Late one night while Mitsu was sound asleep, Shun decided to take the time to take a little walk outside. He was restless, despite the fact that his body was sleep deprived. But there were too many things going on through his head that he couldn't even really relax or meditate anywhere. Some fresh air might help in that regard. Once he was outside, he let out a breath and brushed his hand through his hair. He didn't plan on being out for long. Just something to try and help clear his mind a bit. Despite it being one of the warmer Octobers, the night was still fairly cool. The Reaper placed his hands into his pockets and just began to stroll around quietly.

Something very noisy dropped out of a tree a few feet away, and crumpled into a pile on the ground. No sound came from the lump, but it was clearly a person. And it was clearly unconscious.

It had been a quiet night and Shun was a little on edge due to everything that was going on in his life at the moment, so when he heard a sudden and loud thud, he actually called out his daggers, ready for a potential attack. However, he took note of the body lying on the ground nearby.
That was weird.
Still, he was a little wary. Slowly, he moved towards the fleshy lump on the ground to investigate. He kept his daggers out, just in case. Once he was next to it, he lightly nudged the form with his toe.

The nudge managed to unfold the body from the pile it had fallen into, and Riley's back hit the ground as she flattened out. Her arm came flying around to smack him on the leg, but it was far from an attack - she was still very much unconscious. Breathing, and alive, but out like a light.
At least he knew who it was, now.

As the person was revealed, Shun let out a hiss as she smacked him on the leg, buckling a bit from the sudden strike. Though, now he could see that it was Riley. Who... apparently was completely out cold. Letting out a breath, he looked to her, then to the tree that she had apparently fallen out of.
Grimacing, he went ahead and dismissed his daggers before crouching down, checking to see if she had any injuries.
Or if she was just.. sleeping or whatever.

Ah. It looked like there was a bump on her head. Grimacing, Shun let out a sigh before looking around. Should he just leave her here? Or should he drag her to Cricket's office?
She wasn't exactly a friend, but she was an ally. Looking back up, he went to try and gauge how far it was to the Nurse's office. Actually, better idea. He nudged her harder to try and make her come around.

A hand snapped out and wrapped long claws around Shun's hand, tugging on it in hopes of bringing him to the ground. Whether it worked or not, Riley pushed herself up onto her elbows, with eyes thinned in anger and just a touch of pain.
Why are you touching me, boil? She growled tersely.

Shun let out a grunt as she suddenly grabbed him and managed to drag him down. As emotionally and physically exhausted as he was, it wasn't hard to push him about. He didn't have that much strength in him because of it all. Grimacing, he stared back at her, glaring.
"I was trying to wake you up," he hissed, "I see that was a mistake on my part. I'll be sure to leave you on the ground should I come upon you like this again."

Riley glared up at him, anger rolling off of her in waves, as they stared at one another. She didn't appreciate his sarcasm, but his words were finally starting to get to her.
Wake.. up.. what. She let his hand go, and looked past his head, to see where she was. All the anger left her in place for a dizzying confusion, before she finally remembered the last thing she was doing before she found herself in this compromising position with the reaper.
Ahhh... ********> Her elbows gave out and she flopped back down, only to wince when her head hit the floor on one of many new sore spots on her skin. I fell. I wasn't.. I fell. I suppose I owe you an apology.
She didn't sound very apologetic.

When she let go of him, Shun went ahead and rolled off before sitting up by her. Despite the words she said, she didn't sound all too sincere. Eh. He didn't really give a damn.
"Yes. You fell from the tree. Nearly thought I was under attack," he said with a huff. He wasn't going to ask what she had been doing in the tree at first. That wasn't his business.
"Can you stand?"

Of course I can stand, don't be ridiculous. She pushed herself back up as she said it, and started to put pressure on her legs, only to crumble back to the ground. Her right leg was scratched, and the knee looked a little torn. Her hand pressed over it. Eventually.
She looked up at the tree, and snorted. Technically, I did not fall from the tree. I fell from that building there. She pointed at the tall, looming building on their other side. I was attempting to use my wings. Apparently, I lack the skills necessary for them to function properly. Her voice sounded bitter. Failure was never a good look on her.

Shun raised an eyebrow as he watched her get up to little avail. When she pointed out where she had fallen from, he stared at the building before frowning. Well. That explained things a little more thoroughly.
"I see."
He didn't have any insight on that. Flight was not within his realm of knowledge at all.. as was noted when he was a minipet with wings for a day and could not fly at all.
"Just a matter of more training I suppose," he said before looking to her knee. Letting out a sigh, he got up to his feet and extended a hand out to see if she would take it to stand.

When she tried to get up again, she put her weight on her left leg, and stood carefully. Nothing was broken, but she could feel her knee was sorely bruised, and needed the weight kept off of it for a night.
Training. She murmured, nodding softly. You're right, of course. I'm just not used to.. not knowing where to start. Her eyebrow rose, and she eyed Shun warily. What are you doing out here tonight, anyway? Training, yourself?

When Riley ignored the extended hand, Shun merely placed both hands back into his pockets. He wasn't going to force her up if she wanted to stand on her own power.
"Not at the moment, no. Just out to clear my head you could say."
Which.. wasn't really working. But he had a distraction which was just as good he supposed.
