 Eric was out for a nice walk away from the castle and all the humans. He had left Taw with Edward to keep him company and simply wanted some time to be himself in nature. He had fed and cleaned up and was now patrolling the endless meadows still choked with dew. It was peaceful here and he adored it. A cozy stall was all well and good for a little bit but overall he liked the outdoors.

 Bengali wasn't entirely sure where he was at the moment. He'd been running north for what seemed like days, trying to escape a group of Azrein who seemed intent on doing him harm. Why?...He couldn't say. He hadn't done anything to anger them as far as he knew, and unless he had strayed into their herds territory, they really had no call to attack him. His legs were on fire right now, as he was not in the best of shape, and at one point they had almost caught up with him. But he used his cunning, and manages to elude them once he had crossed the river. He now found himself in a lush, green meadow, still covered in the last drops of the mornings dew. He was startled when he saw another stallion walking in the same meadow. Would this stallion also want to attack him? Was he trespassing in his territory. As the stallion turned, Ben noticed the fangs protruding from his mouth, and he almost thought about running in the opposite direction. However, his legs refused to let him do that. Ben wasn't the bravest stallion on the plains, but he knew when it came to a fight, he could hold his own, even against one such as this.

Eric walked for a little bit longer, upon looking up he was stunned that he had missed the silvery azrein before now. "Hello there, are you out for a walk too?' He asked curiously. He was still in an excellent mood and he was bent on enjoying this night. "You look a tad winded are you okay?"

He pulled up short as the stallion addressed him in a cordial tone. Perhaps this one was not out for blood. "I wouldn't exactly say I was walking, and yes, I am a bit out of breath. Seems that agents of the Six had their sights set on shedding my blood. I've been running all day, trying to get away from them. Lost them across the river a few hours back, but decided it might be a good idea to put as much distance as possible between them and me. So, I am Bengali, but you can just call me Ben. What may I call you?"

"You may call me Eric. Sworn enemy of the six. So if you need a quiet sixless place to stay the night you can sleep at the castle if you like or in one of the good herds, I have one I would recommend if you dislike buildings." Eric nodded his head at Bengali, it was never nice to be chased. "Its a point to your stamina that you have eluded the buggers so far."

"Yes, well I may not be the fastest Azrein on the plains, but I did outsmart them, and was able to shake their pursuit after a few hours. Seems the Six don't draw very intelligent types to their side, if those fools were any indication of their forces." Ben was quite pleased with himself, and wasn't about to throw away a chance to show off his intelligence. "The castle you say? I think I would like very much to visit the King's castle. I've heard news in my travels of a new Azrein choosing the King. Is it true that the gods have graced Valdien with a son?"

"It is yes, Varian looks much like his father, however there are a few distinguishing differences that become quite obvious, quite quickly. Like the antlers for example." Eric smiled. "He is striking and a pleasure to converse with. I am glad the King has bonded with another."

"Antlers?" replied Ben with an air of surprise. "I don't think I have ever met one of our kind with antlers before. Now I want to see him even more, just to see them for myself. I have not seen one of these humans that have our brothers to the south in such a tizzy. Why is it do you think that they hate them so much? I have not met any who have bonded with a human, so I cannot say one way or the other what the experience does for one of us, or the human for that matter, but it cannot be so bad."
