Oh-okay then... A little nervous about this. But here we go.
My name is Phantom Katraz Aleta Katraz Eternity Eclipse Aishe Yeshaya Lee JE TE SOUVIENS.
I've been on here way too long. I came for the idea of editable avatars and stayed for the roleplays, and that's all that keeps me here.
I've jumped between a couple of roleplaying guilds. Left the first one because of the incompetence of the captain and the second because it died. So I have high hopes for this one. <3
Personally, I'm partial to Romance roleplays (they make my little heart melt), science fiction, action. I can't do any manga roleplays purely because I won't get it, and yaoi/yuri has never been my cup of tea, interestingly enough.
Soooo yeah.
Hello!

We're definitely in the process of making this one work, glad you could join us!
Despite being a romantic, I haven't actually done any romance roleplays.
So I gotta ask, are you a romantic, or do you just like the idea?

I'm actually very realistic when it comes to real life relationships and the whatnot, so I wouldn't call myself a romantic. I suppose I just have to fill that niche for myself somehow, Haha, and Gaia seems a good place. Of course, there has to be another plot to really make the romance bit work for me. Like an adventure of some sort.
My favorite romance character has, weirdly enough, been a handicapped girl.

What sort of handicap?
I'm realistic in thought, romantic in words. I like the balance of it.
And I'd imagine a romance rp without some sort of plot would be very very boring. It's hard for me to imagine one getting anywhere.
Unless it's a like a cat & mouse thing.
What would be your favourite scenario for a romance RP?

She has muscular dystrophy. It's far enough Long that it is very painful and hard for her to walk, and she has the mild seizes and breathing problems. But it isn't past her hips quite yet.
As far as a favorite plot, I've had so many good ones. Once a friend of mine did a historical romance in the third Crusade. She was a French woman who had snuck into the army, and someone else was Saladin. They had his remarkably hot and intense dynamic. Loved it.
Mostly though, I'm partial to futuristic things. Especially when I'm running them. I enjoy having people use their brains--my rule is, if you can explain to me how it would work, and how you would have had it, and it doesn't break the game, you can have it. I've had someone with an EMP in their arms, and another with no reticulations in their eyes. The latter would photograph other people's eyes and use a 3d scanner to mold them into a contact with reticulations. He could then assume other people's identities to get through Biometric scanners.

Hello friend!! Glad you could make it! Sorry I was late on the ball. But I wanted to say I really liked your story on your character with the physical handicap. It's not a lot of people that try having hindrances that aren't cliche like blindness. =D I would love to learn more. ^^
Anyways! Welcome aboard. Hope to get to role- play with you soonish. You have some pretttttty neat ideas.

Thanks, Skittles. :3
I do. I'm a published author, but my contract with the company I published with is null and void because they didn't have any interest in actually distributing my book, weirdly enough. So they sat on it, and now I get to take it back and try very hard to re-write it. I actually wrote it like, three years ago, so it's rather terrible in my opinion.
Currently I'm working on a three-part series. It may develop into four parts, but I don't know.

that's pretty cool, and maybe a remastering of the book will get it on shelves. Then you can bust up in the guild advertising it and make a couple of bucks.
I really need to get around to finishing a novel that I started.
I just can't sit there long enough.

Write or DieI found this app quite useful when I was getting myself started or going through writer's block. Writing really takes dedication, though. Stephen King locks himself in a study for an hour and does not leave until he has written at least a sentence--if not a good hour's worth of words. Personally, I've heard it takes a week to make a habit, so I just sit and write SOMETHING towards the ends of finishing the book every day. It's annoying at first, but if you put together a good enough playlist and just force yourself, it gets easier. Perhaps it will. I hope it's not awful by the time it's done being written, though.

This is pretty great, I'll have to use this sometimes.
My problem is forcing myself to write, that's all really. I figure if I force myself the part where I force myself becomes this muddled terrible writing that does me no good.
And yeah, reading through Stephen King's On Writing was great inspiration. Thanks to that book I got through creative writing class with gold marks, I even had the teacher offer to publish one of my stories.
And then I didn't like an idiot -.-.
Ah well. Try again another day.
Also, when we bring back the Challenges, often short stories/ideas/concepts, you should totally get in so I can see your writing style.

I don't feel like I really have a 'style', per se. A lot of people have a distinct voice when they write. I don't. In some ways, I guess that's my 'style'. I can just as easily write as one voice to the next, though if it's well-done is up for anyone else to decide.
and of course the forced part comes out smushed. But from forcing yourself comes the good ideas.
