No. Not again. Vacation time had been compromised.
Her weapon seem amused at the fact that she was so worked up, but she was not. In fact, the hunter was more than just 'upset' about the fact that she could not use her vacation leave; she had been looking forward to it ever since that near-death experience she had, with staff-Merlin going out of control, and everyone turning into crystal statues... Ugh.
As much as she did not mind dying - and she really thought that she was going to die that time, not that it really bothered her too much - the fact that she couldn't even celebrate the fact that her death was a false alarm frustrated her. It made her want to hit something. Thankfully, she decided to redirect her anger towards something a little more productive - fixing up the main HQ so that she would be able to go on her well-deserved vacation.

It was really unfortunate to say how much the monster creatures managed to rip up Hazel's new home. Not that she minds doing some of the heavy work, but it was just the fact that she didn't get a chance to experience 'the real hunter life' before it was destroyed right in front of her. She was thinking about going to the labs first, but Head Quarters seemed far more important. "Hello? Anyone need help cleaning in here?" Hazel wasn't much for cleaning up, let alone cleaning herself up. Maybe if no one said they needed help fixing up the place, she could just go back to the cafeteria and eat more. She brushed her hair through with her finger tips, then somehow stopped midway before the carrot-colored frizz got tangled in her hands, "s**t." < Would it hurt to brush your hair every once in a while? > Sabin sighed. "Shut up, I don't need it." ripping out a few strands of hair when her hand was free and then casually brushed them off before it landed on the floor.

Bingo.
Ariane was always up for taking advantage up the offer of help from others, especially if they were willing parties to begin with. It saves her the trouble of actually having to convince them to help, especially since renovation... Was not a very glamorous job. In fact, from her experiences, it was often tough, tiring, and not very pleasant.
Besides, there was that... Information about there being some sort of monster lurking around the place. They could be attacked at any moment.
"An extra pair of hands would be awesome," She grinned, turning around to look at the girl with... Wow, is that a broom on her head? Maybe a science experiment gone wrong? Or did she get caught in some kind of a hurricane on the way here? All of those options seemed viable... And yes, Ariane was staring. However, she did not seem to care if she got caught staring or not. Instead, the Death intermediate trainee waved her over, extending out a hand for her to shake.
"The name's Ariane. Never seen you around before-" She eyed her coat, and the simplistic design of it, "-you new?"

Hazel took notice at the Death hunter's perpetual gawking and mimicked her as she reached out a hand. "Jaeger. Hazel. Hazel Jaeger, Moonie," finally responding and returning the handshake. "I guess you could say I am new." considering she was put back into the pods again when they realized she wasn't ready to wake up. Before the wreckage, Hazel had woken up for the second time. "What do you need help with?" She took her hand back and held if over her eyes, peering around the area, hair flying back and forth as she dramatically turned her body, "Looks like you got things under control, right? Right! You don't need me here, really, do you? Nop--" her tummy growled ferociously, "... Hey, but, you don't happen to have anything to eat do you?" Hazel patted her bulging pockets that was obviously filled with who-knows-what. "I'm fresh out of snacks." then actually reaching into her hair, double checking like it was a hidden stash, "Nope."

"Hazel, nice to meet you," Ariane replied, giving the hand a firm shake. At the question, she shrugged, letting go of the trainee's hand, "To be honest? No idea. I was just thinking of cleaning it up or something... Ugh, I really want this place to be fully operational again." She then kicked a nearby wall, which probably did not help.
"Nope, sorry to disappoint~" She laughed, shaking her head; snacking was never a habit of hers; she would rather take just her regular meals. When Hazel started to actually reach into her hair, Ariane burst into laughter, clutching her stomach as she bent forward. She tried to speak, but ended up lapsing into laughter again; it took her a minute to finally stop, wiping a single tear from her eye with a finger, "You're a kangeroo with a pouch on your head."

Was she laughing at her? Hazel gave a puzzled look, "Hm? Kangaroo pouch?" she felt around in her hair again, "I would say an intracately woven bird nest is more exact." Hazel chucked with Ariane, "But hey, you'd be surprised how many things my hair could hold when my bags are full!" A moment passed while she looked at the death hunter again for directions, "what did you say you wanted me to do, again?"

"Sounds like a Victorian wig, but more hygienic... Unless you have bugs in your hair too. In that case, you might want to wash it thoroughly," Ariane might had made a face; she wasn't afraid of bugs like some girls are, but that didn't mean that she liked them. In fact, her first reaction upon seeing one would be to squish it dead.
"Do some repair work with me," She grinned, "At the HQ. Maybe we can fill in some of the holes made to the wall. I think I saw some cement and bricks~"

"I might have a jar or two of dead bugs, it that counts... Well, actually they start out live but now they are dead." hazel gave a thoughtful look into the distance. She gave the senior a salute and danced her way over to the cement as she sang It's the Final Count Down song. And began slapping on some cement with one of those triangular pointy thingies. It was kind of a sloppy job. Apparently dancing and patching walls wasn't an awesome idea. At least, Hazel was having fun! "pass me a brick, bra!" holding out a hand and continually dancing.

Ariane snorted, and then laughed. Really hard.
"Better them bugs than me," She grinned, moving over to the half-completed wall, although she was not as... Animated as Hazel was. In fact, she just walked over like a normal human being would, settling for standing beside the girl, watching her progress instead of helping out.
In her defense, there was only one cement-scoop thing.
"Here you go, bro," She picked up a brick from a nearby pile, and handed it over. Apparently Ariane had the magic touch, because despite Hazel's not-so-professional job? That brick worked wonders for the HQ's walls, fortifying it.

Hazel was just slapping that cement on like no one's business. In fact, she was literally slapping the cement. Almost like she was spanking it down.
"That outta do it!" giving a proud look at the half-assed fixed up wall. "Now a but of toothpaste to cover up the red spots, and it'll be done!" Toothpaste makes great plaster for holes.
Hazel was just about to fish into one of her pouches to look for toothpaste but then realized she had cement quickly drying on her hands, "Uh oh." It was beginning to harden, and fast.
"ARIANE! HOW DO I GET THIS OFF?!" she waved her rock-like mits at the death hunter and flailing like an idiot.

"FIRST," It would appear that Hazel's loud voice had caused Ariane's voice to rise in volume as well, as she took a step back from the flailing woman, "IT WOULD HELP IF YOU DO NOT WAVE IT... AT MY FACE."
Once she was away from the hands of cementy death, Ariane picked up the trowel - also known as the cement-scoop thing - and then looked at Hazel, "I need you to hold out your hands. And stop moving. Preferably stop moving, and then hold out your hands."

She wasn't necessarily scared, but her eyes widened with excitement. Hazel began to laugh as she tried to calm herself down, "I can't move my fingers! This is so weeeeeeeeeird!"
She held out her hands for Ariane to handle. The cement was so caked on, what appeared to be her fingers were merged together, almost like a two handed rocky boxing gloves, "Do you think I could bash monsters over the head with these? Probably could do some major damage right?" At first, Hazel began to imagine herself as a giant brute causing mayhem during the future missions with giant fists of rock, but then she also imagined trying to live her daily life with these hands. "Mmmmm then again, I'd do major damage to my room and everything I touch..." The next image in her head was just smashing her jar collection like the Hulk. That would be no good.
A bit disappointed, she decided to stay there quietly until Ariane could chip them off.

"Good, now stay there and don't move. Unless you like getting hurt, then be my guest, I guess," Ariane shrugged, scrapping off what she could of the wet cement; however, parts of it had already begun to dry up, and that required a bit of rough handling on her part. At first, she listened to what Hazel had to say, mostly because the girl's ramblings amused her. However, somewhere along the way, the Death division intermediate trainee had stopped listening.
"No." She really was answering the first question.
"No." Default answer to second question.
"N- Yes." Answer to comment about damaging her room, "Alright. This should do it. We'll just have to wash the rest off with water and soap... And a lot of scrubbing." She tossed the trowel, its sides coated with drying cement, on the floor, near the pile of bricks.

"Awwww" Hazel pouted at Ariane's answers, "I thought it would be kinda cool..." she mumbled.
She nodded at cleaning her hands off. Well, at least it didn't require her to clean her hair! Hazel hated getting her hair wet. She dreaded taking showers every three days. She would probably avoid showering for weeks if the other hunters didn't force her to.
"Just my hands right?" Hazel asked almost wincing at her for her answer.
Just then her tummy growled louder than a beast, Hazel grabbed onto her stomach in hopes of settling it down. "I'm gonna go get some food. I'm starving. I could eat an elephant!" That might have been an exaggeration, but to Hazel, she really believed it. "See you around?" waving casually to her new buddy.

"No." To being kinda cool.
"N- Ugh, yes," At washing just her hands, "Although washing other parts of your body would be nice as well. You know. Personal hygiene and all that." Before that hair of hers swallows up a hunter or something.
"Go on," She nodded, waving her off; speaking to Hazel made her want to go back to her room and just... Nap for a while; yes, that sounded like a good plan of action, "See you around." And then she waited till Hazel was out of sight before heading back to the dorms.
