Eos stood in the river, dipping hid head in every so often to allow the water's currents to wash away the foul muck from his fur. It was a bit slow of a cleaning process, but eventually much of it was cleaned away, allowing for his white fur to show once again. He still smelled a bit off, but nothing a little time couldn't wear away. A bit unsteadily he walked back out of the river, sitting himself down on the grass to start drying off. This would take much longer, as the sun was no longer up to help, but he felt much better now that he neither smelled nor was he weighed down any longer by the extra weight.

"Thank you." He finally spoke, though his gaze stayed forward. He wasn't quite sure where the female was anymore. "It would have taken me much longer to get out of there on my own, let alone find a source of water so soon to wash it off." Eos smiled, hoping she was at least somewhere in front of him, or this would be a very odd looking conversation.

"I do suppose you were pretty lucky that I happened to be there." Auriaya agreed with a cocky grin on her face as she spoke to the male lion. She had led him to the water's edge and allowed him to bathe in privacy while she had looked for a small meal in the meantime. Though she did chuckle as he spoke, his gaze outward towards the darkened plains of Africa while Auriaya stood slightly to the right of where his gaze was looking. "I'm over here." The white lioness said, the grin subsiding for now as it was replaced by a more genuine smile. "You have trouble seeing, don't you? No sense denying it anyways. You fell into that hole after I warned you. You didn't grab the stick when I offered it and you weren't even looking at me when you were speaking. So why in the world would you be traveling alone?"

Eos chuckled slightly at her statement. She certainly didn’t seem to be a modest one, but that just made her that much more interesting. He turned his head towards her voice, nodding as she spoke. “No, I don’t suppose there is, though I would not have denied it anyways.” A light sigh followed before he continued to speak. “Well I wasn’t travelling alone this whole time. My brother was with me, however as you can see he is no longer accompanying me. I haven’t had much of a choice since then but to wander on my own.” He fell silent afterwards, not sure if he should explain further.

“Are you travelling alone as well?” He asked, deciding that if further explanation should be required it might best be saved for a later time, that is if she was even curious.

A nod of agreement came as the answer to the male's question. "I am. Never really had anyone to travel with so it's just been me." Of course Auriaya would not mention her fear of other, thinking them after her pelt. "A brother huh? Must be nice to have family. I never really knew mine that well." In fact, she wasn't even sure what really happened to her parents though her guess was that they were white lions as well and were slain for their skins to robe some queen or something.

"So no new traveling companion? Really? You're a white lion like myself and blind to boot. Hunting must be especially difficult for you."

“I see. This is the first time I have been alone. Usually I had some family or pride member with me, but..” He trailed off for a moment before speaking again, though he did not continue upon his previous thought. “Family can be nice though. I don’t know where much of mine is any longer, though I am sure I will see them again someday.” Eos smiled at her, or at least in the direction of her voice.

“Not yet anyways. I’ve managed on my own so far, though hunting has been difficult. I am still adjusting to the loss of my sight so so far I have had to either rely on others or scavenge to survive.”

"Pft, that's no way to live. You're no hyena or buzzard. You're a lion. Hmph, maybe we can find someone to teach you to hunt for yourself. Not sure where we'd find someone like that though..." It's true though, Auriaya had no real, solid ideas on where they could find a hunting trainer. Though there were a couple of prides around, maybe one of them could help them both learn to be better hunters and maybe find someone else to help this male learn to deal with his loss of eyesight.

"Say, I don't even know you're name." Auriaya suddenly said, her head tilting slightly to the side as she leaned forward to look at him better. "I'm Auriaya, what's your name?"

Eos could not help but laugh a little at this. “I’m sure I won’t scavenge forever, it will just take some practice. Some help might not hurt though, but I am unsure how lucky we would be to find someone who knows how to train someone to hunt blind.” Surely it wasn’t an impossible idea, but it seemed unlikely. If nothing else a pride might at least give a stable home where he wouldn’t have to worry about starving if he failed to catch anything, or find anything.

“A very pretty name.” Eos said with a smile. “I am Eos.”

"Well I suppose it's up to me to find us both a pride huh?"

It wasn't an idea Auriaya tremendously liked but she had been meaning to find another anyways. After being in and out of so many prides, it felt odd thinking of joining another, especially with someone else! None of the prides she had joined ever felt right. What if this one didn't fit either? She had some blind lion who she just met already depending on her. She already had a hard enough time hunting for herself but now she had to hunt for two fully grown lions because there was no way she would scavenge off of someone else's kill. They needed to find a pride for themselves fast...

“We can keep an eye out for others passing by as well, they may know of a place.” Eos said. Of course when he said we he meant her, being that in his current situation keeping an eye out for anyone would be a bit hard. He wasn’t worried though, never one to really do so anyways. They’d find a place.

"Yeah, yeah." Auriaya replied with quickly, almost dismissing the statement that Eos just said. It was really a matter of time at that point on if they'd find a place or not. Though she did know of a few nearby prides, maybe one of those would take a pair of nearly useless hunting lions. It was kind of an amusing though but it was a true one at the least. They were kind of useless with their bright white pelts and until they learned to properly hunt they would continue to be so. "Come on then, lets get going." The lioness said matter-of-factly as she began moving in the direction of one of the two known prides with the male following behind.
