"Those who escape from reality, have no right to live in a fantasy..." Why hello there, and welcome to the world of Resonance. I'm the author, Mochii Iced Tea; sometimes known as Lorelei. In case you didn't know, this is a story i'm working on. Not another Twilight, Hunger Games, or the pile of trash called Fifty Shades of Gray. Some serious s**t is actually going to go down in these pages (at least, I hope so) and you can take a hike if you don't like it. I'll be occasionally throwing in my voice at the end of chapters with Author's Notes (A/N). Feel free to read them or not, but it's your choice. They'll just be most of my ramblings about the chapters, characters, and plots.

"Those who escape from reality, have no right to live in a fantasy..." xxWhen the world comes crashing down on Cielle Nocella, it's all she can do, not to break. When misunderstandings and Cielle's withdrawn personality cause her to become ostracized, she finds herself in utter solitude. Her only solace, is in the cadence of music. When the new student, Lucien Farone, transfers to her class, he finds that Cielle is different from everybody else. He notices things that none of his other classmates seem to notice. She pushes everybody away, and won't let anyone breach the wall that she carefully built around herself. Lucien just can't help feeling drawn to her. Despite all efforts of trying to avoid Cielle, he feels a connection between them. One day, he finds himself being pulled completely into her world. Her music, her soul, her world...he sees everything. Through her eyes, he learns the reality of the world at its core, and the intoxication of finding yourself in everything you've ever wanted.

Blood Type: O+xxWhy hello there, my male protagonist. That's right, this story is told primarily from the view of a guy! Haha, this calls for a rather interesting challenge. Sophisticated and beautiful? Oh, he's going to go far in life. Awkward at times, but intelligent and prudent. He takes words under the surface, being deeply reflective in the personalities of others. After having just transferred into the school, his charisma and hard work lead him to be a candidate of the Student Council. Despite being a transfer student, he's pretty popular in his class. But of course, no one is perfect, and our main character isn't that bland of a person. The one thing that stands out, is that he hates to lose. Stubborn and hardheaded, he tries his all. Backing down is just something he can't do, and he'll see through it all with everything he's got.

That little 'hmph' expression on her face defines it all. She hates socializing with others, due to her past. After a few incidents of fighting with students in school, she became ostracized by others. Due to many happenings in her life, she believes that the best way for her to live, is to be secretive, and hide her emotions to prevent herself from getting hurt. Reality, to her, is rotten. In a world filled with prejudice and discrimination, she attempts to escape from reality, into her own utopia. Music was her only solace. As for her personality, she tends to be more perspective than other people. Cielle also has a photographic memory, allowing her to master the piano at a young age, and earn top notch scores in class. Her outer shell is cold and uninviting, tending to push other people away, in an effort to save herself. Once that cracks, you're sucked into her world, whether you like it or not. She'll take you to worlds you've never imagined, and once you're in, there's no backing out...

Blood Type: AB+xxLucien's first friend, when he transferred to the school. He actually had a crush on Cielle, but soon joined in on her ostracize, after she rejected him. Lucien finds that Ian is his main source of information about Cielle, through the course of the story. Despite being one of the several few that completely ignore Cielle, he's actually a good guy. His grades are average, and he does tend to daydream a lot. However, he is shown to be extremely shallow when it comes to other people's feelings. He tends to speak his mind once too often, and this leads him to ignore other people's emotions. Ian is always willing to lend a helping hand to his friends, being extremely reliable. Of course, the only exception is Cielle, due to the fact that he holds a small grudge against her.

A bit demanding and cocky, she can be a bit cruel at times. Kacey is rather strict, and doesn't take s**t from anyone. Nevertheless, she always has the welfare of the school in her best interest. When she became a senior, she dropped her position in the Student Council, due to the work load. However, she temporarily stands in for the Vice President position and gives tips and pointers to the new President.

Blood Type: A+xxAha, the school's gang leader! He was the first to ostracize Cielle, after picking several fights with her on a daily basis. Of course, they both got into trouble, but the consequences were much more damaging to Cielle. People began to exile her out of fear, and the fact that they thought she was a delinquent. However, that wasn't the case for Silas'. Everyone knew he was the gang leader, so people stayed friendly with him and tried to be on his good side. After all, he had lackeys, and if you messed with him, you messed with all. Cielle was a different story. Being a loner, people found it much safer to just ignore her, instead of being forced to stay on her good side. She couldn't do much to them, but Silas? He could do everything and more. He tends to be a tyrant, sending random students to do chores for him at whim. The only person he takes an eye from, is the ex Student Council President, Kacey. He constantly picks fights with students, and tends to skip class a lot. Even when he attends classes, all he does is eat and sleep. Either that, or he does something obnoxious enough to get himself suspended. Teasing and bullying students tends to be his form of sadistic amusement.

Listed here are all the pieces of music that was played by the characters, as well as some pieces that I thought fit well as background music while reading/typing. To ensure readers the best experience, the music listed here, will be denoted in the actual pages of the story. That way, you won't have to click back and forth to see if you missed anything.
