It'd been a week and a half, roughly, that the ghoul had disappeared without telling him. The mini pet was healing, but wasn't ready to be released yet. Every morning, the stag sat by the ghoul's door and tried to cool the room down for the minis he heard in the room. At least, it sounded like her minis. He didn't know if she brought them or not. He just hoped she left them enough food and water if she didn't take them. He couldn't exactly just go in and look around, could he? Her door was probably locked, no to mention that was rude.

For Jack's sake, he should have invested in a skellyphone. Even if he couldn't use it, he could probably figure out how to send a message to her and see if she was alright. See if her minis were fed and watered, or with her or something. This no contact thing was kind of hard on his nerves. He felt like she was avoiding him because he had nearly made her cry their first meeting.

At the same time, he felt it couldn't be that because they'd found the Quizzle and were supposed to take turns taking care of it. At night, after he got back from wandering the campus, he sat against the door, reading a book and just tried to make the minis as comfortable as he could. He sometimes would slip food under there, not sure if they would eat it or not. As for water, well, he couldn't do too much about that. There wasn't much space between the bottom of the door and the floor. Not enough to slip actual bowls there. If ice went under the door, he was sure it would ruin something or other, so he just hoped what he was doing was enough for them.

Right now though, he'd managed to fall asleep against her door. His back was against it and he'd made himself comfortable right there in the hallway. If she came back, she would see him no problem, or trip over him. Either way, her tripping or the door opening would wake him up enough to alert him that she was back.

Hopefully she wouldn't find this too distressing or disturbing.

Tahki had gotten back from her vacation only the day before. Charlie had dragged her in to some deal about a letter but went off and disappeared. She had no idea where he'd gone and was alright with that. It was at least not something dangerous sounding. At the very least she hoped it wasn't.

The vacation over all had been nothing worth noting. A waste of time in her eyes. Her parents had dragged her with out a word off to the vacation home. All in the name that her father had some time to spare and wanted to at least spend some time with the family. At least this was her mothers selfish excuse for the trip. Her father, Tahki knew, could care less about such things like vacationing with the family. He was head of the family business after all. Time off was just something her mother invented on his behalf.

Her bags were still not unpacked. She was laying on her bed dead asleep where Charlie had left her before. Slowly, Tahki managed to get up. She wiped the tired from her eyes and looked over at her door. There was a shadow blocking the hall light from leaking beneath her door this morning. This usually meant a new package which usually meant a new game. Only thing was that Tahki had not ordered a new game.

Tahki yawned.

Slowly she shuffled to the door and slowly opened it. The gryphon found her self staring down at a very familiar blue body. Tahki blinked. Instinctively she poked Uller with her foot.

Poke. Poke. Poke. Poke.

She wasn't really awake or sure what she was doing.

Well, apparently he hadn't heard her or felt he come in. Perhaps she came in to her room before he decided to fall asleep. His dreams were non existent this night, too tired from trying to keep Tahki's room cool. Uller was just slumbering really hard right now, comfortable with the coldness surrounding him. His little tail flicked this way and that as he slept, twitching every once in a while. His breathing was slow and steady, showing he wasn't in a nightmare. His body just naturally twitched every now and then.

However, something jerked him awake and he reached out, automatically, to grab whatever it was that was touching him. He thought maybe Blizzard, thinking he was back in his dorm room, so he ended up grabbing Tahki's foot, still half asleep, and yanked on it.

"Stop it, Bizzard," he murmured, sighing without even opening his eyes.

Sorry I didnt tag last night. ; n ; <3

Blizzard?

Tahki blinked. She recalled his minipet being named that. At least she was pretty sure it was something along those lines. Maybe? He seemed to like cold related things. Tahki smiled. The poking stopped for a moment as she pondered just how she would get him to wake up.

Her demon cat was already one step ahead of her. There was a loud crashing noise. Something had been knocked off. What ever it was it must have been very breakable. Tahki cringed a little at the possibilities of what might have been knocked off. Hopefully something that wasn't overly of value or super shiny.

"Uller?" Tahki reached out and put a hand on his shoulder very softly. Was he awake now?

The spoke word snapped him straight to wakefulness and he sat up, almost robot like before blinking blearily and rubbing his eyes. He looked about and then blinked when he saw Tahki's face and scrambled to his feet. He actually managed to stumble back a little bit and righted himself before clearing his throat. His cheeks had taken on a red hue of embarrassment and he sighe "... Tahki, I didn't know you were back," he said, seeing how she was in her room alerted him to how hard he was sleeping. He hadn't even felt the door open.

"I was just out here making sure your mini pets were cool enough. If you get used to a certain temperature it's not fun adjusting to a warmer one," he murmured, clearly still groggy. Uller was trying to play it cool though, so hopefully she wouldn't notice.

"When did you get back? ...Where did you go?" he asked, confused, more than anything.

Her minipets. Tahki felt her stomach lurch feeling a little guilty. The quizzle wasn't yet mentioned but the gryphon knew she'd dropped the ball on that.

"T-thank you ...I'm so sorry." She frowned. If she had been more touchy feely she might have included a hug to the apology.

"It was a sudden thing. My parents showed up in my room and dragged me away for a vacation. I wasn't allowed to ask to stay. They pay my bills so they get the say," She still looked a little lost in the headlights. She'd thought about Uller on her way to the retreat. She had been worried he might hate her and even now she was worried that he might. The gryphons head dipped down in shame.

"Hows the quizzle?"

"Ah."

It would seem, despite her personality, that her parents were a bit eccentric. An odd combination, if you asked him. Tahki seemed to be the least eccentric of the people he encountered while she had been on her vacation. Sighing, he looked around the hall and then gave a small smile. She seemed really nervous.

"The quizzle is getting better. My minis are taking care of it right now. Showing it around my room. It's a quiet, kind of skittish creature, really," he drawled out. Seeing her head dipped down like that, he couldn't help but reach out and tip her chin upwards. "I'm not angered, if that's what you think. I was confused, worried, even, but anger didn't even cross my mind. I figured it might be a sudden vacation," he confessed, sighing.

If she had hugged him, Uller probably would have been stiff as a board in complete shock. Rubbing his own face after he drew his hand back, he yawned a little more. "I have a phone now, in case something like this happens again. That way I can at least message you." He pulled the device out of his coat pocket and kind of stared at it. Hooray for being technology impaired.

The fact that Uller was not angry with her made her very happy. Tahki still felt bad but at least he didn't hate her. Perhaps she'd make it up to him in another way.

"Thats good to hear! I mean about the quizzle." And that he wasn't mad. That was also nice to know. Tahki kept that much to her self though.

"Phone?" And now the conversation took another turn. A phone? Tahki couldn't hide the excitement from her face. Technology was always something she loved. Phones had never really been her interest until she found out they could play games. And not shitty games either, actual decent games. It actually confused Tahki when she got a message or a phone call on one. The gryphon took her phone out of her pocket and showed it to Uller.

"Whats your number? If you don't mind me asking... Uhh... why don't you come in and talk." Tahki stepped out of the door frame to allow Uller some room to enter.

What was his number? He had no idea. Looking at the small device he just held it out for Tahki before making his way into her dorm room slowly. Their first meeting had been in his dorm, now their second would be in hers. At least he didn't have to worry about freezing her out like he did all the others he'd met. Sighing heavily, he stood in the middle of her dorm, biting his lip before turning back to her.

"Honestly, I don't know how to use it. So I don't know my phone number. There's no... other numbers in there either," he said finally. "So if you know how to find my number, you can have it. It is what it's used for, right?" He asked, arching a brow and then ran a hand through his hair. He was brushing it with his fingers since he had just woken up. Which reminded him. He finally ran his other hand over his eyes, digging the sleep from them. Ugh, she was seeing him wake up. This was really embarrassing for the usually pristine boil. His breath probably didn't smell the best either, but so far she hadn't complained.

"I'm technology depraved. My scaretop has .... ah, dents in it. It doesn't work right." It didn't help it was old and that he didn't know scaretops could be out dated.

Tahki took the phone and looked at it. She looked at and hummed while thinking. It went sideways, upside down, sideways and then back right side up like she was trying to figure it out. Then she activated it so that Uller could see. Navigating her way carefully she found his contact card with his number. Carefully she started to add it to her own phone. However , she almost dropped the two phones when she heard Ullers scaretop had dents all over it.

"WHAT?" She was looking at him quite surprised. "I mean.. H-how... Dents? Is it an old one? You need to bring it over so I can look over it. Maybe it doesnt work right because of the dents," She gasped, "Did you buy it with the dents?" The whole time she was questioning Uller the gryphon had busily been adding her own number to his phone. She had also taken the time to write Ullers number down on a note card during all of this.

"Take this and the note card. You should be able to figure it out. May I see your scaretop?" She was putting her own phone under her hat by this point.

Uller was interested in what she was doing, so he watched her very closely. He leaned over to see the different screens and everything she pulled up before tilting his head. He hadn't a clue what she was doing, but it was entertaining. He jumped when she raised her voice above what it usually was, eyes wide and then blinked.

"Oh, no. It didn't come with dents. I bought it brand new about... four years ago? It's... Slow. I get impatient with it." What he was implying was that he actually hit his scaretop with his fists, or shoes, or whatever else because it was always giving him an error. Or a million windows popped up. Or one thing or another. It was just a bad experience for the boil. He didn't see anything wrong with it.

Taking the card and his phone, he pushed them both into his pockets before shrugging. "I guess... It won't turn on right now, though," he said calmly. He had no idea why. He quickly went across the hall, fetched the scaretop and the charger and brought it back to Tahki's room after securing his own door. He shut hers with a foot and then shrugged. "I don't know what's wrong with it. It hasn't worked like it should since the day I bought it."

Tahki was missing the information about Uller beating his scaretop to death so, to her, it sounded like a serious problem with the place he bought it.

"Four years is actually pretty old for a scaretop. Its about time you replaced it I'd say," She was still looking thoughtful. "Maybe I can have a look. I built my own computer," There was all of a sudden a sense of pride in her words. She was even smiling now, "Don't know much about repairing broken computers. Can't be to difficult. Might even be easy if you just need new parts. I still think by the sounds you need a new one."

She went ahead and ushered Uller towards her computer. The tower it self was very small and clear. All the working parts were able to be seen and there was a hint of a glow blue. The case it self resembled ice crystals. Tahkis key board, mouse and screen matched. The screen it self was a very thin piece of glass like material making it look all that more futuristic. Tahki clearly had spent top dollar on the parts.

"This is my desktop~" It wasn't every day she showed people her baby. Uller got a special look at it. "I usually just play games and ebay on it."

The stag handed her his scaretop and then moved to examine her computer. It was very nice, but it wasn't one she could carry with her. So what was the point, honestly? Looking back at her, he realized what horrible condition his scaretop was in.

The casing was cracked, scratched, scuffed and probably partially sticky. There were dents in it, and if she were to open it up, the keyboard would be warped because of the beatings he gave it. Surprisingly enough, all of the keys were there. It didn't mean they worked, but they were there! His touch pad was dirty and the whole thing was just dusty. If she could get it booted up, she would probably realize it had several virus' on it and it probably was useless to even begin repairing it.

"Honestly, I don't know if it's worth it. Sometimes it boots up, sometimes it doesn't." He pushed his hands in his pockets, not wanting to touch hers computer. He might break it if he did. "The thing is absolutely useless. If I can connect to my browser thing, it's so slow and then a million windows pop up and then it freezes." That's usually when the beating started happening.

O A O;

Tahkis face froze when she was handed and remained that way the more Uller went on about the laptop. It sounded like a waste of time for sure. She almost felt dirty with such a contraption in her hands.

"Oh... Oh no... no no no ..." The gryphon was almost holding the thing away from her in disgust as if Uller had just handed her a giant bugger or a gross kind of bug. Maybe she was being a little over dramatic. Maybe she wasn't being dramatic enough.

"Did.. Some one break it? " A lot of the exterior looked deliberate. Maybe Uller had pissed off the wrong person and used his scaretop as a shield.

"Someone? Me. I hit it when it doesn't work," he stated simply. She was being way over dramatic and he frowned a how she was acting. Sighing, he took the scaretop back from her and opened it. He hit the button, and the thing actually booted up this time. "Oh, this is a surprise," he muttered, sitting on the floor as he waited for it to load completely. He typed in his password, after practically beating a couple of the keys, and then turned it around to show her. "It doesn't work a lot. The keys are stuck, a lot, too. I have to hit them really hard to get them to work, or copy another letter from somewhere else."

He looked completely normal and calm as he said this, as if everyone had to do it. He had no idea what he was doing with technology. Maybe Tahki would help him on that matter.
