It was hot, too hot, he felt slick with sweat under his uniform and really didn't want to move. It felt like it would just take too much energy to move, more energy than he had. The only energy he'd expanded was the energy it took to teleport to this roof top and the energy it took to get the iced drink he had. Benitoite had been jumping down into an alley, powering down, going into a cafe several blocks away for an iced drink and then would walk back to the alley and power back up and take to the roof top again.

Already four drinks into the night, and well into feeding a caffeine habit, the blond haired general was miserable with this heat. This was why he hated summer, even more so when dressed as he was. For a moment he considered stripping down everything but his shirt, pants, and boots but he really didn't want to deal with the mass of discarded fabric in case anything happened such as some knight or senshi were to happen upon him. Though he didn't think many would be stupid enough to confront the general, even if he was alone. At least not the ones he'd sensed far off, none seemed to be over a squire or super senshi level.

Sipping from the cold mocha, cheery flavored, he sighed and racked his fingers through his hair. hen he got home he was taking a cold bath, forget a shower he needed a bath.

The moment that Sailor Tsui powered up and took to the streets, she had a feeling in her gut that something exciting would happen this evening, though that could have easily have been her own anxious nature getting the better of her. Ever since the ambush and as soon as she had physically recovered from the attacks, Tsui had taken to her patrols more often and had become more diligent, though that could have been contributed to some borderline paranoia. Now that she felt that she had seen the dark side, the true side of the Negaverse and their allies, she didn't shirk away from a dark aura when she felt it like she would have a few weeks prior. Now? She'd try to pinpoint it and would stalk it, not with the intent to kill, but prevent any harm coming across civilians, or her fellow White Moon court members.

So, when she felt a dark aura, a strong and potent, and almost familiar one, Tsui could not help but feel raw anger flushed through her, and it took her a few moments to calm herself enough to where her fists weren't shaking. She could have easily have been mistaking the identity of the aura; after all, she was only a level one Senshi, so it was just as likely to have belonged to another strong Negaverse general. After all, there were quite a few that she had seen during the ambush... surely it couldn't be him.

This didn't stop her from actively seeking out the aura, knowing full well that whoever it was that they could feel her approaching, but that didn't slow her down. Whether it was him or not didn't matter to her; the fact that there was a Negaverse general lurking around the streets was enough of a call to action. Tsui couldn't play the role of the neutral, no matter who the enemy was or how strong, more experienced he or she may be. Rank meant little to her, for better or for worse.

So, she wasn't too surprised to find herself in a familiar alley way, and a glance up towards the rooftops revealed to her the one Negaverse general that she had both longed to see, and dreaded to see. And, given the fact that she knew her cover was blown anyway, she brought both hands around her mouth to act as a makeshift intercom, and she said the one thing that she suspected would get him hopping mad. "Hey BENI! Did you miss me?!"

He'd felt a few auras tonight so a new one popping up didn't garner much attention, not once he felt it was weaker than his own. Sipping his drink with his legs dangling from the roof top he tipped his head back. It was a hot and miserable night and yet the stars could be seen tonight, at least a few were visible.

What he didn't expect was that new aura to get closer and closer, maybe they were passing him by. He didn't hope for it, he didn't have anything to worry himself about. No, no the aura was right here. They weren't passing but calling him, literally they were calling him.

Hearing his name called, or at least part of his name, he glanced down, cup of iced mocha in his hand, he nodded once. Blond hair limp, from the heat, hanging about his face. "Evening little tiger. Enjoying the evening?" He questioned. Maybe someone would think him bipolar but really if he didn't have to fight, if there was no reason to do so, he wasn't going to jump right in and attack someone. He'd talk, and talk all evening if someone sought such a thing, but if wrong words were said or some action against him or a youma, was taken he was more than willing to fight. Tonight it was the fact he was too hot to fight, especially in his uniform, but also the senshi hadn't attacked him or anything.

It wasn't the reaction she was looking for, but somehow, that cool voice of his was almost enough to make Tsui forget her anger towards him. Almost. That was the same voice and cool mannerisms that fed her nothing but lies many weeks ago, and it was that same, suave looking 'gentleman' that had mercilessly killed members of her court and devoured their starseeds before her very eyes. Oh yes, as handsome and silver-tongued as Benitoite was, Tsui was not going to fall for any of his charm again.

That night at the ambush, Tsui had openly attached him twice, but she held back for now. It wasn't out of fear for her life, and certainly not out of any fear from the general. No, she didn't fear him. She may have hated him, was disgusted with him, maybe even had been attracted to him at one point, but afraid of him? Impossible.

Only children feared monsters. And Tsui, now sixteen, was no child.

"I was having a great evening, though looks like the same can't be said for you." Tsui called back, making her way towards the rooftop. Even from this distance, she could see the sweat reflecting from his face or how it ruined his hair, and in truth, it brought her such joy to see him looking rather miserable. "You look terrible, Beni. Hair's all a mess, clothes soaked with sweat... I hope you put on some heavy duty deodorant, otherwise you're likely to smell like a mixture of body odor, rotten fish and dog musk!"

She made a face as though she was trying to imagine such a stench, and without further prompt, she was able to vault herself from the closed dumpster and onto the fire escape ladder to join him on the rooftop. She kept her distance and though she clenched her fists, she didn't approach him to fight. Oh, she wanted to just walk up and punch him, but she had promised Pasiphae and Kallichore that she'd behave, and so long as he kept that spear of his at his side and didn't start rambling on with a topic she was uncomfortable with, she was merely there to talk.

"But given how much you probably preen, that shouldn't be a problem for you, oh General. Knowing you, you probably cake yourself in it, all to hide the scent of death that you carry around with you."

No, Tsui was not going to let that go... to allow herself to forget those deaths would be dishonoring the fallen, and Tsui wasn't going to allow that to happen. And while she was certain that Benitoite would not care, she wasn't going to let him forget it either.

"What a pleasant combination. I take it you know what a lovely odor sweat is by sniffing people?" He questioned with a single raised brow, all the while the straw of his still slightly frozen drink was brought to his lips. His weapon was no where in sight, not tonight, he really was too hot to go looking for a fight. And anyway he never had a problem when talking. He attacked when he had a reason to, and right now there was no such reason.

He really didn't want to think about the possibility of smelling from the heat and his uniform, and for a moment he had to fight the urge to sniff at himself to see if he did in fact smell. The urge passed though and he kept his attention on the senshi as she joined him on the roof top.

"How quaint and unimaginative - the scent of death. I assure you I smell no different than any other person. I have no unique nor special smell, much less one attached to death."
PostPosted: Sun Aug 12, 2012 1:44 am

Oh yes, Benitoite was a hard fellow to insult, as Tsui was beginning to figure out, but she didnt know when to quit. "Oh, I don't go around sniffing people, but when they smell SO bad, then it's impossible to not take in their stench."

And she wasn't quite done, figuring that she may never get a chance to take a few verbal jabs at a general again and taking full advantage of that weapon not being on him.

"Well, I suppose you murdered so many senshi or pages that the smell must come natural to you by now." Tsui said with a sneer, keeping her distance and gagging, letting him know how she felt about his 'stench'. "It's sort of like keeping a cat around; after the first two weeks, the smell of urine and cat puke sort of just stick in your nose, even when others around you are gagging and hiding the urge to puke."

She figured that speaking of such moralities to an obvious liar and possible sociopath was pointless; it'd be like telling a serial killer to feel sorry for the victims he mercilessly slaughters. An ultimate and futile effort that would only serve in getting herself all worked up.

"So, what brings the oh great general of war out this lovely evening? Looking for more level one Senshi or pages to mercilessly slaughter, or are you just looking to spread more lies instead?" Tsui asked. "Which, by the way, you know, I was willing to play along with your little game of peace. I was even willing to find a way off this planet and go back to my home..."

The very thought of leaving Earth now, however? Gone from her mind, and it was all because of him, and people like him. "But, not anymore. Now that I know the truth about you, I think I'll be staying for awhile now. Maybe even help this supposed 'evil Moon Queen' that you guys fear so much in removing you, the DMC and your little youma pets once and for all."

She allowed for her anger to be heard now. She was sincere about her possible neutrality, but he was not, and she would not let him forget it.

"And you remember it, you must be around many people who have such a stench. I pity you for that." He spoke, smile in place and just a bit too sweet. Insulting him wasn't something which got him ruffled, at least not most insults. There were some of course which would ruffle him, everyone had certain words and insults that would get them going.

"A cat owner, or you know one?" He questioned standing slowly and giving his drink a little swirl in it's plastic container. Finishing the contents with the next pull from the straw, he'd be needing another soon enough.

"That aside I assure you I have not killed any knights. Most are too weak and pathetic. Others are simply annoying and yet entertaining enough I wouldn't mind beating them, often. As for senshi my count is at four, nothing significant I assure you." His count could have been higher, he knew this. "In war I would think four would be a low count, and this is indeed war so deaths will occur. Has it yet to occur to you that you may in fact have to kill as well? Or has such a thing escaped you? What will you do if you must kill? What will you do once you have killed? I assure you I am human and." And thus he had reacted as any human would, but this he did not say. He would not speak of such things to a senshi, would not show that past weakness.

"Lies? Tell me, what did I lie about? The story I spoke is the past as I have been told. It is my wish and hope for this war the end but no war simply ends nor ends peacefully. A war even ended in peace treaties only comes to such an end because of a large battle and a lot of bloodshed." He may wish for this war's end but until then he would fight and he would kill. He would not fail in his duties and he would keep others on his side safe. "I am out to patrol, as I was the last time we crossed paths." A shrug of his shoulders, a simple action that seemed almost lazy in manner.
PostPosted: Sun Aug 12, 2012 3:14 pm

"You lied any everything. The origin of the Moon Queen, her intentions, how all of the White Moon Court wanted to find her and put her back into power. You lied, and you know it. You can lie to me, but you can't lie to yourself!"

That had done it. That's what caused Tsui to raise her voice, but she managed to calm herself down. When she spoke again, her voice was a low growl. "Unless you count youma as people, then I've killed no one. You said it yourself that youma are nothing more than animals, unless you've decided to completely lie about that as well." She cracked her knuckles, a non-threatening gesture but making it loud enough for him to know that she was still willing to throw a few punches. She wasn't afraid of Benitoite, nor the Negaverse. "Oh, I wanted to kill a few of your lieutenants, but I'm better then that. Sure, it took me punching Valhalla for me to realize that, but I don't need to kill to win a war."

Tsui was certain that she hadn't taken any lives, any human lives, and so she immediately brushed the thought away to the back of her mind. Perhaps other members of the White Moon Court had, but she, personally? Dusting animals whose only purpose in life is to hunt down and harm civilians, even for the 'greater good' was merely hunting a dangerous predator, or prey, not to be compared to killing something sentient.

"A war that I was willing to walk away from, until you and your impatient, murdering friends decided to crash what was a harmless little meeting." Tsui pointed out, circling around the general but not getting any closer. "What did you gain out of that, anyway? Besides showing to those wanting peace that it's now impossible, and now, even more death from both sides will occur. For someone who cares so deeply about his fellow lieutenants and pets, you sure didn't think of the long term effects of your little ambush, did you?"

In truth, Tsui had no idea what authority Benitoite alone had. He could have easily have just been following orders, like a good soldier, but she had seen the pleasure in his eyes, the grin on his face when he killed those senshi, and Tsui wasn't fooled by a pretty face. Benioite and Remarque may have both been blessed with good looks and charm, but once the mask was exposed, not even the loneliest of women would have flocked to such monsters. "We talked about the White Moon Queen, and from what I've heard, she's nothing like the monster you and your own leaders claim her to be. But, of course, like any nutjob conspiracy theorist, you won't believe me, will you?"

"Lie to myself? How did I do that? She is the Moon Queen, obviously she is from the Moon. As for the White Moon Court wanting to find her, there are members who do. I do not believe I said all White Moon senshi wished to find her and restore her to power. But there are members who do." Shaking his head he wondered why he bothered with speaking to some senshi.

"I did not say they were animals. I said they were once people." He snapped, jumping to the defense of the youma. He would never call a youma an animal, they were always and would always be former people. Watching her crack her knuckles he lifted a blond brow and tilted his head. Was she really trying to threaten him? He felt a smile forming on his lips and tilted his head even. How utterly amusing.

"You wanted to kill a few of them...I'd like to see how you'd handle killing a single person. It isn't easy, you are human, just the same as me." And it had not been easy on him either.

"Harmless, really? I would like to know everything said and then I will determine if it was harmless. As I'm sure it dealt with those of us who crashed it. Perhaps you should think of what is harmless from our point of view and you'll find that it wasn't so harmless, as I doubt it was. Enough senshi and knights have less than positive opinions and plans for us, I'm sure." He spoke as he was sure the odds would be in his favor and the meeting was not completely harmless.

"Mmm, and all you did was speak of her? A person that none in that room had met...that's like asking a person, a teenager, to tell you about Queen Elizabeth the First, during her golden age. Ask them to tell you who she was in private - impossible." He spoke one hand lashing out through the air to punctuate his words. It was a vicious gesture used to put an end to that talk.

"I do care for those who serve the Negaverse, and our allies, I'd suggest not questioning that." His own voice had changed, it wasn't so calm. His anger showered in a low snapping tone. He had called for Bazzite many times during the battle and kept his eyes on him as often as he could. He had gone to help Remarque as well. Long term with the ambush...he knew there was a purpose for it, something long term. What though he didn't know. It wasn't his place to question, no matter how much he wanted to know.
PostPosted: Sun Aug 12, 2012 6:50 pm

Tsui had wanted to go into detail about how harmless the meeting truly was, how much bickering and arguing there was, how many had stormed out due to either complete disinterest, or after a temper tantrum. In truth, the White Moon Court was a mess, but Tsui knew that she couldn't admit this to the enemy. Especially not to General Benitoite, even when she suspected that he had an idea of the disorganization within the White Moon Court. How much he knew beyond the ambush, though, was beyond Tsui, and so, she dropped the subject if only for the sake of not betraying her own court. She didn't agree with the lot of them, but she wouldn't be a turncoat either.

Realizing that she would get no where trying to carry on this name calling game, and losing at it miserably even when he seemed to finally get an edge to his voice, Tsui had taken a seat on the edge of the rooftop as well, though she didn't allow her feet to dangle. She sat cross legged, not very lady like but comfortable to her, and a quick way of jumping to her feet when the occasion arose. "Look, I'll give you this. You guys may be liars, murders, dogs of war against the White Moon, but you got teamwork figured out. I'll give you that."

She couldn't deny this truth; the moments where she observed and didn't fight during the ambush were brief, but she had seen unity, a strategy that everyone followed, even the youma if one believed that they were truly capable of thought, but then again, wolves and lions were nothing more than animals but had managed to hunt as a single unit so that wasn't saying much about the youma, Tsui thought with a lopsided grin. "So, maybe I heard you wrong in your explanation of the youma. That's possible. But, you know, they were human once. Once. Not anymore, right? Maybe someday in the future they will be, assuming they stop attacking innocent civilians long enough to not get dusted, but what is your version of what causes them? Where do you think they come from?"

She vaguely remembered his version of the story, of the great attack that the supposed 'Evil' Moon Queen caused that turned them into youma, but to believe his side of the story now would have just been foolish. She had no proof that she was right, and even if she did by some miracle, she was certain that he wouldn't believe her. Just like she wouldn't believe him. In the end, it was useless. "Maybe those people turned into youma because they had too much chaos, or evil in their hearts? And if you keep killing Senshi and eating their Starseeds, what makes you think you're immune to that fate should the "evil" Moon Queen try it again?"

"Of course we do, we follow those who rank above us." He stated with something of a casual and lazy shrug. It wasn't an unknown fact about the Negaverse, they followed those above them, so he saw no reason in not stating the fact. It was obvious anyway, once someone saw how they worked together, even to someone who hadn't previously been told this fact. It also said he had been under orders to be involved in the attack, not that he didn't want to be involved - he had he just wasn't going to say that though. Let her conclude what she wished.

"They are not animals, it is an insult to regard them as such. They are capable of thought and not to be treated as mindless. As for them being human again it is not possible. They are the result of a starseed overloaded with energy...a starseed can only handle so much energy...then it shatters. That is the case with them. The Moon Queen caused it." Hadn't he already been over this with her once? He couldn't remember every word he'd spoken but he assumed he'd told her such, if not than she was hearing it now.

"Evil and chaos in their hearts. Again you insult their honor and show a sever lack of respect to them. They fought for their freedom, and that of the other people on Earth at the time, what was evil or chaotic about that?" He questioned. Standing there his arms crossed over his chest and with her seated he was able to stare her down. One foot tapped lightly at the cement roof top as he kept his eyes locked onto the senshi of tigers.
PostPosted: Sun Aug 12, 2012 10:41 pm

"So, when I see a youma attacking a harmless civilian, you want me to just not do anything? Feel sorry for a creature that's ripping apart a human that has no idea to defend itself?" Tsui asked, her question genuine and also a bit rhetorical. She had seen youma singling out individuals, individuals that would have died had she or another Senshi not have intervened, and Tsui refused, absolutely refused to feel a moment of regret for those 'poor, Starseed overloaded' youma. "Good luck with that, Beni. I see a youma, I see a human nearby, I'm going to defend the human. Every single time."

It seemed like such a sad story, assuming it to be true, but even then, Tsui was not to be swayed from her path so easily. Not after she saw that youma rip that page apart before her. The feeling of helplessness almost consumed her again, but she held it back, instead choosing to focus on anger instead. Self pity would get her no where; anger wouldn't get her to where she wanted to be, but it would at least move her forward.

"Those youma, as I see it, had their chance. And they blew it. Sure, if what you say is true and it was the 'overloaded' starseeds that caused it, then that sucks, but the past is the past." Tsui asked with a shrug. It was the truth. She may have wanted to see her home constellation, but Tsui had absolutely no thought or care for the past. It simply didn't interest her and it seemed to only cause trouble now; people refusing to let go of a past event that may or may not have occurred as they were told is what was causing this war right now, wasn't it? It was just too heavy, too trivial. Not to mention hypocritical, but Tsui figured that being upset over the ambush was fair. It was only a few weeks ago. The whole war? Who knew! "Why should I feel pity for something that's no longer human, from a past action that I have absolutely no interest in?"

She turned to look at him, not afraid to bring up her next question. "And why do you even care? You obviously felt that those Senshi you killed weren't worth sparing, but the lives of youma are?"

He didn't address most of what she said, it would be talking in circles. He would not change her mind nor would she change his. And yes youma attacked humans and drained energy, he had never seen one kill a person. And while he didn't like that they attacked people, being completely honest with himself, but he had no problem in them gathering energy from people. The people were to be protected, the problem was that in order to do so energy was needed.

"And then I hope you are aware that should I see you killing a youma I will step in and properly defend it. I will not see one killed when I can stop it." And he easily could, especially against this senshi. Alexandre knew he would never stop caring for the youma and wanting to protect them, keep them from harm and death. He had respect for them and the sad tale of how they'd come to be had touched him when he'd first heard it. How could it not touch someone?

"had their chance, explain this to me? A chance to, or at, what?" He asked before shaking his head. "The past should be the past but yet it is not. Not when this war is going on and stems right from the past war. The past is alive and well, it looms in the background of every move we each and all make. It is the reason for every move we all make."

Sighing he looked at his empty drink, already wishing for more. The caffeine would have him up all night, he knew it, but he really needed it right about now. But he couldn't take a break and powerdown and go get himself another frozen espresso. "You should not pity them but respect them. They gave up their humanity for everyone, for a belief, for justice, for freedom. I care because of their actions, what they sacrificed. The senshi who I've killed fight this war when they could stay out of it. They could keep themselves out of this war but choose not to." Never mind the fact he could have chosen not to join this war. He had decided to join in order to fight for his freedom, rather than someone else fight for his freedom.
PostPosted: Sun Aug 12, 2012 11:31 pm

And now, Tsui could not help but allow a smile to be seen, one that would have been more fitting for a comic book villain than any hero, but as far as Benitoite and the Negaverse saw it, she -was- the villain. She was a reincarnation of some evil worshiper of an 'evil' Moon Queen, and young as she may be, sure knew that he was set on his ways. He would never believe her to be worth 'saving', therefor, what did she care what Benitoite thought of her?

So, her grinned deepened, and she immediately rose and dusted off her dress, being sure to allow some of it to fall in his general direction. He seemed like the type to preen, anyway. "So, you care for this lieutenant called Bazzite, and you have a spot in your heart for the poor, helpless little youma. Nice to see that there's some room for compassion in there; hard to see it that way after watching you rip the starseeds out of those Senshi."

Once all the dust was settled, she stepped on the parapet and looked around, putting out her feelers for anymore dark energy, perhaps a youma or two, since she knew she was capable of killing them by herself now. No, she didn't believe his story for a second, but for now, she played along. Just to gauge his reaction. "As for the part where they had their chance and blew it... they had their chance to fight for freedom, and they blew it, simple as that. That's sort of like how some of us were discussing peace with the Negaverse, before you and your lackies rudely interrupted."

And again with the past. Tsui didn't care, and she let him know. "It's because of people who can't let go of the past that we have stupid wars like this in the first place. It's because of failed attempts of the former 'freedom fighters' that people like me have to take up arms and fight remnants of a past that should just remain there. To think, we could be using our powers and skills for world peace and here we are, standing on a rooftop above a coffee shop, talking in circles instead."

Her senses could feel the faint aura from a distance, suspecting either a low leveled lieutenant or a youma, and she tried to pinpoint its exact location. Benitoite had killed a senhi before her eyes, and she was going to return the favor... at least, that's what she let on. All she wanted was reactions, at this point... he may have been stronger than her, but she was certain she could leave him in the dust when it came to a chase. 'Let's see how willing you are to defend your little youma... Maybe give you a taste of your own medicine...

"I'm a human, the same as you, not some monster or demon - incapable of human emotions. Figure it like this...in a war a solider still feels for those he fights with and for those he fights for. He is able however to kill the enemy and feels less and less each time." It was the easiest way to explain it, and the way he spoke he made it sound as though he were teaching a small, or slow, child a simply lesson. It really wasn't that hard of a thing to understand, at least not in his opinion. This was a war after all and thus the normal things which occurred in a war took place here as well.

"Tell me...would you treat someone off fighting in the middle east like this? Because I assure you enough of them find killing the enemy quite easy as well. I'm sure some even enjoy it. Those in the past wars can have the same said for them as well, I'm again sure of this." Given the odds and how many people were involved in those wars, the odds were in his favor. He wasn't about to go speaking when he couldn't at least have a fair amount of confidence in his words being true. Especially not here and now when speaking to a senshi.

"The youma still fight for freedom, they continue by aiding us. They have not blown their chance. And it wasn't blown...it was ripped away from them in a most unfair manner. Magic versus simple weapons." Talk about fairness. Even now he hadn't the magic of a senshi. He could teleport and summon a weapon. he didn't have some magical weapon. He had to be in close enough to fight with his body or his weapon. He couldn't attack someone from across a room via magic.

"You needn't take up arms. You could sit this whole thing out and let it go, place the rose tinted glasses back on your face and ignore it all. Eventually the war will end, as all wars must do." Eventually being the keyword of course, when was eventually? "You should also ask...who woke first...the senshi, for no reason if their was no negaverse, or did the negaverse wake first? If the senshi woke first why? There was no remnants of the past to fight. None amongst our ranks are that old, I assure you." Unless Beryl...but he knew nothing of her and so he kept quite about her. He was utterly clueless on her, aside from the Christmas tree incident. He still wasn't sure if the tree fight or the sweaters was the worst part of that party. The sweater was pretty damn bad.

"World peace won't happen until many things are done away with, to do that would cause a war. People will not give up things which keep us from world peace. To do that you'd be looking to start wars...not end them. A nice notion...but perhaps a bit too mature of a subject for you to speak on."
