After his cool down after his duel the mage kind enough to practice with him the Leaf Tribesman, Jacinthus, was on his way away from where the he'd sent him ups little makeshift camp after everyone the journey through the mountain, the battle against the Legendary Beast, and the initial meeting with the member of the Ice Tribe that had welcomed them to lands that her tribe lived in. It was a somewhat harsh place, Zena, but in that camp he'd found at least a spot he could call his for the time being. Still this land was one that he found a little colder then he cared for, but at least they were discovering new things, right? One of those things that he found to be a bit annoying since he was used the nice, hot weather that was normal for the dry lands of Tale. The further they went the more that he was missing home, though at the same time it saddened him a little knowing that once he went home he would likely not see these places or people again. He was trying not to think of that though, instead moving along on his walk, stretching out, not wanting to rest too long after his duel else he get cramped up after the exertion he'd put into that duel.
As though summoned by his earlier thoughts though he turned his head and his eyes were suddenly one another person that he'd started to think that he would never see again, at least not from a distance or surrounded by a bunch of other people, "Takoda..." He breathed, looking the Shifter over, looking from side to side as he saw that nobody else was around, and he was suddenly hurrying forward toward him, caught hold of his wrist, and hurried off with him. He could only hope that nobody saw him and suspected that he was trying to kidnap the guy but what else could he do? Takoda seemed to be one of the most popular, sought after people in any of the five gathered tribes, something that made him worry that he would never get a moment of one on one time with him again... though why that seemed so important all of a sudden was beyond him.
Once they were what he hoped was enough distance between them and the others he turned around to face the Healer, starring at him for a long moment as he caught his breath before saying, "It's been a long time, Takoda." Far, far too long since the day that they met, hung out, and vowed to go fishing... something that had never come to pass due to life getting in the way. Looking back in the direction they came in he said, "Sorry about snatching you up I just... wanted to get some time with you before your fan club came back, including that guy with the shield that seemed to be hanging around the most often, as if he were Takoda's bodyguard or something. It had been such a bother, but now at least Takoda all to himself, right? Something that left him a lot happier then he'd expected. Odd.

Takoda was still trying to adapt to the harsher weather, glad for the dark skin in the day as if seemed to gather much more heat than they would at night. They would need to buy clothes...and hopefully the ice tribe would be willing to trade for it. Shivering in the spot he was still trying to think of what he could trade for clothing and food, what did he have that was valuable for trade?
Thinking back to all the treasure in the cave he pondered if he should go back there and pick something up...though he had no idea how much value the ice tribe may thing of those things. If he thought finding food in Sauti was hard it would be impossible in all this snow in Zena. Takoda however didn't get a chance to really think on it as suddenly there was a firm grip on his wrist and he was being pulled and yanked away from the group.
The shifter couldn't help but offer a squeak in protest and only seemed more surprised when he discovered his kidnapper was..someone he had met before, granted it had been awhile his face colored slightly as the other remembered his name, then it darkened quite a bit at the mention of 'fan club'. Honestly he didn't understand why everyone seemed to like him.
"Ah..i..its good to see you too Jacinthus, I ..s..saw you trav..veling..sorry I didn't come to s...say hello."

Jacinthus starred down at Takoda for a long moment, his mossy green eyes seeming to be taking in every detail about the Shifter as if he thought that if he looked closely enough that he might see some of the changes the other had gone through given that he seemed to have grown up quite a bit since he'd last seen him. One day he was fleeing from bugs the next day he was using powerful magic to blow up that Legendary Beast in a way that Jacin couldn't hope to emulate at the moment, "It's been a long time." He said, then gave a bit of a smile, "It's alright, I didn't seem to be able to find any time to come over to greet you either even though I really wanted to." It seemed as though he'd had his hands full since the day that they set off from Tale, leaving him without the chance to try to catch up with this particular person before now.
"I am glad that I was able to at get a bit of your time now." He told him, looking down at his own hand before releasing his hold on Takoda, "Ahh, sorry about that." He hadn't met to keep such a hold on him, it wasn't as if someone was going to come and snatch him back, right? Actually he supposed that it was entirely possible since Takoda seemed to be so popular but he would see if there was anyway to keep that from happen. He knew it was a touch childish but he really didn't want to share him, even if it were just for a couple moments.
Of course now that he was here he realized something kind of funny, he really had no idea what to say to him. It had been some time since they had seen one another, it wasn't as though they were close friends, but for whatever reason he'd been unable to get his mind off the Shifter. It seemed whenever he was alone and deep in thought his mind seemed to skip along and ended up on this particular person. Starring at him for a moment he said, "I... heh, I find myself blanking on what to say. I am just... happy to have caught up with you again." He said, lifting a hand to scratch it against the back of his own head, looking a bit embarrassed, "Oops... maybe I should have tried to plan this better, huh?" It was nice to suddenly be worrying over something as simple as this instead of worrying over what was plaguing him just a short time ago he thought to himself, his ears giving a little flick.

Takoda was staring to wonder if he had something on his face, given the way that Jac was staring at him. The shifter would start to develop a complex with the amount of starring he had been receiving lately, and though he knew that the leaf tribe member seemed to have a very firm hold on his hands he didn't pull away, though was still embarrassed when Jac finally realized it and let go.
His face feeling very hot, he shifted and then looked away. Why did he feel like this anyway? The first time he had met Jac they had an enjoyable time, suppose it was all the gushing that Jac seemed to be doing and Takoda didn't quite understand the appeal of himself.
"D..o not worry about it. We all had ou..our objectives...after all..that last battle was...unexpected...I felt sorry though that we could not save the people that had..gone missing. It almost feels like the ...we had come too late." Takoda murmured looking over Jac after a moment, and noted the bow that accompanied the leaf tribe member. Pointing at it he gave a small smile.
"I see you got a bow...congratulations.." Takoda wanted to ask about the girl that seemed to stick to Jac's side constantly, like Chal did with Takoda he wasn't sure her role in the leaf tribe member's life. Shivering he tried to warm himself up but found that it just wasn't working.
"Let us sit down for a bit...we can catch up ..since we last spoke."

Jacinthus gave a little nod of his heard, one ear giving a little twitch, Yeah, I guess that we have all been busy. It doesn't change the fact that I have wanted to seek you out for a while now, since the last time we met really." He admitted, though he still quite understand why it was that he felt so drawn to the Shifter or why it was that he wanted to see him again so strongly. Really, other then Keilana, there were few that he thought on so hard as Takoda. He was worried about him in the battle, though he really didn't need to be, he was thinking about him during the trip, and even before the journey they were on he'd been thinking about that fishing trip that they were planning on taking. It was... odd.
At the mention of the battle they'd been in, as well as the loss of the two members of the Wind Tribe he gave a nod of his head, "A shame we hadn't gotten there sooner." He agreed, though really how could they have been any quicker unless the Wind Tribe woman had asked sooner for their help, right? He glanced in the direction of the mountain they'd come from then said, "At least we were able to find them and send them home." It was a luxury that hadn't been afforded to Kei and himself when it came to their parents, something that bothered him to this day. Not that he ever spoke such words out loud. Turning to look back at Takoda, not wanting to think to hard on such things Instead he just wanted to enjoy the fact that he was one more with his Shifter friend. It was a nice occasion and not one that was meant to be sullied with thoughts of the past and regret.
"Ahh, yeah. I seemed to have finally proven myself to the tribe though I don't think I am quit to the point I want to be at." Then again given Jacinthus's nature to keep striving toward excellence it was doubtful that he would ever be truly content, "And you, you must have done something amazing as well to grow so much since I last saw you. That magic of yours is really something." He told his friend, rather impressed, if a little envious, of what he'd been able to do.
When Takoda mention them sitting down and catching up he gave a nod of his head, "That sounds like a good idea. Let's see if we can't find somewhere out of the wind." He said, walking along with him to see if they could find a nice spot, out of the wind, and away from the others where they could sit, talk, and enjoy themselves without being bothered. It wasn't really that he didn't like other people, for the most part he didn't mind them, but at the moment he'd prefer a sort of one on one meeting with his friend.

Takoda's mind was still lingering on the bodies of the two wind tribe members when Jacinthus explained how he had proved himself to his tribe, he supposed all the tribes had their own ways of testing their children to see if they were worthy. The shifter wondered if their methods of testing were different, but he didn't exactly to replay his own testing events to Jacinthus. It still sent shivers up his spine to think of it. So instead he shook his head sadly when Jac seemed to think he had done something fabulous to impress his own people.
"Ah..not really...I ...did a lot of...running. That battle we just did well...I think it was a fluke...since I had never used my magic for fighting before..I use it for healing mostly." Takoda replied modestly taking a breath as if it was good to get out his doubts into the air. As they moved to find shelter from the wind he found himself drawn to take Jac's hand as he felt a bit unsteady as they moved.
Once they were situated and found a good spot in the crutch of outcrop of rocks they huddled down against it, the shifter perhaps getting too close due to the coolness in the air.
"I kinda wish I had learned fire magic....its so cold here..." THe shifter lamented not enjoying the climate here.

Jacinthus gave a laugh, "You too? I ended up having to out run some Witu that were wanting to bite me in the a**." He said, making a bit of a face as he thought of the snappy creatures that he cornered him and the youngling for a while, having nipped at his legs a bit before he was able to get the two of them to safety. Of course then there was more running to get himself and the girl out of Witu territory, "I will be happy if I don't have to deal with another of them for some time to come." Next time he saw one he'd have one of their sparkly pelts up on his wall at home for sure and he'd find out what Witu meat tasted like. Being that it was a predator one could only guess. At the mention that Takoda felt the battle was a bit of a fluke Jacin nodded, "I'd like to think of it as a fluke as well, I have never been so useless in my life... I will tell you what it had me near questioning myself and my skill. If it were a fluke maybe that means the next time I find myself facing off with a giant predator I might do a little better." At least he sure hoped so... the last thing he wanted was a repeat of what happened against that beast.
As the two of them found a nice outcropping of rocks to settling down against he gave the snow a bit of a look, "This place is making me miss Tale, at least it was nice and warm there." Even if it were really flat... though after being in Sauti he missed the flat as well. While it was nice enough to visit these places he sure didn't want to stay here for all that long, eager to get back home and back to training himself.
"If we could find some wood I can make us a fire. I do it back home so that Kei and I can cook our food." He said, looking around a bit. The snow would likely mean that the wood would be wet, something that he really wasn't used to dealing with since it wasn't all that often that it rained in Tale, something one could tell easily enough just by taking a glance around. When the rains did come though they were both welcome and a cause for celebration. Giving a smile he said, "If you came to hang out for a while in Tale I can promise you that your water magic would make you quite the hero." Though he was already rather popular he wondered if Takoda wanted more fans then he already had. Surely he wouldn't want a whole village in Tale wanting him to stick around just for his water though.

Takoda shivered and gave a small smile before nodded his head, listening to him regal about his encounters in his trails he wondered if all the tribes elders were just cruel. Sending him off to try and help people while being attacked by bug people...Jac had to deal with creatures trying to save a little girl. Sure he supposed that the elders were just making sure that everyone wasn't going to bail right away...but...
Looking to the leaf tribe member he thought on his words, how him having water magic would make him a hero in Tale, a small smile on his lips as he looked ahead he chuckled and shook his head. "I don't want to be a hero...I just want to help people..." He murmured as he shifted closer to Jac, thinking a bit he tilted his head and dared to ask,
"Who is Kei?...is it that girl who hangs around you all the time?"

Jacinthus couldn't help but to laugh, "Really? I do, I want to be one of those heroes that people talk about even after I am dead. The stories of the great Jacinthus who did... something or another, I haven't figured that out yet, to help the Leaf Tribe!" He made it sound quite dramatic despite the fact that he had zero ideas at the present as to what it was that he was going to do for his people to make them prosper in a manner that he wanted to. All he knew was that if he could help them in a serious manner, one that carried on, that he would do just that. All he had to do is keep his eyes open and see what he might be able to figure out.
When Takoda shifted closer to him, well even closer, he glanced over at him and he found his words faltering for a moment, something new for Jacin who could talk about himself and his great dreams of being the most awesome thing ever all day. Of course his tongue tied moment seemed to end when the other asked who Kei was, "Kei? Isn't she great? So cute and amazing, did you know that she actually became a guard recently? It kind of scares me a little... that weapon she wields, I worry I might tease her about the wrong thing and take a hammer blow to the head." He said, giving a grin, then blinked a couple times, gave Takoda a serious look, and asked, "Why... are you interested in her?" Jacinthus, while a bit fan of Takoda, didn't approve...

Takoda listened intently giving a small laugh at Jacinthus's idea of becoming a legendary hero. Where his name would be whispered in awe every where he went, a name that would live on even after the Leaf member was dead and gone. Could someone become that famous? He supposed it was possible and it would be very interesting to have known a person that was so famous.
Listening to Jac gush about the girl named Kei Takoda wondered if she was his girlfriend, or mate even. Given the way he went on and on about her he had to wonder if they were talking about the same girl. She had become a gaurd? Yikes.
When the question was poised at him in regards to him liking Kei he gave him a wide eye'd look of confusion and he shook his head rather feverishly.
"N..noo! I..just...was ..cu..curious...c..cause I..don't think sh..she lik..es me much...we..we met once...before." Takoda tried to explain feeling the heat come to his face, "S..she ch..chased me up a ..t..tree and...a..hit it with ...a ..a branch..."

Jacin listened closely as Takoda stuttered about how he was just curious, that Keilana didn't seem to like him when they had met before, "You already met with her once?" He asked, sounding a little surprised about that, wondering when that had been and why had hadn't been informed about such an important thing! He would need to ask Kei about it later he supposed. Turning all his attention back to Takoda he couldn't help but stare at the last part... then burst out laughing, "Up a tree and hit you with a branch, huh? That I can see, Kei is rather enthusiastic at times and that tree branch of hers did make one hell of a makeshift weapon back when she was still a prentice so what you described... yeah, I can see that easily happening with her."
Lifting a hand up to patted Takoda on the shoulder, "It's hard to tell with her at times, she tends to take swings at those she likes so... you never know with her. As often as she's taken swings at me and just as often the times she's knocked me flat on my back well... you can tell I am her most loved person." It really did sound like an abusive sort of relationship when he put it like that, "Eh, not to say Kei is a violent girl or something, I mean I tend to antagonize her a lot but it's my job you know, what else is a big brother good for, right?" He gave a bit of a grin at that. He couldn't really help but to tease the girl, especially when it came to Enki, she had the worst crush on that guy. It was all well and good since it was a relationship that didn't really appear as though there was a chance at it working out but with Takoda... they were a similar age, he was a nice enough guy, Keilana had chased him up a tree with a stick which meant she must find him interesting, right?
Giving a little grumble he said, "You know, as much as I like you Takoda I don't know what I think about sharing you with my sister or sharing my sister with you." He told him, giving a mock pout before chuckling, "Maybe I am just selfish and want to keep both of you to myself or something." He said, not really thinking on how that might sound.

Takoda honestly didn't think that Jacinthus was thinking right, after all how the girl had reacted to him back int he forest of Jahaur didn't really seem like she 'liked him' in fact it seemed more violent. Were all the women like that in the wind tribe? And even if she did like him where did that put Takoda? Takoda didn't really have feelings for the girl, she had quite frankly scared him some what.
Takoda looked to Jac when he expressed not wanting to share him with...his sister? Why did that make his heart lift somewhat? To know that the girl was just Jacinthus's sister seemed to make his world all the much better, and yet...terrifying. Why was that though? Looking Jac over he felt his face color slightly. It was the same feeling that he got when he leaned into Chalcedony before they had left their home land and he wasn't even massaging the leaf tribe member.
"B..ut won't your sister...eventually...you know...w..want to find ..a ..m..mate...?" He inquired wondering just how that would work. They were very close family and they never intended to leave each other...and that made him rather sad. It would be strange to try and get close with either of them it neither wanted to leave each other.
"Wh..what about you...? D..on't you wan..want to find a mate?"

At the question Jacin couldn't help but to make a bit of a face, looking out over the snowy lands of Zena and gave a bit of a nod of his head, "I am sure that she will find someone eventually, already she has interest in someone even if he is a little out of her league. It just... scares me a little, knowing she will move on and I won't be the one protecting her anymore." He didn't know what he felt about putting her safety in the hands of another person. He supposed he'd have to meet the person, then he'd likely challenge the guy to make sure that he was worthy of her, "I just... don't want to lose anymore family, you know? I suppose if the guy was strong enough I might allow it." Though the idea was still one that he had to admit was grating.
Glancing over at Takoda he couldn't help but to give a laugh, "You and Kei think along a similar line, when we were in Sauti she was trying to figure out my type. I wonder if she is trying to marry me off or something. I'd probably be less under foot that way." He knew he could be a bit overprotective and annoying at times but he just worried for his sister was all, somehow he could see it though, her wanting to set him up with someone so that she could have more free time and, likely, more time to win against him at their treasure collecting game, "As to all of that..." He waved a hand in the air, when Kei asked him he'd gotten a rather odd mental image and it wasn't one that he wanted to share given the one he'd thought of for a split second was the one sitting next to him.
"So what about you? You planning on catching yourself a mate? Maybe someone from one of the other tribes?" He asked, they did have some interesting looks after all, like the golden hair of the Wind Tribe or the blue skin of the Ice Tribe, "What is your type?" Best to turn the question around since he didn't want to answer any of that stuff himself at the moment.

It seemed to be another jolting reminder that Takoda was not the only one who had lost family members, but he wasn't going to prod Jac about who it was that they had lost. Parent? Sibling? It was something he was curious about though but right now he wouldn't ask. His face was actually in semi permanent blushing mode at all the questions and when it came to type his eyes went wide and he looked.....dumbstruck.
"T..type?" He repeated as if he was the echo of a cave, he thought on it...frantically. First of all Takoda never even considered anyone finding him interesting, and thus he had written off having a relationship. Since journeying though he had found all sorts of people showing interest in him as well his own mixed up feelings getting the better of him. Right now for example his brain was...so fuzzy he didn't know how to ...explain.
"Ah...well...I was never taken ser..seriously...back..h..ome..cause..of my ..f..fear you know...so..m..maybe I would be bet..ter finding someone...ah outside of Jahaur...like...uh...T...ale...p..perhaps?" He had quite honestly just picked Tale randomly. But he wasn't sure if he could life in Sauti with its lack of plant life...and Zena with its snow and cold.

"Tale, huh?" That was interesting, that he seemed interested in finding someone from amongst the Leaf Tribe as his mate since nobody in Jauhar seemed to catch his interest. Why was it that such a thing made him happy? Likely because he had noticed the one with the shield that seemed to be around Takoda a lot, as though the Healer had picked himself up his own personal bodyguard or something. He could see it as being useful to Takoda since he had so many fans but at the same time the guy grated on Jacin just a little bit and he didn't know why... even now knowing that he wasn't Takoda's 'type' he felt a little confused, "I see... I was always kinda wondering about you and that guy that seems to follow you about." So did that mean that Takoda was free? He wasn't sure why it excited him... strange.
Not as if he could have Takoda as a mate, right? Or could he? The Healer was a guy after all and there was a lot that they would be missing out on if they were together, not to mention the tribes surely wouldn't be pleased, not only a foreigner but a man as well... but... still, he found himself starring at Takoda, perhaps a bit too long, "Ahh... you know... I'm from Tale." He found himself blurting out, realizing that it was likely one of the dumbest statements ever made but he didn't exactly have the best brain to mouth filter around and the words had escaped his lips before he could even consider calling them back, "Ahhh, I mean, that is... to say..." He trailed off, ears giving a twitch, trying to figure out how to fix what he was babbling about.
