He was surprised by how irritating it was that he hadn't seen Aithne around in a few weeks. Even if they didn't always talk, Yayuka had become accustomed to finding her out in the crowds, even easily picking her out from the seas of red. And sure, yeah, he did miss talking to her, and arguing with her. Particularly arguing!
So it was very strange to him that for perhaps two or three weeks, maybe even more, she was nowhere to be found. Particularly because he had some very strange dreams, where she walked with a group of firekin he didn't know well, through a desert, and flashed of a shrubby, grassy land. One in particular, where she and this group crossed a... stream, was it? But it was clogged up with decomposing lion bodies.
Now, Yayuka was no stranger to unusual dreams. But some unusual dreams, aside from just the odd content, just stood out. They felt different from other dreams.
He pondered over Aithne's disappearance as he climbed up a sand dune, and the contents of those weird little dreams.

Aithne had been excited to go out and see all of the things around the world and see what was going on.She was excited to be a 'spy' and although she wasn't too into the whole 'spy' thing she was glad that she had did it. She wasn't the biggest fan of what she was about to learn however she now was even more glad to be home and she was glad that she could start preparing and training. She didn't like the look of the Nergui or the things that they did but either way she was just glad to be home for a little while and getting her rest and also seeing her family.
She missed the sands and she missed getting lost in the dunes and that is currently what she was doing. She had arrived the day before, she made herself comfortable and was very happy. She wandered around happily but today she found herself at the bottom of a dune relaxing and closing her eyes enjoying the sand, little did she know of what was coming down from the dune above her.

Oh, would you look at that.
For a few seconds he just stood at the top of the dune, looking a little puzzled. Just thing of the devil, and she'll pop up! Why hadn't that worked the other times these past couple of weeks? Yayuka furrowed his brows, feeling a little indignant at first. It wasn't his place to be unhappy, really, but... Well, he thought they were becoming friends and all. It would have been nice to get a warning!
Still, he kept his expression neutral as he made his way down the dune, sliding part of the way. He stopped silently a few feet away. "Aithne." He said. "Where have you been?!" He tilted his head and made a face. Really, lady! Really!

Aithne turned toward the male and then laughed a little. She was already running into him? She wasn't even here for that long. she didn't understand. She glanced at him and then rolled her eyes, she smirked though she couldn't help it. She did enjoy his company no matter how much she didn't want to admit it. She enjoyed his company but she wasn't going to admit that. She especially wasn't just going to talk to him with out giving him a hard time. "What are you my mom now?" She asked him rolling her eyes.

"What? No." He frowned and laid his ear back, and snorted derisively. Yayuka then wondered if he should be playing this cooler. "You've been gone for a few weeks. And not just you, even." Some other lions from around the pride. "I got curious." He shrugged as nonchalantly as he could at ti point, taking a few steps closer.
"Besides, I know you didn't just go to the outpost. So where?" Unless there had been some mass-murder over there. Honestly speaking, even is Yayuka had more confidence in his dream-visions he probably couldn't be so sure Aithne had ever been in such a place. But the lion would play with the cards he had now.

Aithne glanced at Yayuka and then grinned ear to ear. Well, she smirked, smirked from ear to ear as another witty come back danced into her mind. "Ohhhh I see." She sat up some extending her paw to bat at him playfully. "Was some one worrriiieeeeeeddddddddd?" She teased him as playfully as she possibly could, extending her body to him a large smirk growing more as she flicked her tail around behind her. She loved teasing him, he was the most fun, he was interesting and even to a point adorable.

Uh oh. This was trouble. He had to think fast. "Yes." Not answer fast. Dammit. "I mean, no. I told you, I was curious! It was just weird, that's all." He made a face, fur beginning to stick up. He was feeling a little flustered, and irritated – mostly with himself. Partially with Aithne and her being infuriating!
"Anyways, don't change the subject. Where did you go?" Yayuka almost mentioned his bizarre dream, but refrained from it. Because even he thought it was very weird!

Once again her grin grew even bigger on her face as he reacted quickly. She stood up and then trotted over to him, her tail flicking around behind her now she was just planning on being a pain in the a**. She enjoyed being a pain in the a** that was for sure. Especially when it came to Yayuka. She wouldn't admit that she had a crush though. There was no way that she was going to admit that. Not at all. There was no way.
She moved as quickly as she could and nudged against the side of him. "Come on. You were worried, that is why you want to knowwwwww." She teased flicking her tail at him again.

Yayuka had just wormed his way into the most uncomfortable position possible right now. Ugh! Curses! Curse Aithne for getting this all started up, and himself for his big fat dumb mouth. "I wasn't worried!" He insisted, taking a step away form the nudge so he could turn and use his front paws to push her away. He had not been worried! Of course not!
"I want to know because I'm curious." He was just about giving up pursuing this matter Yayuka should probably consider an escape route soon. Very soon. "You're just avoiding the question because you really did go somewhere weird, with dead bodies in a creek!" He hadn't meant to let that slip. Eh, hopefully she'd ignore it. Now Yayuka sort of... didn't want to know.

The more he denied it the more excited Aithne got, he was being silly especially when he pushed her. Okay that irritated her and caused her to sneer that would normally be something that she would snap at some one about but this time she was letting it go. There was just something about him that made her pretty okay with it. She wasn't sure what but she was just going to go with it for now. Unless he did something else then she might smack him, but it would be called for!
Her sneer turned into a grin and she pushed herself back on her feet and she started to pace around him. "Some one was worrieeeeedddddddddddddd" She said "Uka was worrieeed!" She chanted over and over as she moved closer to him before flopping down on her back in front of him and staring up. She reached out her paws to smoosh his face in between them. "Ukkkaaa were you worried." She didn't do this often, occasionally with one of her sisters, or a friend... okay she didn't really have friends normally just people she would get mad at. Yayuka was her friend though! Right?
His next comment snapped her attention and she made a much more serious face. "How do you know what happened?" She snapped, now she was a little annoyed, did the whole pride know now? That was really frustrating. She knew that those she traveled with wasn't the best company and now it was being proven. She paused again trying to shrug it off. "... So you were worried?" She asked a little concerned at this too. With a huff she was up on her feet. Why was he worried about her!? They were just friends, friends didn't worry about things like that did they? She was feeling a feeling that was odd, did she like that he was worrying, she wasn't even sure but now she was annoyed and just wanted to go spar, or yell at some one. Her tail twitched behind her. "I have to go do something." She said simply her tail flicking behind her, what was she going to do now? She wasn't supposed to feel like that about friends.

"Uka? Who the heck is – did you just give me a nickname?" He made a face voluntarily, then involuntarily with her paws smooshing his face up. What was going on?! This was so not cool on many levels, and with a grunt he pulled his head away, shaking it to free himself of her paws. Augh! "At least do the decency of calling me by my name! Uka sounds so..." What did it sound like? It sounded like, well, not him!
Considering only moments earlier Aitne had seemed very relaxed, amused and intent on teasing him, Yayuka was surprised by the effect his words had on her. She changed in the blink of an eye, and he couldn't help but be a bit confused! Also, she had just confirmed something a little disturbing to him. "So you mean that actually happened?" He wrinkled his nose.
"...No, I wasn't worried." He said again, though with visibly less energy, a consequence of her own change. He sat back on his haunches. Whatever this was all about, she didn't want to talk about it. He might have pressed on, but for whatever reason... Yayuka suddenly decided he'd let her have her secrets. "Fine. Bye." Because he assumed that meant she was leaving. He'd just sit here and watch her go, because he couldn't immediately think of somewhere to run off to.

It was her plan to walk away. It wasn't just walking away either. She went in a huff, her paws trotting along as quickly as they could. She was grumpy that she didn't know how to explain her feelings or for that matter that she didn't exactly understand what was going on. What was she feleing, or thinking. And why was she so upset with him?
She didn't really understand but like that she was gone.
