Go to the crash site and see if the alien is ok.
See if the alien is still there/Go to where the alien is
Try to befriend the alien/show the alien we don't want to harm him.
Talk to the alien, see if we have any common language or way of communication or can learn each others languages.
See if the alien needs/wants help fixing his spaceship and/or see if the spaceship can even be fixed.
If the alien wants to leave and his spaceship can't be fixed, set him up with one of our space vehicles.
See if the alien would like to stay in contact with Earth and try to define coordinates for radio signals and things like that (if that would be a possible/agreeable way to communicate)
Perhaps in the future, we could send an ambassador from Earth to the aliens home planet.

My thing with aliens and all is just...

That's exactly what Aieyene the alien wanted, but instead she had to escape from a weird alternate version of area 51.
