During one of the greatest battles on earth between the autobots and decepticons problems rose on the nemesis, where the battle was being held. The ship's core was melting down! Didn't take long before the decepticon warship plummetted into the desert of Jasper, Nevada. The fall and shoc from the crash not only rendered the ship unflyable, it caused a malfunction in the ships programming which caused the ship to use it's immobilizer on each and every transformer on board leaving them in stasis until an outside source could fix the problem.
The only problem was: nobody came for either faction.
A hundred and fifty years passed and earth went through drastic changes during this time. Depleated energy sources causedstress between countries which turned into war. War soon turned into a nuclear holocaust. The human race was soon decimated from seven billion, to one billion of them left. Those were the ones who survived. Humans evolved over that short time, could have been from the radiation, or by natural selection, it's unclear, all that IS know is that humans were becoming more and more durable, some with interesting abilities.
Their technology also advanced. Borrowing autobot technology and reverse engineering it caused another industrial revolution that the human race was not ready for. The kind of power they posessed caused more warmongering until the earth was in shambles.
It's a post apocalyptic wasteland, nature is slowly taking the earth back.
Bounty hunters and other more western romantisized cultural references have become the way of life.
Things have changed drastically since the cybertronians were put to rest. The earth is a whole new monster.
