The sale was a ruse. An elaborate ruse to lure young women, and the occasional man, to come and have their magic snacked upon. She had stone a heart a while back, there was just no reason to be greedy at this point. No, now it was just Emelia wanting to have some fresh magic to 'munch' on as it were. Feed just enough for them to maybe get a bit tired, weak, blame it on a perfume, problem solved they would feel better with some rest and with a less strong fragrance. 'You are probably reacting badly to so many scents at once.' She'd say. Leading them outside she fan them off, offer tea and a savory cake to help them feel better. If the feeling of fatigue lingered 'You will probably be fine in a few hours. If not send me a letter and I'll take care of a doctor should you need one. I do not wish you to have gotten sick from my store after all.' Her plan was flawless in Emelia's mind.
Plus, those she didn't feed on would possibly buy something, giving her a pretty little profit.
Pink painted nails tapped on the table as she thought where to go to try and find her prey. The cafes this time of day would be less crowded. It was just after morning tea, too soon for afternoon tea. A better place would be the town square, but, rumors had been going around in majin circles that some idiot witch eater was eating hearts left and right. The fool was either craving far too fast, or they were wanting to die, taking many other with them. To Emelia, it meant she would have to be more careful. A single black heart was all it took to unravel her carefully laid plans. Caution would be needed. Going to her vanity, the majin began to primp, caking on making up just enough to mask a few defining features. Finally giving herself a slight hair color change with a quick magical dye job, the majin was ready to see if she couldn't feed.
It was a short walk from her corner shop to the town square, heals clicking on the road with each step. Flyers in hand, the woman casually began to hand them out to a few ladies, setting some on tables and benches. Passive advertising. Besides, maybe they might not come that day, but her plan could come to pass anytime a possible 'customer' came into her shop. Pink eyes looked for a possible girl or woman to try and lure, pink turn purple hair tossed as she spotted one possible victim in the sitance. Casually walking up to her, Emelia put on her best smile, offing a flyer. "Good morning miss, can I interest you in perfume? Flowers? Or maybe a nice new set of shoes? My shop is having a sale a bit later today and you look like you could do for some pampering."

Pampering? Cedar blinked as she reached for the flyer with her good arm. She felt like she should be offended... But she knew it wasn't anything personal. She had been healing quite well thanks to Eir and even her new Druids friends... If you can call them friends. But she kept her arm bandaged and the scars on her collar bone seemed to be a little more faded but she was able to hide them easier.
She looked down at the flyer and pondered over it. Sales were good and she didn't need new shoes but.. Perfume, something natural. Emrys might something like that. She frowned deep in thought drifting into something that she didn't need to think about right now.
Suddenly becoming aware of the other woman watching her she smiled with a small blush on her cheek. "Sorry about that. Where is your shop located? I'd be interested in seeing what you have." The other female looked normal enough. Cedar was use to seeing all kinds of girls. Actually she was a little envious of the others colors they made her stand out. Although she felt like she would remember seeing someone like her...

To Emelia, even when she wasn't trying to lure in prey, everyone deserved to be pampered. Even prey, if just for a bit. Make them drop their defenses just a little bit more- it was just how she operated. Bandages and scars didn't bother Emelia, looking at the woman with a smile. She was after magic, not looks. Pink eyes lit up as the woman responded. "Oh don't apologize dearie. I tend to get lost in thought at times. Happens to the best of us you know." She waved it off, noticing a passing man, shoving a flyer in his hands. Never knew. He might want something for his lady. Or what shoes for himself. Wouldn't be the first time she'd seen a man do such things.
"My shop is just down the road a bit, I can show you if you like. Perhaps on the way you can tell me what you're looking for. I have quite the selection, some rather rare scents and designers. I get them from across the kingdom and beyond. You'd be amazed with how many things there are on the market we don't se- Oh pardon I'm rambling. Shall I show you the way?"

Cedar looked over at the girl and gave a big smile. She was a very good sales person. If she worked on commission she'd probably be rich. Cedar tapped her finger against the paper as she raised her arm to allow the woman to started leading. "After you." Cedar was inwardly cringing, she knew with this woman she might end up spending all the money on her wallet... She really wasn't to sure about all these 'feelings'. Why must being a girl be so hard? She felt that she needed to do things specifically to get his attention.
And which He was it anyways? Emry's had been creeping up on her mind more and more. Lea... She wasn't even sure where she stood in his eyes. Maybe changing something, her hair or perfume could be the trick right? She never got a talk about these things and it was never an issue until she moved back to Makai. She had to get her mind of this stuff! She'd get an upset stomach if she wasn't careful. She wasn't going to do something for a boy. She would so this for herself. She worked hard every day.
"Well I was curious about your perfumes. And I wouldn't mind hearing about if you have any hair products." Cedar walked with the woman when she started toward her store. If the woman was feeding on her Cedar wouldn't have noticed all that easily because she was knowingly friends with some other Majin. And so the thought never crossed her mind as they reached the shop.
"Are you new in town? I don't think I've seen this shop before." It was possible that Cedar had just never noticed it because she was often to busy to take time for herself.

"Perfumes, the lure of scents to attract. For better or worse. The right scent will either have men flicking or fleeing. The art is finding what appeals to you, because a man needs to enjoy what you enjoy you know? Or woman." another wave of her hand. It was all relative, the end result was the same, people were drawn in. That was the power of perfume.
Heels clicked on the stone as their walk took them around a corner. "As for hair, I have products and accessories. Home dyes are rather in this year, and many have been infusing their colors with magic to keep the color longer. I'm not quite sure how it works, but, those who'd used them have sworn the color remains even more vibrant than untreated with magic." A finger to her chin. "Your hair is already such a lovely color, for you, a nice bow or clip, maybe a hair curler."
Opening the door to the shop she motioned for Cedar to join her, changing the store sign from closed to open. Didn't want to raise suspicions after all. Racks of hair care products, shoes, perfumes, jewelry lined the walls and shelves. Behind a large desk was a station for making some of the perfumes, dried flowers and fresh strewn across the work place.
"Feel free to look around. Ask if you need anything." Soon enough, she'd have her meal. All Emelia had to do was wait a bit longer.

Cedar was in awe of all the information. She had never really paid much attention and it wasn't like her mother was available for teaching her to be 'girly'. Not that Cedar needed such things... Or well she'd like to think she was naturally pretty to some extend. But regardless the shop was a bit overwhelming for her.
She glanced over at the other female as she made her last statement and she went to browse the shelves. There were things on them that she never even imagined let alone think people would even -use-.
She knew doing something drastic wouldn't be something likeable. She didn't want to change who she was, just spice it up maybe? She pondered curling her hair a bit more, maybe she could use some earthy toned make up...
But for some reason she kept going back to perfume. It wasn't something visible to change about herself. And something subtle that lingers and leaves an impression. She glanced around and then slowly made her way to the counter.
"I think.. I want to go over the perfumes.. Something light. You know?"

While Emelia was busy trying to bring in a witch to feed on, Moraine was busy trying to find the source of the rumored witch eater in the area. A bit difficult, no leads aside from rumors of a beautiful woman who was seducing men with her scent and then feeding on them, but, curiously, the witch eater would leave them alive. They didn’t recall her face, but apparently the witch eater existed. And that was enough to warrant an execution in Moraine’s book. She was busy walking up and down the streets, looking for the rumored witch eater. Well, she sighed to herself, two. A second witch eater rumored to be lurking about, but, no one knew where, and they were apparently keeping rather low key. A tricky one, living as human, just treading that line of passing human. But like all others she’d trip up. It was just a matter of time. But for the one lead- a perfumery was a good place as any to start. Emelia smiled, pink hair tossed back, bow tilting just slightly. “Ah yes, Light. Well, I have various fall scents, along with some more tropical ones left over from summer, winter blooms are still a bit off, but- I have fall spice, a mix of cinnamon and vanilla with hints of pumpkin, It’s sweet but very seasonal, come winter it doesn’t seem to ‘fit’ you know? The softer less season ones- vanilla is common, as is jasmine, rose is always favored year round, meadow is a very, very lightly hinted scent based off of wild flowers. Oddly none of the flowers are found in a meadow.” She shrugged. People liked their odd names for things. “Why don’t you sit down as I bring out a few, unless you have a few you’d like to try. “ Fingers went to the witch’s shoulder, and Emelia grinned. “I also have this scent, a favorite of mine, peach and plum-“ She held up the vial. A fruity scent, her calling card it was far too strong so close however in the bottle.

The world of perfume was intricate. Cedar was a bit baffled in the end, but the names were intriguing on their own. But she seemed to like the fall scent's. After all the fall was her favorite... So her interested was perked but then she mentioned the peach and plum. Cedar hadn't ever smelt those together...
"I wouldn't mind trying it. I haven't heard or smelt that scent before." She smiled at her. The woman putting her hand on her shoulder didn't bother her at all. Cedar was generally a nice easy going person and liked to take direction from other people in areas that she wasn't familiar with. However the scent probably wasn't for her, seeing what the woman prompted and how would help her figure whether any of the other scents were truly her. Essentially it was reading a person.
It never even crossed Cedar's mind that this person was dangerous. She seemed like a very good saleswoman though. If only Cedar could get her to come and prompt her own shop.
