Shun had stepped out for a time and it seemed like his trips were getting longer and longer. More likely it was do to the fact that he was wearing down. Tired, sluggish, and his mood was on a downward spiral despite how he tried to hide it.

Mitsu wandered around the room for a time, picking at things before she decided to explore. She had yet to really see much outside the dorm without the reaper present and now would be as good of a time as any. She would have plenty of time right? To look around and get back.

Stepping into a new pair of shoes she managed to acquire Mitsu moved to the door and stepped through it into the monster dormitory. Mostly she had just seen what it looked like on her way to here but the building looked so massive on the outside. It was hard to decide which way to go but she suddenly decided on right and continued down the hall until she made it to a staircase. Up she went to the second floor without a seconds thought taking in her surroundings with curiosity.

This particular trip had taken longer for Shun, especially since he ended up getting stopped by two people. And by the end of it, he was rather beaten up from having fallen down the stairs. Emotionally he wasn't doing much better either. Nursing his shoulder, he moved it with a sense of discomfort as he made his way back to Mitsu's room.

Somewhere in all the previous events, he had managed to lose the original reason why he had walked out. The bag of food he was bringing back. He might have dropped it when he fell down the stairs.

Or something like that.

But he didn't want to go back out. He was tired. He wanted to relax. Or try to. Letting out a sigh, he turned the corner and made his way to the room. However... down the hall he soon saw a flicker of a white tail.

Wait.

Furrowing his brow, he quickly opened the door and saw that the room was empty.

"Kuso..." he hissed to himself before trying to run after where he had seen the tail disappear. He couldn't run as fast as he normally could, but before too long he saw her going up the stairs.

"Mitsu," he called out, "Where are you going?"

He sounded annoyed. Probably because he was exhausted and just had to run after her. In fact, he was forced to stop halfway up the stairs due to his exhaustion. He was feeling lightheaded again and he felt like if he wasn't careful, he'd end up falling once more.

Her name, at first, hadn't gotten her attention. She seemed intent on looking at a picture until the voice finally settled in and she realized who was trying to get her attention. Shuffling back to the stairs, she tilted her head as she looked down at Shun getting ready to point like she was going to explain but whatever she was going to say just came to a halt as she took in Shun's appearance.

"What happened?" She started down the stairs, wobbled two steps down, caught the banister and shuffled the rest of the way slowly.

When she finally reached Shun half way down she looked him over, brows knitted with concern. "Did someone hit you?"

When she didn't respond at first, Shun frowned, ready to call for her again. Had she somehow not heard him? Despite... having excellent hearing? Though, he felt a little bit of relief when she turned around and started to come down towards him. Granted, he looked rather concerned when her own footing didn't seem to be much more steady than his own.

Speaking of footing.. she was wearing a new pair of shoes. The lycan had suddenly garnered interest in footwear.. when she didn't before she had amnesia. His gaze lingered there for a few moments, feeling a heavier weight push down upon him. Another reminder that she was changing. Another reminder..

Shaking his head, he looked up to her wearily and shook his head.

"No. I fell down the stairs," he said quietly, "And you look like you're about to.. so can we go down?"

He didn't want to fall again. Nor did he want her to fall.

"Where were you going anyway...?"

"You fell down the stairs?" Mitsu reached out to touch his arm lightly, somehow missing the fact that he was staring at her feet. "Are you all right? Why didn't you go to the nurse?"

She held onto the banister firmly with her other hand to ensure she wasn't going to go anywhere. "I wouldn't have fallen." She tried to reassure. Sure it had looked bad but she had been coming down the stairs a little faster than needed.

When asked about where she was going Mitsu paused and looked back up the stairs. "I was..looking around. I haven't seen much of the dorms other than on my way to my room." Almost reluctantly she took another step down to indicate they could go.

"I'm fine. I didn't break anything," he said while glancing to the hand touching his arm. Shun's gaze soon shifted back up towards her eyes, not entirely convinced that she wouldn't have fallen. But he dismissed it for now.

"The monster dormitory is practically a maze. You never had a very good sense of direction... so you probably would have gotten lost," he said honestly while looking to her. Since it seemed like they were heading down the stairs, he nodded and slowly turned around, carefully making his way down the steps.

"If.. you want to walk though..we can head outside. It's a pretty nice night. And I could show you a thing or two," he offered. A walk may help him keep his mind off of certain things too. Instead of just sitting around with her in the room. Both the things Lizzy and Mot had said were burning in the back of his mind. As he suspected though, she hadn't regained her memory miraculously here.

"You still don't look all that good," Mitsu protested taking another few steps down slowly. "I think you should still go to see the nurse. I don't think I'll be all that great at patching you up at the moment."

Mitsu looked around again at the large expansive dorm when Shun mentioned that it was a maze and continued to frown when he said she didn't have that good of a sense of direction. "Did I not?" She looked perplexed as she took the final few steps to the bottom level, teetered, and then balanced out and waited for Shun to join her.

"I don't think you should be doing much walking. If you want to sit down outside we can...and then the nurse." She wasn't going to give up on the nurse idea.

"There isn't really anything to patch up. Lizzy fixed my shoulder but aside from that I'm just bruised up. This isn't anything I haven't undergone before. I'll be fine," he urged.

As for the question on directions...

"Not at all. Whenever I let you take the lead in town to wherever we end up getting lost," he said flatly. It was true though! Shun shook his head lightly at a few of those memories.

"I'm not going to the nurse. I'll heal on my own just fine. But I know a place where we could sit outside."

"...I sound like an irritating person to deal with.." Mitsu said softly in return to his flat tone.

Her focus went to the floor as they continued their way through the dorms. "If you're not going to the nurse you at least need to rest. Obviously if you're falling down the stairs you're not well."

Shun frowned at that.

"Not at all. Everyone has their flaws. I still got surprised now and then that you put up with me even," he said quietly. Walking along with her, he let out a breath and shrugged.

"I'm fine. Lizzy had me climbing to the top of this dorm so I was just a little weary. A little stroll won't hurt me. The place I have in mind isn't too far away anyway," he stated.

"No stairs are involved too."

"Climbing the stairs shouldn't wear you out to the point you fall down them," Mitsu protested, though her expression seemed to be fighting something. Like she was trying to keep from being angry over how stubborn he was being. "Just...try to take it easy. You really need to sleep."

Her attention turned toward the end of the hall as they approached, her eyes taking in the outside as they left the monster dorms. She paused for a moment then looked back at the reaper. "Where to?"
PostPosted: Tue Aug 14, 2012 9:10 pm

"It was a slip, ok?" he said while staring at her, "I'm not infallible. Even I'm going to trip or slip or whatever now and then."

Shun let out a sigh, shifting his shoulder a bit in discomfort. However, he refused to clutch at it right now especially since Mitsu seemed adamant about his condition. There was nothing really new there.

"I can't sleep. Even if I manage to fall asleep it never lasts long," he murmured under his breath before opening the door that let them out. The cool air blew in and it looked like it was a rather clear night. No clouds from what he could see.

"The Reaper gardens..." he uttered while stepping out after letting her go first. Placing his hands into his pockets, he glanced up to the sky. Stars could be seen littering the dark mass. Not that he would have known, having only been to the human world during the daylight hours, but the view was nothing like the human sky. The night was also a little darker, as what would have been the brightest thing was currently hidden away. A new moon.

There was a touch of sadness in his eye as he realized this.

"How apt..." he murmured to himself.

"Then why are you so hard on yourself when you do?" It was obvious she wasn't talking about simply falling as she glanced up at Shun tentatively before looking forward again.

"Some sleep is better than none. It's showing that you aren't resting," She avoided eye contact looking toward the direction she now knew the reaper dorms to be.

"A garden?" Mitsu looked up at the sky briefly regarding the stars only shortly before turning back in the direction they were headed. "It's so dark." Despite how slow her movements were they were fluid in her new shoes but she stepped with caution like the darkness was almost foreign.

Shun glanced to her, then slowly shook his head.

"There's a difference between slipping and failing," he said quietly and somewhat unhappily.

"I'd rather stay awake..." he added regarding the sleep. If it were a simple matter as just not staying asleep long and waking up an hour or so later and nothing else, then he probably would have tried to sleep more. Being tormented by nightmares though, was a whole other matter.

"The moon isn't out.." he explained before looking to her again. There was something strange about the way she moved. He wouldn't have really expected her to be able to walk with grace with those shoes. Well.. in general, Mitsu was never really too graceful of a girl. Not only that, but she seemed fairly wary of the dark. Grimacing, he reached out to take her hand so he could try and guide her.

"The darkness won't bite you," he said quietly.

"Are you sure?" Her tone suggested he better think about it carefully. The difference between falling and failing were really only a matter of perception. "And stop being stubborn. You're obviously used to sleeping." Her voice sounded almost testy, a tad irritated though despite all the sleep Mitsu was getting she rarely looked rested. In fact she was looking less so by the day, dozing in class, sometimes unsteady, her eyes often looked like they were fighting to stay open.

She didn't really respond to the moon comment, her expression softening after a moment. As Shun reached for her hand she looked at it warily for a moment before she slid her fingers into his. The contact seemed to warm her expression some before it shifted to a sad look. "It's not the darkness I'm worried about. It's what I can trip over that I can't see."
