The day was one of those warm humid days that would often have the swamps buzzing and sounding with life of all kinds. But for some reason today the sounds were nearly completely silent. Durning the summer this was unheard of and it was this silence that drew a swamp colored stallion from the depths of the swamp. He had been curious about this silence that seemed to only be around him. At first he thought maybe he had gone deaf but his large hooves made the same splash and sucking sound as he moved thew the muck. He could hear that noise so it was not his ears. Surely the life in the swamp he had spend his entire life was playing some kind of game with him. This thought of his home playing with him brought a bit of a smile to his moss colored muzzle and he allowed the silence to lead him along.
So wrapped up in chasing this silence Sumpf was unaware how close to the edge and the drier land of the swamp he had come. The large stallion moved easily threw the thick waters of the swamp and his legs were muddy up to his knees but his powerful legs had no trouble navigated the wet parts. Though he did seem a bit more unsteady when he walked over the solid ground his legs naturally stepping higher. He was not sure where the silence was leading him but even if it was to nothing special the fact that his home and done this game with him was amazing.
