Ever since the battle at the senshi meeting, Lt. Kyanite had been under scrutiny. She was training extra, sparring more, and had even upped her conditioning. There had been enough handholding though. She was ready to tenatively test out her abilities in the field. Lucky for her, a patrol spot had opened up to work with a Dark Mirror senshi. Since they had been the ones who saved her a** at the battle, Kyanite was more than happy to break herself in to the world of battle alongside a DMC senshi.
The two were scheduled to meet up in the abandoned lot north of Crystal Academy. Renna had arrived early and, after a few nervous breaths, slipped into her uniform with a spark of Chaos energy. She twiddled her thumbs, tapping at the crystal communicator in her pocket.
Now she just needed her patrol partner to appear.

Lesath was running a little late, she would be the first to admit it, but it wasn’t her fault, really it wasn’t. Well, it wasn’t her fault if you counted on the fact she wasn’t sure just where the closest mirror was to the scheduled meet-up area, and therefore ended up exiting a mirror that was a good half mile away.
She finally made it though and held out a hand, drawing in a breath. “So sorry I’m late. What a terrible first impression I must have made. I’m Lesath, Dark Mirror Senshi of Moths. It’s lovely to meet you.” The blonde was smiling, and really hoped that her lateness hadn’t done too much to deter any positive relationship that might have come from the nights patrolling.
She figured it was time to start branching out and meeting members of the Negaverse that they were aligned with. She had only spoken to…two of them, or at least two that she remembered. First was the one who was a cat…that was an interesting meeting, and the second had been that Howlite or something, from the large battle. But, they had both seemed nice. So, she was more than willing to help out this new recruit to their cause too.

The nerves rattling in Kyanite's hands kept her from being annoyed at Lesath's tardiness. She was just happy to have someone at her side as they roamed the streets. She wasn't supposed to go out alone anyway, but there were always moments when she was, even if just for a second -- like on her way home from training or something. It was those small windows that made her afraid. She didn't know if she was strong enough to face an Order soldier on her own.
When the blond girl finally made her appearance, Renna smiled and shook her hand. "Wow, your uniform is really pretty," she said, immediately feeling stupid. Telling a fellow soldier how nice they looked didn't seem particularly military. "I'm Kyanite. Just Kyanite. I'm a lieutenant." As if that wasn't painfully obvious already.
It occurred to Kyanite that she might have run into this girl during the battle at the senshi meeting. There had been a number of Dark Mirror senshi who came to her aid. She remembered a few of them, but couldn't recall whether this girl had been one. Well, if she didn't say anything, then she would assume they were equally clueless to each other's identities. A fresh start!
"So," Kyanite said, clapping her hands together, "where do we start?"
This would be the first patrol Kyanite had properly gone on, after all. Should she mention that? Um... maybe later.

Lesath nodded, eyes roaming up Kyanite’s outfit. She had given a compliment, so one was clearly needed to fill the gap. “Thank you very much. Yours is lovely too. Very lovely. I’m kind of a sucker for nice boots.” She grinned, hoping that her return compliment would east the girls nerves.
She really did seem to be scared or something. Maybe she was just really new at this? Or maybe she just…wasn’t sure what to think of the Dark Mirror Court yet. That could be it. They were a special breed, after all…but…
The girl blinked, surprised at the sudden eagerness that Kyanite suddenly showed. She gave a grin. “Well, I figure…we’ll just take a walk. I’ll snag some energy and if any white mooners show up, then we’ll kick their butts. Maybe, if we don't meet any white mooners, we can just have some fun sparing instead.” She grinned and held out a hand, wanting some sort of goofy high five or something. Something to get the party started for real.
This was going to be fun, it really was.
