Uthuli had gotten over his panic fast when it came to introducing the girls to his aunt and getting them settled into their new home. He worried about how it looked, sure, but his family was supportive and he had Aysu to help him when he needed it.. so he was getting much more comfortable. It helped that the girls were adorable and thriving, even after separating from their mother and other siblings.
While everybody was still asleep, Uthuli left the den early in the morning- though he didn't go far. He lay out in the sunshine, waiting to see who would be the first to wake up and disturb this rare moment of silence.

Perhaps someday she might be more curious of her mother, the family back in the veyr very green place. But she was here now, on ground that looked like the moon in her eyes. Actually, Taini noticed, many things were pale like the moon. But she wasn't sure it if was supposed to be. Sometimes things were one way, another, another way. She thought her eyes were tired.
She tried sleeping late.
But she couldn't help it.
Shining eyes peered from the mouth of the den seeing the pale form of her father, dad...fluffy faced daddy with the fluffy tail fluff.
It needed to be conquered.
So quietly she stalked, hoping to be unseen.
Except she was anything but quiet, huffing with each step trying to focus out teh details and contrast. Her eyes must be tired today.

Despite having very little personal experience with cubs, Uthuli found that parenting came quite naturally to him. At least, some of it did. He might have a different view of his talents as a father when actual trouble came up but for now his girls were all perfect angels, though busy, and he was very happy for it.
When he heard the unmistakable sounds of a stalker, he did his very best not to react but he couldn't keep his ears pointed forward or a small smile off ot his face. It was hard to tell exactly which little one it was from the huffing and puffing but he was in trouble, big trouble.
His tail began to sway behind him absently.

Now was her chance.
But a diversion...
She needed one.
Sticking ehr tongue from her mouth she looked to the ground, found a pebble, picked it up with her paw, between her toes carefully, adn then flung it, far as she could...which was not far, towards her father's faces, his front paws, as she sprung for attack!
Paws outstretched, mouth open, she pounced on the fluff of his tail grabbing hold and immediately chewing, as if trying to envelope the entirety in her mouth to subdue the beast.

He knew he was about to be attacked but the pebble that suddenly came flying at him- however clumsily- startled him. He straightened himself up and, just before his daughter could pounce, he looked back to her. But it was too late, she had his tail in the next second.
"Taini," he greeted her with a chuckle, his tail trying to pull free but not with enough force to actually escape her toothy grip. It was no fun without a fight, he knew that, so he gave her a moment of struggle before he kept his tail still- or he tried to. It wasn't easy with a cub on your tail, instinct told him to get it free.
"Good catch!"

Taini would not let go, no. This was her prize, and she chewed, stopped, tail fluff in her mouth, sticking out on either side as a little bit of drool came off her chin and she giggled, muffled by the fur of course, and then continued chewing.
It was hers..not very tasty, but she had won!
Winner..subduer, conqueror.
Oooo, she liked that one.
"Rhiim Traini trhe cronqreror," and she held on for her dear little life.

Uthuli watched her with a smile on his face, shaking his head as she chewed and drooled over the fluffy end of his tail. Cubs. It didn't seem like she was going to give it up that easily, especially when she declared herself Taini the Conqueror with her mouth full of tail.
"Conqueror, eh?" he asked, wiggling his tail defiantly but not enough to pull it free, "And this is all you have to show for it?"

Tain opened her mouth, the fluff of her father's tail plopping to the ground in a heap of slobber and saliva, and Taini grinned, posed and pounced on him. "No, net yet! Someday you'll see! When I'm bigger," she said trying to lift one of his heavy forepaws, "like you, there will be stories, I will be remembered. I will be strong. You will be proud," she said huffing, trying to push a paw into the air, giving up and flopping over, staring up at her father.
"I don't want to be little anymore," she said sternly, crossing her arms awkwardly over herself, "Make me bigger."

He managed not to immediately shake his tail off to try to get some of the saliva off, focusing instead on the silly smile on Taini's face as she pounced. He chuckled as she struggled to lift up his paw, having more fun watching her than making it easier on her by lifting his paw up himself.
"I'm already proud of you, Taini," he said, finally lifting up his paw and giving her a gentle shove, "And you're already getting bigger. You wouldn't remember but you used to be the size of my paw. It just takes a while to get as big as I am."
Uthuli definitely remembered when his girls were smaller- and they would have been even smaller before he had first visited them. Thinking about it made him wonder how the other four were doing in the Pridelands, wonder if Chamba thought about the girls here with him.

"But that's cause your my dad, I want to really make you proud, cause I've done something. You'll see," she said with a nod, and a yawn. She licked her lips and looked to his face, then the sky. If only she could touch it.
Better not get her dreams too high just yet.
Just yet.
"You'll see, everyone will be like 'Wow! Your Taini's dad? Cool!'" she grinned.

"Alright, I'll try to tone down my pride until you really earn it then," he said, making his best serious face despite his amusement- and his insecurity that playing along might not be the best way to go. Taini had to know he loved her and was proud of her whatever she did, she had such a big personality, playing along with her ambition couldn't hurt. However, it did make him even more worried about what it would be like if she were to wind up in the low class. It wouldn't be the be the end of the world but it would limit her freedom to chase opportunities to be so ambitious.
"Do you have anything in particular in mind or is it going to be a surprise?"
