(GET IT?! I AM SO CLEVER.)
He needed a little break from the Stormborn.
Now that Ruzanski had been sent off, for, if he was not mistaken, something Raiden had done. Or he thought that might be the cause, anyways. Either way, he was quite sure soon things would get a little more complicated for his alter-ego. He had no idea how long the paternity of the cubs Kazul was carrying would remain secret, and after having his fun, walking among the pride members as they theorized, Thunder decided to just take a break.
That simple, really. He was just taking a break, and chilling. He made no effort to disguise himself out here, far from the Stormborn, and he floated conspicuously above the ground, stomach to the sky as if he were lying on his back, and wings out, flapping lazily occasionally. He didn't need them to fly, after all.
He was heading for a cliff face, however, and should probably consider opening his eyes soon, before he crashed into something. It was perhaps a miracle he had avoided hitting any trees thus far.

Rolling her shoulders, Kali extended her wings out as she stretched, tired from wandering around all day. She yawned, dropping her bone scythe to the ground, and blinked slowly a few times, glancing back and forth as she did so. My, today was quite boring. Kali was a childish, playful lioness by nature, with a definite streak of mischievousness, so she didn’t really take well to just walking around doing absolutely nothing. She was on an extended stay in the mortal realm – well, extended mostly meaning she would stay here until she got sick of the heat, which was something that would probably never happen – thinking that the mortals would the most fun to harass and mess with. But so far, today, nothing at all had crossed her path, and that just kind of, well, sucked. Leaning down to pick up her scythe, Kali flicked her ears forward, her eyes following soon after as she brought her head up. There, just off in the distance, seemed to be something large and black moving in her direction. But something was…off about it. At that distance, it almost seemed like it could just be her eyes playing tricks on her, but Kali was fairly sure that whatever it was was moving through the…air? A feeling of excitement began to well up in her, and she desperately tried to think of ways to get its attention. Looking around as it grew closer, she could only think of one thing, and it was right under her nose. Tossing her scythe slightly in the air, she grabbed it by the ribbon that was attached to it, swinging it gently in circles with her mouth; it was quite dizzying, actually, and she was very glad when she finally tossed it straight up, in hopes of hitting the creature that now seemed to be fairly clear above her.
wooga Paes (( Sorry about the delay on this. ^^;; ))

That was hardly something he expected when floating around like that. Raiden was just relaxing when something shot up just past his head, narrowly avoiding contact. As a god he was a hard thing to really scare, but by Mkodi had that startled him! He dropped a few feet in response, flailing his legs and flapping his wings as a result from the drop.
Geez, what was that for?
He wrinkled his nose and turned over so he could look at what was below him, and failed to remember that most of the time, what came up must come down. The scythe smacked down on his head, clattering between his horns before continuing down towards the ground.
Raiden grunted, irritated, then continued a more controlled, albeit quick descent downwards. "Hey! What's the big idea?!"

As she watched her scythe fly, Kali was pretty glad that it had actually missed the creature going up. Thinking about it, it could've been really bad, especially since she wasn't certain at that point what it was that she was aiming at. She took no responsibility for the returning fall, though, and even let out a small giggle as she watched it happen.
By this point, she had already figured that the creature that was soaring over the Savannah was one like her; the wings, the horns - they all screamed God. It probably helped that Kali herself shared both of those traits.
Staring up for a few moments, Kali only started to pick her scythe back up from off the ground after he was on the descent. "Oh, you must forgive me for my methods." Though, it had been pretty funny. Placing the bone apparatus down at her paws, she didn't really want to struggle to talk around it; it's not like she was worried about losing it or anything.
"But, I just had to get your attention."

He huffed slightly, flapping his great wings as he landed a few feet away. He didn't look truly angry, perhaps a little miffed. Raiden didn't take life seriously enough to get angry at such things. "What if I'm not in a forgiving mood?" He asked, purely to contradict her.
Still, he might as well take this opportunity for a distraction. "Well, you got it. What's up?" Despite his initial irritation, the god didn't seem particularly intent on staying upset over anything. He might as well move on with life.

"Well, in all honesty, I wouldn't be all that crushed if you didn't." Grinning at him, Kali was hoping that this male god would prove to be interesting.
"I didn't really have much of a plan for after I got your attention." Glancing to the side, Kali bit her bottom lip. "I just wanted it, that's all." It seemed a bit selfish, but Kali tended to live by her instincts, as well as her own personal whims.
"I've only met a few other gods, and when I saw you..." Staring straight at him for a moment, she tilted her head, running her eyes up and down his dark figure. "I mean, look at you." Her words were meant mostly as a compliment; though, Kali was fascinated by the fact that he also had a set of horns adorning his head. And, unlike other gods she'd met in the past, he seemed to represent a darker domain.
And she liked that notion.

He made a face at that, bordering childish indignation. Why would she do that for no reason? He might have smacked her, were she an insolent mortal. But she wasn't, so of course he refrained. "That's great." He said, not even trying to sound honest.
And then... was she checking him out? In his mind he was beginning to come to the conclusion, based on the looking him up and then the comment. He wondered if he should be a little flattered, and didn't know how to react. This was definitely a weird situation. "Uh... right." He might have been able to act more charming, but the change was a bit unexpected and Raiden just wasn't quite prepared to switch just... like that.
"I'm Raiden, God of Thunder. Who're you?" Introductions seemed a good, easy thing for him to grab on to.

Left ear twitching, Kali wasn't so sure how to respond to his lack of...responses. She had always been a rather talkative, whimsical goddess, so why was it that she always met others that seemed to be the exact opposite?
Letting out a sigh, she decided to slow her pace a bit, calming herself down. She had his attention now, right? There was no need to fall over herself in excitement; she probably looked like a hyperactive cub right now.
"I'm Kali, Goddess of Hazards." Taking a step forward, she smiled, drawing out the emphasis on the 'a' in her name. "God of Thunder, huh?" Watching her paw as she scratched at the ground, she held an amused expression. She knew he'd have a pretty cool domain; and what's cooler than thunder? Often times she'd corner some small creature, terrified by the booming sound of thunder coming down from the sky; it was really quite wonderful sounding.

"Hazards." He repeated, somewhat amused. Well, the probably explained the whole... throwing her pointy stick around. Yeah, made total sense now. Oh well, he couldn't really begrudge someone for their nature like that. Not that Raiden liked having the thing tossed at him any bit more!
"Yeah, god of Thunder. It's pretty cool." He began to relax a bit now, at least because some things had been explained. "So you're the goddess of hazards. Do you run around wreaking havoc or something?" At least it might be entertaining. But maybe she didn't quite work that way.

"Soooomething like that...." Scratching at the ground beneath her, her eyes drifted off. She could recall countless times where she would harass mortals, in one fashion or another, and half the time they would think it was just sheer luck that they had misfortune befall them. Too bad for them.
"But God of Thunder, hmm?" Stepping a little closer, Kali tilted her head, a crooked smile on her maw. "That's gotta be pretty cool." Though, she had no idea what exactly he could do, other than, you know...thunder.

Raiden could get behind that. Wreaking havoc, and whatnot. He liked it in many ways. The blatant, obvious kind, you know, the sort where you showed up in the middle of a pride gathering and was just generally irritating, as well as the more subtle, build-up sort.
He grinned, happy to get some recognition now that he was fully over the unfortunate event that brought him here (being attacked by a scythe). "It's neat." He agreed, with prejudice. Yes, thunder was very cool. "But Hazards seems pretty neat too. Sounds fun." He shrugged, it was an honest, but Raiden was admittedly bad at complimenting anyone.

"It really can be." Bouncing slightly on her toes, Kali definitely took pride in her own domain. "I mean, there's never a dull moment." Giving Raiden a playful glance; after all, her domain had played a part in their meeting. But maybe that was just Kali's own personality getting mixed in.
"So with Thunder..." Taking a moment to think, there were quite a few things she wanted to ask him, but picking the right one seemed to be a bit challenging. "Seems like you'd have quite the presence." Well, that was a bit of a flop, as far as questions go. But as soon as she had said his domain, a vivid picture of his dark figure, slowly walking across the savannah with a backdrop of dark and looming clouds hung in her mind.
It was pretty awesome.

That sounded fun! I'd like to see sometime." He liked messing with mortals, he liked watching other gods mess with mortals. Raiden had to admit that though they, Gods, were all-mighty, their eternal life would be pretty dull without mortals. And they probably wouldn't exist, but, anyways.
"Mmm, you could say that." He nodded, and always content to do a little demonstration, thumped his tail against the ground, and an unusual amount of dust and tiny pebbles scattered away. Though the sky wasn't particularly cloudy, the sound of thunder was unmistakeable, and pretty loud. Yep, Raiden could definitely make a fantastic appearance if he wanted to. And he often did.
