To Buluu the river was a place he really didn't care to be near but even he needed to drink and the river was the closest place to get water. Buluu was standing on the bank of the river just watching the water go by. The river was the only place he was trully nervous besides when he is around lions. As a young cub he had fallen into the river while playing and nearly drowned. His mother had been the one who saved him and to this day the river still gave him chills.
He only crossed the river if he absolutely had to. If he was following a herd of gazelles because they were migrating or if he was cornered and had no other way to go. He absolutely feared the river and there was never a day when he was around the river that he wasn't vigilant about his surroundings and that very deep body of water.

Unlike the poor cheetah, Allochka was rather happy and content to be near water. It was so lovely, and the sound of it was music to her ears. Walking silently, her paws placing softly, the pretty lioness traveled from her home close to the mountains to go further down the river where a larger portion of it was. Higher up it was harder to get to the liquid due to the large rock formations, and the obstacles that made it difficult to even get a reasonable amount!
But that was no problem or worry to her. She enjoyed a nice walk, and... it was rather lonely back home... Everytime she ventured out she did indeed hope to perhaps meet a kind soul or two that might enjoy a enjoyable conversation or two. Reaching the trickling water, her sapphire blue eyes blinked about the bank, locking onto the lean, pale, splotched figure just a ways off. A gentle smile took to her features upon seeing the male, interested, but being respectful in giving him his space. Lowering her head gracefully, she began to daintily lap at the water, eyes closing in a peaceful and innocent manner; clearly not a threat in the slightest.

Nothing was going to escape Buluu's attention while he was near the river. So when a lioness walked up and began drinking from the river he knew she was there and was keeping a very close eye on her. He tried his best to make it seem like he wasn't paying her any attention but his muscles were tense and he was ready to run at any moment.
He was very nervous in the position he was in right now. He was close to two of the things he feared the most. The river being the first and the lioness the second. He had always had a problem with lions just as he had with the river. He just couldn't help being tense even when the lioness was in the least threatening pose she could be in. He never let his guard down around a lion.

Continuing to lap daintily, currently unaware of the cheetah's distressed state, Allochak swayed her tail behind her slowly, and subtly, quite enjoying the refreshing drink.
Once she was satisfied, her head lifted to lick at her lips in a proper manner, so as not to lose a single drop. Glancing back to her company, a shocked and confused expression took to her features. Was... he ok? Brows furrowing worriedly, she gave a cant of her head, "Is... everything alright, sir?"

Buluu watched every move the lioness made very closely. He was waiting for her to make a move like a lot of lions have and come after him. His muscles were tense and he was ready to jolt at that moment she turned and came at him. However when she looked over to him he was suprised at her actions.
Did she say sir? Did she just ask if he was alright? Was he having a really messed up dream right now? Had he fallen in the water and was now unconscious having this delusion. He had to make sure he'd heard her right. "What?"

Blinking, she gave a more concerned expression, deciding staying distanced might be for the best. But she did turn slightly, just so he could hear her better, "Are you alright? You seem rather... distressed, sir." she commented, given his body language and tense demeanor. "Is there something the matter?" Was he injured? Or in trouble?

Buluu was suprised by how kind the lioness was seeming to be. Even when lions were acting kind Buluu had been before a couple that had turned on him. This lioness was acting kind now but would she continue to be kind or would she turn on him. He wasn't sure but he wasn't going to let his guard down to find out.
"I'm just nervous ma'am." He replied leaving it at that for now. He would tred lightly with her and be wary. He just wasn't ready to really trust any creature bigger than him if it could take him down too.

Worry contorted on her soft, gentle face, ears swiveling forward, "If I may ask, what of? Is there anything I can do?" her eyes looked about them, scanning the area, "Is... there someone following you?" she asked in a much more hushed tone, afraid they may be overheard!

Buluu now just seemed embarrassed. He didn't want to tell the lioness that it was her that was making him nervous because she might just choose to use that against him but she seemed to genuinely want to help him.
"There's no one following me." He answered. "And as for anything you might could do um... Move away?" His voice trailed off with the last two words. "I mean no offense when I say that. I am just fearful of lions." He turned his gaze to the ground but only momentarily. "I've been attacked by many lions in my life."
