It was the weekend, and King had few plans. Mostly, it was go lounge about and then go for a run after eating. Maybe go shopping for some supplies. He really didn't know or care a whole lot. Dressed in torn, worn out pants he'd gotten handed down, just a size too big, and the last remnants of a summer yukata in much the same shape, King didn't think he needed to really change into something better. He was going to spend the day lounging and not doing much. He might change his top if he went shopping but... effort. He didn't want to have to put any forward.

Rolling out of bed and out towards the ghost halls, the wolfos yawned as he looked down the hallway. It was surprisingly empty, and he scratched his ear while sniffing the air. Cold and stale as usual. He leaned on his door frame, debating if he wanted to just go grab breakfast or laze in the sun. He hadn't decided.

Serafina was still enamoured with this place.

It wasn't necessarily anything about the school itself, as large as the grounds were that kept her looking around for hours, trying to find some new thing to look at and explode and find out about--okay, maybe some of it was the grounds--but she was so damn wide-eyed mostly because of all the people. Her old school hadn't had that much and a lot of the fun of the conquest of it all had gone away, anyway. After all, she had already been the top of her social circle and she wanted more from all of it.

Every once in a while, her adventures took her down more barren hallways--something which admittedly drew a small groan from her, but she probably shouldn't have been surprised, it was the weekend after all and a lot of people went about for the weekend--but she kept down them anyway, hoping to stumble upon something interesting.

What she found anyway was something which made her eyes widen.

What exactly was he wearing?

That wasn't any... good.

Serafina shook her head. That would have to be rectified. Bold in her behaviour, she stepped foward, approaching the unknown man with a small shake of her head. "That won't do. Where are you going in that?" Blunt as per usual, and not even bothering to introduce herself at the start. This was bound to be interesting...

Truthfully, he didn't notice her, lost in his own thoughts as he began to think about breakfast and sun naps. The sound of shoes on the floor even got not even a passing notice. After all, who would attack in this place? With his guard down, the ghoul approached, and he words had his eyes widen.

Being talked to was certainly unexpected.

"Huh?" Ears twitched as he looked at himself. "I was... going to go out?" Was he not acceptable? Was his outfit offensive? He'd seen others wear less so.. King was confused. "Is something wrong?"

Going out in that?

Perhaps it was a good thing she was transferred here. Clearly some of these students needed some sort of style lesson. This was unacceptable. With a soft little sigh, exasperated, she rubbed at her brow before looking over what he was wearing. Seriously? Torn?

It wasn't even a fashionable tear!

"You're dressed all wrong," she insisted, shaking her head. Her eyebrows were knitted in thought as she studied him again, pondering what would be the best way to fix this ... disaster. Her first move was to brush some of his hair back with her hand, whether invited or not. Of course, Serafina didn't ever think her invasions of privacy would be a bad thing. That might require some level of vanity-popping.

"If you're going to go out, you should be wearing something nicer. Preferably with less tears... You'll earn more flies with honey and such." She's pretty sure that was referring to patterns of speech, but clothing could be like honey, too, and good honey would definitely attract more people in. Perhaps he would get more deals while he was out and about? She always loved when she could pay a bit less for the newest handbag... "Something that frumpy is only going to get you jeers."

He was going to go out. Why? Did it start raining? If so he'd stay inside. King had no reason to smell like wet wolfos after all. As the ghoul inspected him, (and he felt like he was being rated), King shuffled foot to foot. What was so wrong with what he had on?

Gingerly he sniffed his shirt. It didn't even smell bad.

"I am?" His head cocked, not realizing how terrible he actually looked. She brushed hair from his face, only to have it fall back where it was. Bed head. The touch hardly bothered him so much as confused him. Was his hair bad as well? He hadn't really noticed.

"Flies with- well I suppose I could do to look nicer." He looked at the tears she mentioned sighing. He did look frumpy. And jeering? He'd avoid that if he could.
"What would you suggest? I have some less worn clothes but I was mostly going to lazy about today."

She noticed the growing confusion and concern on his face, and her expression went from disappointment and concern to some expression of pride. Ha! So he did notice how terrible he looked. Very well. The next step was fixing it. He could look so much better than she did, and she wasn't going to let someone wander off outside like that.

It simply wouldn't do!

"You are," she confirmed, perhaps a bit too blunt, shaking her head as she rested her hand at her side. His hair was not even simply tamable! That wouldn't do, either. He probably needed his hair washed. When was the last time he had washed that mat? He certainly could not have done it before he walked outside of his room; it looked like he had an utterly terrible case of bedhead. What did he think he was doing?

There they go.

"Less worn clothes are probably a better option." She remarked, shooing him back towards what she presumed was his room. "With less worn clothes, you'll look less ... frumpy. I'd recommend fixing your hair too. Have you even washed today? Have you prepared yourself? None of this will do..."

Serafina seemed to be in thought, looking down and tapping her chin. "Even lazing about, you want to make the best impression possible, after all. Reflects better." It was hard to tell if she was giving him advice or just repeating her own mantra, but it worked in any case...

Blunt didn't bother him in the least, he was blunt in his own way, though, being at Amity had taught him to soften his stances and not simply ask without carefully choosing his words. Eras flicked at the mention of the bath, nearly missing everything else.

"I don't need a bath, I am perfectly clean. I rolled in the snow and my fur is brushed." He took a step away from her. He didn't want a bath. Baths made him wet and soggy and then he smelled like wet dog and that was even worse than being dirty.

He sniffed himself, frowning. Nope, still didn't smell bad.

Ears fell flat. "Do I need a bath?" He really didn't want one. He was focusing on that. Going back into his room, he went over to the dresser, pulling out a fee button up shirts, a yukata, a few slacks- all very simple they were laid out on the small table in the middle of the room. He even had a sweater vest. "What might be good?" There were also what looked like clothes that had gone through a blender. Probably not those.

"I want to be presentable."

He paused.

"I just wont to take a bath."

Rolled in the snow?

She supposed he looked a bit ... frosty, but his solution to washing was rolling in the snow? Her head tilted to the side a bit as she looked at him closer, wondering how exactly that was considered to be a good idea. She lifted a finger to scratch at the edge of her surgical mask, clearly thinking it over, before dropping her hand.

Why was he obsessing over the bath anyway? She knew dogs didn't typically like baths but if it made him smell fresh, what was the big deal anyway? With a small, muffled hrrumph, she followed him to the door frame, not walking in unless she was directly allowed.

That would be rude.

"Alright, fine, no bath," she swatted at the air when he mentioned the bath again, eyes rolling up a bit. If he insisted, she would just have to make sure he was at his best otherwise...

"A button-up shirt and some slacks might work well... ooh, especially those nice dark ones over there," Serafina pointed them out, eyes sparkling eagerly. "Dark colors are always fashionable... Well, unless you overdo it. Pick a lighter-colored shirt if you're going that route."

Rolling in the snow was indeed, a way he 'bathed'. He even threw mint in the snow! So he'd smell nice. Better than smelling like wet wolfos. Always better than, never not. He motioned to come into the room. Keeping her out was rude when he was asking her opinion after all. "You can come in. I keep my room clean." Minus the small piles of snow here and there.

Picking up the dark slacks he sniffed them. They smelled of mint too, so no one could say that his clothes smelled bad. His tail gave s small wag. "Is a black slack with this considered good?" He held up a faintly pink shirt. "I think I have ties too, but, that might be a bit much?" He made it a question. It always seemed like a bit much.

Going to his closet, he pulled out a simple kimono. "I have these too, but, they've more relaxed? I mean, I don't really wear a shirt when I wear them so much as I wear a wrap. Gets too warm otherwise." They came in a few simple colors, mostly light and grey blues.

Almost a mild bit hesitant, she took her first step into the room, letting go of the doorframe and letting her arm fall to her side. After a few steps, especially one in some particularly cold substance--looked like some snow--she relaxed her shoulders a bit, and her stride became more of its confident self again, strolling all the way over to the wolfos' selection with her head held as high as ever.

It was almost possible to see the edges of a smile underneath her surgical mask, the material twitching as her lips moved underneath.

She caught the minty smell on the wind and knit her brow in curiosity, looking up and around to pinpoint it, before looking over to his clothing. Mint? That was an interesting perfume to choose, but she liked it. There was a small hum from her lips as he sniffed the clothing--well, at least he had some way of figuring out it was clean--before nodding.

"Ties can be a way to make the outfit extra sleek, but it's not absolutely necessary." She placed a finger over her surgical mask, glancing up as if in thought. "Going without would be fine." He was learning! That was a bit too much. No need to dress that fancily.

Her eyes flickered over as she watched him take out the kimono to show. Kimono! Serafina's eyes lit up in a bit of recognition at the outfits, before her expression calmed to a more studious one, eyes going over what she was presented with. "The colors of your kimono compliment your appearance well," she observed, nodding. "If you're looking for something of a lighter material, that might work so long as you do not put a shirt with them."

King, watched her for a while, head tilted as she ‘inspected’ his room. It was clean. So he thought, okay maybe one snowdrift hid dirty clothes and another hid some minipets, but look, he tried. Minis just kind of slept where they did. He stopped trying to keep them to their bed, letting them sleep in the snow where they willed. One such mini, A pixie deava took that moment to hop out from the snow, watching Serafina as King did, only the mini was a bit more judgmental.

Because this was it’s room, not King’s, it’s room. King was just a lucky enough student to get to stay in the same room.
The wolfos ignored the mini as he often did. “Sleek huh?” He’d just thought of them as formal rather than sleek. Good to know. “The problem with wearing a kimono is that I worry it’ll be seen as a bit too traditional? I guess I am trying to branch out… to what is worn casually here? But I don’t have much knowledge on the style, so I uh-“ He shrugged. “-I was dragged by some ghouls and they had be buying a few suits and more formal attire? I mean it was kind of them, but I’d like to learn about what is considered more normal?” He still pulled off his ratty shirt, replacing with the kimono top. “Do you know much of fashion here?”

Serafina caught the mini looking back at her and blinked a moment, before leaning in a bit closer to get a better look. Minis could be so dirty sometimes... There was a reason why she insisted on keeping so few. Maybe she had never really understood the appeal of having a pet, but it seemed the wolfos did. Maybe it had something to do with being a wolfos... She tilted her head a bit, before shaking her head and looking back at King. Wasn't worth staring the thing down.

"Sometimes, a bit more traditional isn't an awful thing," replied Serafina, watching in some amount of surprise as he went to changing out his tops in front of her. She didn't say anything, though, amused by his openness more than anything as she waited. "I will occasionally step out in more traditional wear myself," she admitted, she felt some attachment to the garments, "though not all the time. It's something you want to bring out every once in a while to impress and then go back to other things."

Such as what she was wearing now, for instance!

She thought the corset and jeans accentuated her look well, though she thought she could use a bit of a height boost. Maybe she would go for some higher shoes next time. Glancing over herself for a moment, she shrugged, before turning back to King.

"I certainly do! One of the first things I made sure to learn when I appeared!" She had always felt some attachment to fashion, and figuring it as one of the few things she had known at first, she had immediately set to learning more about it. "Need a consultant?"

If Serafina had asked, King would have likely gone into a long winded explanation about packs and how having minis gave him a feeling of a consistent ‘pack’ The k9 club was nice, but it was more a temporary pack than permanent.
“If I could wear the proper robes of my station here, it would be nice, but asserting one’s self as alpha when you have not proved yourself is a foolish thing. I am alpha at my home. Here, I am not. It’s simple but-.” He sighed. “I miss the colors and layers. There is something comforting about knowing what you wear carries a power. It’s a strange thing to miss but, there you have it.”

Tossing the remaining clothes into a rather large snowdrift, he looked at her, pausing. “I am going to change. Ah, so if you wish to turn away you may, I will not take offense.” He slipped into the snow, his body melting into it, clothes he threw into the drift sinking into the snow as it shifted slightly.

When he came out, he shook himself off, dressed in what he’d thrown in, the clothes he had been wearing in hand. His ability to snow shift was useful for some things. Modestly being one of them. “But, if you would not mind? A knowledgeable opinion is not one to be dismissed.

An alpha?

That sounded important, and got Serafina's attention immediately. Call her determined to climb the social ladder, or perhaps she was just impressed by importance--she had been impressed by Invictus', after all, back on the Isle of Conquest--but her brows narrowed as she pondered his statement with interest for a moment. She was talking to an alpha? Well, he definitely needed better fashion sense than that, in that case, and it would be excellent for someone like her to get in as his reason for that.

He was talking to her, wasn't he? Ah, yes, saying something about how he should not act as if he is above his station, and something about missing wearing more clothing? She would give him that; his clothing did look elegant... "I'm sure you'll be able to wear them again sooner than you know it."

Still ingrained in her from her humanity--gossip girl or not--she was fairly modest, and turned towards the door when he suggested he needed to change, not turning around until she was addressed again.

Excellent, he did want her help. She felt her mouth crack a bit under her surgical mask, and attempted not to cringe at the smile. It was mostly successful.

"I'd love to assist!" chirped the ghoul, bouncing on her toes. "You will look as good as you should, I swear it."

The wolfos’s smile was soft as he bowed slightly to Serafina. “Wonderful. I probably need all the help I can get. Cultures vary so much and what I grew up with versus what is considered outlandish here- It’s a transition I cannot master on my own. “ The truth of the master he worried he would either transition poorly, too much, or not at all. He was doing alright he told himself, but with no basis for comparison or any way to ground himself, Frost was left to grasp at straws. A frustrating task.

A sigh, his tail swayed back and forth. “I miss my home, but, here there are less pressures on me. I can enjoy it, even if it will make my return all the more difficult. From having work every hour of my day to having days of… nothing. I end up wanting to work more than needed. It’s just muddled. But-“ He shook himself a bit, fur puffing out.

“Thank you. I greatly appreciate the help. If I need you assistance again, how might I contact you best?”
