Toes curled as blue eyes stared out into the distance, unfocused and only half interested in what was in view. His mind was far too muddled at the moment to truly care about the scenery. She was missing.
It had been a long time since he last parted ways with his mate, Ash. Sometimes it being a necessary parting, other times it was Ash's own wanderlust. However, she rarely answered that call anymore, she had told him she didn't need to. Not anymore. She learned.
Yet, with each stride forward Calm Eyes knew; she was wrong.
In there culture it was called possession. A rare gift given by the higher powers to a wolf. It was said that this possession generally left a wolf somewhere important. A new spot to live, a life that needed saving. Or... death.
Letting out a shaky breath, Calm Eyes continued. He couldn't be negative in thinking. He had no idea what was truly going on.
What plan the higher thinkers have, surely there is a reason for.

With each step he took she flexed a digit in frustration - his movement was too unaware to be safe and his eyes were too blind to see anything properly. He was walking but he was walking alone, he was walking a mile. Heavy was the head of this male and his inner thoughts played across his face fairly openly, it was too easy. All too easy. Her dark figure slowly rose as the fur on the back of her neck bristled, nose wrinkling as she snickered, her fresh scars itched with each emotion she allowed herself to express... so she kept her face still. With a leap from her upper ground the female dropped herself in front of him, her lean figure half covered by cloth, her face bandaged and broken. Underneath all of this though was a wolf, though damaged and depraved stood firmly with a strange confidence. Her voice was monotone and bleak as she spoke out to him, "Foolish are wolves who wander alone."

Upon inpact, Calm Eyes felt fear rise through him. His body leaping out of the way as hairs bristled across his body. He had never been snuck up on in such a way. Nor, had he seen a wolf quiet like this one. Her body seemed distorted from the black cloth wrapped around her mass, her face almost foreign.
Taking one shaky breath inward, blue eyes flicked around, searching for a way out of this situation. He could feel fear and the need to take charge of the situation growing in him.
And then she spoke. A voice eery to him, monotone. Only once before had he heard a voice like this. He dare not reminisce at the moment though. There was a bigger question now eating at him, spawned by her words. Had he been followed?
"Then you are just as foolish as I.", His voice cracked slightly, yet he maintained as much composure as possible. The goal now was to throw her off. If she meant to scare him, then he would try his best fend the feeling off.

"I am never alone."
She admitted with a slight tilt of the head, her eyes narrowing as she looked him up and down, as if to take in his size and shape. Moving inches closer she spoke out again, her tone still dry and empty.
"You however, are. Pity that, fear is such an awful thing to feel."
His discomfort was easy to see, she just stood still and silent for a moment longer before adding on,
"Do not allow yourself to be overcome by such a fleeting thing. Fear will pass, so sport a longer lasting emotion."

Eyes narrowed and his nose twitched, ears perked in an attempt to hear movement around him. Noticing a few birds in the sky, Calm Eyes sighed heavily. Could she be possibly speaking about the avian circling overhead? Watching them silently for a moment longer, Calm Eyes allowed his pulse to return to normal and his nerves to still.
In returning his sight to the she-wolf he realized she was taking his body in. Examining it for whatever reason. As she inched closer however, he fought the urge to move. He already lost enough ground, now he had to be firm. His mate wasn't here to take the position of earth. Thus, he would do so.
Staring the strange she-wolf down, he waited for her to finished speaking. She was making a mockery of him, for what reason he was unsure. However, once the monotone voice left the air he quesitoned her firmly.
"Are you done?" The question was given the strength of a mountain. Unmoving, restrictive and strong. Perhaps the she-wolf would get to the point of her intrusion.

Hex found the male to be rather interesting indeed. Her ears twitched at his words, she smirked, well.. the best she could. Shifting her weight the dark female lifted herself to stand properly, her body firm and stance strong.
"She is safe."
Hex chuckled and licked her lips. She seemed almost delighted in telling him the information she knew.
"She is. Not to be confused with my meaningless monologue."
Narrowing her gaze once more Hex moved herself to the side, as if to turn from the male completely. Maybe it was her way of ending the conversation - no. She was heeling him to hook him, she knew he wouldn't be able to let her leave now. No, not now..

So she had found his words amusing? Clenching his jaw ever so slightly, he kept all other emotion from his face, save a now serene expression. Becoming unreadabe generally made others uneasy, however something told him it wouldn't be so with this one. Eyeing her boredly, he awaited her words, surely she had something worth saying.
Ears perked, though he half expected nonsene to continue to flow from the strange she-wolfs mouth. However, he was wrong, she did have something worth saying. And that something rustled him to the very core foundation he was on as well. Had this female been stalking him since the beginning?
This could explain why Ash left suddenly, and why after so long she picked up the bad habit again... Ears pinned to his head as eyes looked to the ground, darting back in forth as he processed the information. Ash was the type to research things, even if it meant leaving him out.
Flicking aqua orbs up, he was alarmed to see the creepy wolf turning, almost like she was ready to leave. What is she playing at. No one would say something like that and leave.
Moving forward quickly, Calm Eyes nudged the she-wolf with his muzzle, eyes piercing. "What is your game. What do you need that you would make a game of this meeting? His voice was but a pitch highed, however, his eyes and face showed signs of stress. How dare she.
