She was going to get better at this senshi thing. She was. Which was why she'd steadfastly decided to start getting more used to her senshi form. In theory, this was a good idea - take your everyday tasks and perform them as a senshi. It was an idea that'd gone well just about up to the point where she realized she needed to get some shopping done. Like, she really needed to get her shopping done. Which meant going out of the house. But her hairdryer had died and, unfortunately, the local supermarket just didn't stock the brand of hairdryer she used. And as Vanadis had learned, All Hairdryers Were Not Created Equal, and she was not going to ruin her hair by using an inferior brand. Her hair was precious, OK. So to a shopping street it was. Luckily it was still fairly early in the afternoon and the stores were still open. It hadn't taken long to find what she'd needed, although the stares (and occasional jeers) as she shopped were a bit disconcerting. The clerk had been almost too distracted to ring her item through, but finally she'd managed to get through to him long enough to make her purchase and get out of the store. Which was how she came to be strolling around the streets of stores in DC with a shopping bag in her hand, attempting to ignore the other people around her.

It was nothing more that Pippin enjoy to shop on a wonderful day like this. He had done all his task he had set for himself today. He had wash, check over all his list, watch the local people who where on the street, and now all he had to do was to go shop. What he wanted more then ever was a golden watch. Yes, he tons of these but he wanted just one more, it couldn't hurt too bad to have another one, right? He let out a small giggle and hopped back and forth on the side walk. Of course many people gave him weird looks but not as many as the female he spotted a few blocks ahead of him.
Was that a......senshi? IN BOARD DAYLIGHT? He shook his head, rubbed his eyes and blinked a few time to make sure that he was actually looking at this. And yes, there she was plain in sight a pretty red head senshi in board daylight. Wait, the bigger question here was, That she was shopping! Oh this was perfect. The little cat rubbed his paw together and smiled. Hopefully she didn't have a cat because this lucky little senshi was going to be this cat's new friend. He just thought of all the wonderful possibilities this could bring. So many new stuff. He purred in happiness and rand straight towards her.
Running right next to her, he started to rubbed against her legs. He had to play it easy, no talking until he was right in her ear, he couldn't have anyone else see this. Oh this was just too good to be true.

Sailor Vanadis, Senshi of Wards stopped, blinked, and looked down at her feet. Was that.. was that the feeling of something furry rubbing against her ankles? Yes, she identified, yes it was. "Who're you, little fella?" Kneeling down on the sidewalk, the red-head held out a hand for the little cat to sniff. So cute! So adorable! Those stubby little legs, whatchamacallit, a munchkin, right, that was it! Aww, it was so soft and irresistible. Right there on the middle of the sidewalk, with angry civilians passing her and muttering curse words, Vanadis melted.

Great. All of this was great. Now he just need a plan. Should he tell her that she was his and they forever had to shop all the time or should he just say that he is a cat and listen to him. This was very hard. He smiled up to her and carefully moved in on her ear drum. "Hello there Vanadis! I'm Pippin. Guardian cat of animals. How I know your name, easy really, all guardian cats can tell. Can we best friewnds?" he said adding the "w" in to make him sound and look more adorable then he already was.
If she's wasn't sold already, then she would be sold now. He looked up to her with the softest kitty eyes and let out a small but helpless purr to seal the deal. "I do like having friewnds and....shopping" he paused to look around and look up again at her, "And well as I could tell you're the best person my eyes could tell." he said with a small happy smile.
Oh Pippin was good.

Okay, that was not what she'd been expecting. At all. Whatsoever. Vanadis blinked again, this time more furiously and a lot more confused. Wha-- a guardian cat? Sure, she knew about guardian cats; she still remembered the terrifyingly grumpy one that had awakened her, but other than Astraea, she'd never met another talking cat. Except now she obviously had. And he was adorable. The red-head melted again, entirely at the mercy of the little munchkin cat. "Aww, of c-course we can be friends!" She tentatively reached out to pat him on the head. How could she resist? He was so cute! "Shopping?" She paused, looking around as a tiny bell went off in her head. How could a talking cat shop? Probably with even more difficulty than a full-on senshi. She narrowed her eyes, looking down at him. "How're you gonna do that? Civilians are s-silly y'know, you could get hurt!" She was flattered that he thought she was the best person around, but really, at the moment worry for his safety was prevailing. What if someone freaked out and attacked him when he tried to shop? Talking cats weren't the norm, after all.

He smiled. She was cute, very cute and meek. Something that he could to his advantage. He rubbed up against her as she spoke about them being friends. Perfect, just perfect. He smiled again and like Eskimo kiss her. "Silly Vanadis, everyone knows that civilians aren't too bright at these kinds of thing. All they would think is that your even more utterly cute because you shop with your best friend! Which is me of course! I'm Pippin, by the way." he finish with a smile and looked up to her with the sweetest eyes.
Of course he felt a little bad, using her shy personality to his advantage but he did really want to go shopping, so there was no other way he could of manage that. She was really cute though, and he hoped that she wouldn't catch on too fast. He looked down open his mouth and paused, and then closed his mouth. He did feel bad and wonder why others did shop with her, she did seem awfully nice. He sighed and looked up with adorable eyes and open his mouth to talk, "Vanadis, may I ask one question? Why are you shopping in you Sailor Outfit? Wouldn't you feel better in normal clothing?" he said looking at her.
This confused the cat greatly. At first all he was thinking about was just going shopping but now looking at the situation he wondered if this was even a careful thing to do. She was saying that he could hurt but if a negaverse agent saw like this, then he could cause her to get hurt. He pause in his own thoughts to really understand this. The situation move away from him to go shopping but why would this scout go out in daylight and public with her outfit on. He looked around, watching the civilians, looking at them. Ok, he had to get this all straight; first, civilans though sailor scouts where terrorist, second, agents cool see her and capture quiet quickly and third, this was all just a bit weird to do.
Pippin was confused, just so greatly confused. All his tiny little life he wanted to be a human, just like her, to go out and freely do anything without having people question his every move because he was a cat but yet this girl was doing the exact opposite, which made no sense in his head, what so ever. Why was this, why did she want people to stare at her or possibly take account that she was attacking their town or worst giving up her presume identity to the negaverse. Pippin open his mouth to speak and yet couldn't. He just stood there and gently sat down, unsure what to say. He had never been this confused in his life. He looked up and suddenly felt tears running down face. He felt confused and yet sad for this scout. Was she lonely or just as confused as he was. He quickly wipe his tears and look away. "S....sorry" he said quietly. All of sudden tons of emotions ran through his body and he couldn't help it.

"Oh, I guess that's true." He was really cute; if anyone could improve the civilians' view on senshi (and their shopping habits too, probably) Vanadis figured it'd be Pippin. He was so sweet! How could any of the people that were passing them by on the sidewalk resist stooping down to put their hands in his fur? He was... well, she'd never much been one for cats - and especially after the whole thing with Astraea - but if anyone could convince her to become a cat lady, this little munchkin was definitely it. And he was so nice! Not at all like the grumpy guardian cat that'd first taught her how to power up; no, Vanadis was sure that if Pippin was ever going to power anyone up, he'd be polite and loveable and utterly cute about it, and not grumpy and terrifying and slightly scolding like Astraea had been. "But, um, I'm not sure all of these shops allow pets in them. Not that you're a pet, I mean, you're o-obviously a guardian cat which is cool and awesome, but they don't know that." And then she listened as the little munchkin asked her a question - he looked a bit confused, and really, she couldn't blame him because going out as a sailor scout had been one of her dumbest ideas yet, probably, only she couldn't quite regret it after meeting him. And she might still be learning something, yeah, you never knew! Just as she was about to explain (possibly fib a tiny bit to make it sound less idiotic) all this to him, he started... he started crying. Vanadis gaped. Could cats even do that? Except obviously they could and he looked just miserable with fat tears rolling down his little kitty face and she just couldn't handle it OK, so with sympathy tears in her eyes, the red-haired senshi scooped up Pippin and gave him the best hug she could, burying her face - and her own tears, she was an easy crier, so what - in his fur and petting him while she held him close. "I-it's OK! You don't need to be sorry, at all!" Her voice was slightly muffled by his fur, so she drew her head back and positioned him so he was facing her. "You should never, ever be sorry about having emotions because emotions are what make you hum-- er, well, cat, I guess. It's what makes you a person." She looked awfully determined while giving this little spiel; it had occurred to Vanadis that a whole lot of awesome people seemed to be sorry for crying, like it was something to be ashamed of. It wasn't, in her opinion, it was what showed who a person was and their strength. That still didn't mean that she had any idea what he was crying about, though...

Pippin had never expect her to pick him up, really especially after crying but it was nice to be in someone's embrace and he enjoy it greatly. He looked up to her with big water eyes and smiled. "Are you sure? I didn't mean to scare you Vanadis, I just get overly emotional sometimes" he paused to sniffle and continue, "I just have a lot of feeling and you just looked so sad and I was so just confused." he said almost in a small pout.
He watched as tear ran her face and frown. He had mad her cry and he felt horribly for this. How could he do this to a scout, who seem so lost already. He gently moved his tiny paw to wipe some of the tears off her face. He brighten up as quickly as she spoken the word "person". With a bright smile he quickly began to talk, "You really think so? You think I'm a person? I want to be a boy so bad, Vanadis! It's my dream! Oh, really it's my dream! You're the best Vanadis! I'm so much happier now! Best, best best! The greatest I say. I feel much better now, so now we can shop, right?" he said with a big smile on his face. He looked straight into her eyes with the biggest kitty look he could pull off. "Pweasssse, Vanadis? It would make me the happiest kitty in the world! And then if you would like, we could go back and play with the stuff we get, in your house! How does that sound? I think it sound just brilliant, if you ask me." he said with a big grin.

"It's OK." She patted him gently, stroking his fur and giving him an encouraging smile. It probably looked a bit weird, because her face was getting blotchy from the crying and she had to keep sniffing her nose lest the less attractive side-effects of crying escape her right there on the sidewalk. "Um, I'm s-sure you can be! Like, I know this cat, like, Astraea? She was a cat like you when I first met her, but the second time I saw her she turned into a lady. She looked really human! Just, um, ears and tail stayed, if I remember correctly." She nodded determinedly, sure that Pippin could achieve the same one day. That was what talking cats did, right? Turning into human-like people. Honestly, she had no idea, Astraea was the only one she'd ever met and could compare situations to. And then he went and suggested shopping again. Oh, what the heck. "Right, let's go shop! What k-kind of things are you interested in? 'cause I mean, we can go check out perfumes and stuff but I'm not sure your nose can take it." She looked worried again, petting him distractedly and trying to think of what else they could go shop for. What would a kitty even want to shop for, in the first place? Cat treats, toys?

He gave her a soft smile and lightly touched her blotchy face with his little paw. "You're so wonderful Vanadis! I knew this was going to be a wonderful day after seeing you" he said with a soft, sweet smile.
As she talke again his eyes grew wide. Yes, he had seen this before when he went to the mauvain meeting. Most of them were humans! He wasn't sure if that was a trick or something but if Vanadis had saw this then that had to be true. Oh this would be great! He wondered how this would happen to him. He smiled and lightly wagged his tail. "Oh this is terrific new Vanadis! Just terrific! I wonder how I can access this! Maybe I might have to do a certain thing? Do you think?" he said with a hopeful smiled up to her.
Oh there was no need to ask what kind of things her was interested in because it was only one thing he wanted and that was all the shiny things in the world. "I would like to go to a jewelry store, please! They have pretty diamond I would like. They shine very bright and make me so every happy." he said moving his paws together in a happy giggle." "I, I don't really know." She thought for a few moments, trying as hard as she could to remember everything she knew about guardian cats. It was awfully little. "But, um, the first time I met her she wasn't a cat-lady, it was only later. Maybe.. maybe it's like, a coming of age thing? L-like, you hit five years, congratulations! Human-cat time?" It was the best she could think of, anyway, but even she had to admit it didn't sound very plausible. But honestly, she just didn't know enough about guardian cats to make a real, educated guess and this was the best she could do. "Oh, okay!" She stood up, bringing Pippin with her. "Er, d'you want to w-walk yourself? Only, I'm not sure the store will let you in on, um, your own." She spied a jewelry store just down the street, so it wasn't like it'd be hard to find one. But they should probably decide their plan of action before going in, because she didn't think the employees and the other customers would miss her plotting with a talking cat. Quite probably someone would call the police and the whole thing would just end in a mess.

"Hmmm" he said tapping his chin. He wasn't sure how this would happen but she was giving him more information then he already had so this was better then nothing. He just hope this thing would be soon because he wanted to be a human so bad. "Maybe when I' older? I am or seem to be one of the younger cats?" he said with hopeful eyes.
He smiled up to her and gave her a small hug. "Um Sure! I should be fine." he said. He tapped his chin and then grin. "I have an idea. How about you open the door and let me in and I can just grab what I want and then we can go? How about that? Huh? Most of the time I can't get into the shops, so that's the biggest problem! And you would be helping me right there!" he said with a big smile.

"Yeah, that's probably it then!" She beamed at him - at least until he went and suggested... shoplifting?? Vanadis' brow furrowed, and her expression turned slightly disappointed. "Y-you - you want to steal things from people?" That was... really bad. She'd thought Pippin was such a good kitty and he'd seemed so nice, but stealing was just plain wrong! Maybe he didn't know that stealing was wrong or something? She guessed maybe things were a bit different in cat society than they were in human society, but that still didn't mean she thought stealing was right, under any circumstance but possibly life-and-death. And jewelry didn't really fall under that category.

Pippin frowned. He didn't mean it like that. He saw it as taking all the good the people didn't want. And Vanadis looking at him with such a disappointed face broke his tiny little kitty heart. "I-i'm sorry! I didn't mean like that! I don't steal I only take the things that the people don't want! Promise! I've been watching this store for awhile now and seeing what people have pick up and place back down! I'm doing it good and giving the shiny a home! I'm sorry Vanadis, please don't be mad at me! Please!" he said looking up to her with the most pitiful eyes.
He looked down and frowned. He didn't mean to actually steal the things. It was like giving them another home. He didn't have money so how else was he suppose to go shopping. Maybe she would understand...he only could hope.

Well. It still sounded quite fishy to Vanadis, but the look on his little kitty face made her iron resolve weaken a bit. "Well... I guess the store owners are insured. And if they're not, I guess they'll learn a lesson. Maybe." She still couldn't keep the frown off her face, though - but it wasn't directed at Pippin anymore. Instead she was frowning a bit absentmindedly at the jewelry shop she'd spotted earlier, contemplating whether or not 'they're really stupid then and it's their own fault' was a good enough excuse for stealing from un-insured storeowners. "Alright, we c-can go get a shiny." She sighed, deflating and wiping the frown off her face in the process. "Just.. nothing that's really expensive, alright? Stuff like that is p-probably being watched more closely, and we don't want you to get caught. I don't think cats have any personal rights as criminals in the American justice system, so that'd be pretty bad."
