ok i bought the copy of ME2 with all the DLC and i cant for the life of me beat the Geth ship... the one that fires lazers and you a have to get it to blow itself up... or am i doing it wrong?

Yeah, this one is a doozy to beat (presuming you mean the one from Overlord). What you have to do is to position yourself by the shield pylons. When the turret targets it, MOVE AWAY FAST! Keep doing this until all the pylons are destroyed (thus disabling the turret's shield), then fire away at the turret. Remember that you still have to avoid it's fire, otherwise, you'll have to start all over.

yea thats the one... so just be really fast... my biggest problem is i get stuck on the terrain =(

I tend to hide behind something, jump and fire until it goes down. Sure it's slow but it works!

That's the one with the M44 Hammerhead right?
Yes, you do have to move fast so use your boosters often.
And flying straight up isn't the best way to go.
The red zone that you see when the Geth turret is about to fire is wide enough to destroy to shields of the power things. So you don't have to be exactly close to the small shields.
(I hope i worded that right)
And if you still have trouble look it up on Youtube. I'm sure they'll have some pointers. Just don't give up. xD

asdfg That was my biggest problem in that fight. I did it the hard way; I just kept redoing it until I knew just which way to go without getting stuck. When I wasn't too far from the border of the target circle, I'd jump out of it, making it impossible for terrain to stop me. BUT that also caused my death a couple of times because I took too long to get out. :B Need to time it right~
Also, try moving around a lot. If you're moving from side to side all the time, he'll keep trying to target you, so he won't shoot unless you stop. :B Makes it harder to aim, but once you get your aim right, it's an easy kill.

lol thanks you guys.. ill give it a shot.. i need another profile anyway so i could romance Miranda lol XD but i want my Fem shepard to be my main i'll have to get used to the controls again been sucked into sodium2 on ps home for a while XD

It helps if you also make a planned route beforehand and try to do the pylons in a line. Personally never had trouble with this myself but it could be the years using a Ghost in Halo made me more adjusted to how the hammerhead controls.
