"Alright! Your serve." She tossed the ball to Eilam and followed after Dream.

Dea smiled, knowing it was a wonderful thing to get to know your Pokemon when you are little. You form a bond with them that is like no other, one that is as strong as family.
"My parents didn't mind, kind of let my dad see first hand the kind of relations that could develop between a Pokemon and child. Plus, Lightning and many of my Pokemon became part of the family,"Dea explained.
Eliam took the ball in hand and looked to Lightning, who gave him a nod of her head. He walked to the back of the field, knowing a little about volleyball from watching the Olympics with Dea sometimes. He made sure Lighting was ready, then looked to their opponents.
"The two of you ready?"Eilam asked.

"Now see, that's the kind of thing I wish I saw more of." Cordelia tipped a pair of sunglasses Dea's way before slipping them over her eyes. She settled back into her chair, hoping to soak up as much sun as she possibly could before her fiery companions tired of the watery atmosphere. "Solange was my first, and I didn't meet her until I was old enough to know how tricky she could be." She grinned.
Dream appeared to be dramatically bored, with his head turned towards a pile of sand next to his toes. However, he kept taking glances at his opponents, tilting his head. Everything about his posture screamed, "Come at me, bro".
Solange, on the other hand took stance center "court" and clapped her hands. "Ready!"

Dea knew many people who had not gotten their first Pokemon until a little later in life. She guessed she had a magnetic personality that convinced Pokemon to come to her.
"Eilam was my first Pokemon, followed very closely by Lightning. Who would have thought that I would become the trainer to Arceus, one of the strongest Pokemon in the world. I certainly would not have expected it, not when I was just a baby, "Dea spoke.
Eliam nodded softly as he threw the ball up into the air, then when it got to the right position, he hit it over the net towards their opponents. He waited to see what would happen, hoping Lightining would be fast enough to be able to hit it back.
"Hope you are ready, Light,"Eilam called to her and she nodded.

"What?!" Cordelia squawked and bolted upright, her glasses slipping down her face. "Eilam is an Arceus? The Arceus?" Almost in an instant she was turned towards him, noticing signs she'd somehow missed before. Maybe it was his more...human-ish form that had caused her to be lax, or maybe she hadn't thought to meet a legendary in her lifetime. "That's...oh wow. It's fate, totally has to be fate. If you two met that early in life, then you're both destined for something great."
When she saw the ball coming here way, Solange held her hands up to set it, effectively popping it back to her team mate.
Dream stepped up to head butt the ball back over the net.

Dea looked over the top of the sunglasses that the other had given her, watching her expression when she heard who Eilam was. She smiled softly, knowing this was a typical reaction when people found out or discovered he was an Arceus. To her, he was her friend and Pokemon, to others he was THE legendary Pokemon.
"Yes, Eilam is an Arceus, according to him, there are others out there somewhere, at least one other at least. I suppose you are right, he was meant to come to me and perhaps we will be able to do great things together,"Dea admitted.
Eliam watched how the ball was passed from one to the other, before sailing over the net to them. Light used her ears to set the ball up for Eilam, who ran forward and hit the ball back over to the other side.
"Nice job, Light,"Eilam managed to tell her, while keeping an eye out for the ball to come back their way.

"Do the others treat him differently? I mean, I know humans probably wig out anyway, seeing as he's a Poke'kid, but that must be hard on him. Like, with Eevees, eventually they'll run into another, but Arceus...." She chewed on her bottom lip. "I'm rambling again."
Before Solange could step up to hit the ball, Dream was on it. He jumped onto her back, and as he performed a flip, he hit the ball with his tail in an attempt to perform a spike.
As seamless as the action was, Solange hadn't known about it, and it showed by the curse word that slipped. "Dream! Stop being a showboat."
