Ring? Check
Dress? Check
Bouquet? Check
Something old, new, borrowed and blue? Check
Kyndall was trembling from head to toe waiting in the wings for someone to say everything was ready. The church hadn't taken much time to find or book and with Bell to help her Kyn had been at ease planning the wedding. Their friends and family waited inside for her to emerge. Harm was up front as her maid of honor. Kyndall felt like she might go everywhere at once.
"I can't believe it." she whispered to herself. Months of getting used to, going to sleep and waking up to him every morning and it still didn't seem real to her. They were Ozzie and Harriet most of the time like out of a fifties TV show. Their families all under one roof, combined as best they could be. It felt better to be together than to be apart.
"Kyndall? It's time."
Today she would be leaving behind the last chapter of her life to start the new one, the one that changed everything including her name.
Mrs. Kyndall Darrow.
He brought out the best in her her. She wanted to make him proud today and for the rest of her life, dressing meticulously and trying to have everything perfect. As she gazed in the mirror she judged that it was about as perfect as she'd ever be able to manage. She appeared at the top of the aisle to music with everyone turning to look at her. She didn't notice. She only had eyes for him.

Anthony Darrow tried to think back to any time when he imagined this happening. Marrying someone. Marrying the woman of his dreams, in fact. The one person in the world who made him feel whole and happy, loved and needed. She was everything to him, and all the things he could not hope to find anywhere else.
The fact that he had managed to find her now, here in a place wracked with war and danger, with violence and pain, was amazing to him. He sometimes thought that same magic that gave him the ability to protect the innocent also, somehow, guided him to her.
The Queen to his metaphorical castle. The lady this knight was bound to.
But today, he was no knight. He was a man, wearing an uncomfortable but handsomely fitted tuxedo, staring down an impossibly long aisle and waiting through an eternity to see a woman he had just seen the day before. It filled him with anxiety and excitement, and he could hardly keep still.
Then he saw her and the world melted away. Dogby's excited yipping and Nate's annoyed tone shushing her. The hum of the crowd, the thumps and bumps of everyone's movements. Everything faded until all he could hear was his heart. And, he swore, as she drew closer, he could hear hers as well.
They were in time. Together, alone, they found a pocket of time just for them. A moment to share, to remember forever. To love. He smiled at her warmly and offered her his hands.

Kyndall walked up the aisle unescorted. Without her father there it didn't seem right and anyone she might have asked didn't seem to fit. She was beaming, radiant, bursting with love and joy. This was her knight. Her partner. Her best friend. The love of her life. God above, how did she get so lucky?
She was trembling but it wasn't nerves or fear. She didn't have cold feet. Kyn felt she'd waited a lifetime to find the right person to share her life with and here he was, out of no where. She was terrified he'd suddenly come to his senses and realize it was only her he was marrying and rightfully run screaming from the building. Her heart thumped madly in her chest.
Harmony stood nearby in her beautiful dress, hair done up and smiling as well. She was taking to this change very gracefully. She took her mother's bouquet as Tony reached for her hands and Kyn handed it over. Her hands slid into his, fitting there perfectly. Their hearts beating as one. Her eyes flooded with tears already, happy ones.
"You look so handsome!" she breathed, feeling a great urge to kiss him then and there. She didn't, but she wanted to.
She wasn't particularly religious but there was someone there to officiate. He did the usual things, asking if anyone had any reason they shouldn't be married. Then he asked for their vows. Kyn had hers planned and tearfully, and very sincerely, spoke them just to her husband.
"I'd given up on so much before I met you, Tony. I told myself that they were out of my reach. I was content to live my life thinking there was no knight on a white horse coming to rescue me. But you did. You gave me everything I never dared to want and so much more! For that I promise to be your best friend, your lover, you biggest fan and your best supporter for the rest of our lives. Everything about you fits me. Everything about me was made for you. That is something I know beyond my heart and my mind and with my soul."
Camelot and Shalott would be forever united between them.

Tony had no intentions of running anywhere. He watched her almost calmly, though inside he was near bursting point.
Weddings, he decided, were designed as a subtle method of horrible torture. They capitalized on all the good and the love and the promises two people had for and with one another, and they allowed them to share it with however many people they wanted, but weddings also basked in evil. To make him stand there, watching her draw closer step by step, with an infernally slow song walking her along, when all he wanted to do was take her in his arms and carry her off to start their lives together, was cruel.
But he would suffer it, because his prize was more than he could have ever fathomed. He held her hands and looked into her eyes, seeing everything he had ever known in them. And everything he had been missing in his life, until this moment.
He listened to her vows and smiled softly. He had written something stupid, but he wasn't going to bother with it now. He would just speak from his heart, as difficult as that sometimes was for him, and see where it took him.
He just hoped he didn't say anything stupid.
Really, he wanted to say something profound and amazing, but she said everything he felt, as he knew she would. He gripped her hands and nodded his head, smiling lovingly.
"You are... I love you. Being surrounded by words all day, one would think I'd be good at stringing them together, but I'm not. I can't tell you how much I love you, how perfect you have made my life. I can't describe the way I feel when I see you, that feeling I get when I go to sleep and I know I will wake up beside you in the morning. I will be true to you, and I will spend the rest of my life earning the love you are trusting to me, and making sure, above all else, that you are happy."

Kyndall watched him and listened to the words he said. They were beautiful, perfect. Her heart was bursting with joy. There was no one else in the world - just him. She let out a very short sound that almost resembled laughter, joyful tears filling her eyes. There was nothing she wouldn't do for him, no mountain she wouldn't climb. He made her so happy. She shifted a little on her feet trying to do the proper thing and wait. Decorum.
Kyn let the world fall away and caught his eyes. She squeezed his hands and carried on a very silent conversation with him promising him everything she could for love. The officiator was giving a small speech on love and togetherness and she didn't hear a word of it. He could have been talking about Twinkies or sending rockets to the moon for all she was paying attention. This man...! This man in front of her took up the entirety of the place where her daughter and the memories of her family didn't dwell.
"You may now kiss the bride."
She heard that clearly enough and met his lips as they descended, or maybe she jumped the gun a little she wasn't sure and didn't care. Their first kiss as man and wife. That thought alone thrilled her beyond measure, made her melt and terrified the ******** out of her. He hadn't run screaming but what if she wasn't a good wife? What if he wanted to divorce her later? It would kill her, she was sure of it and then nearly laughed aloud at herself, breaking their kiss. She was being idiotically stupid to think these things. They loved each other and she'd work forever to make sure he was always happy as he promised to do for her.
"I love you, my husband." she whispered against his lips, deliriously happy.

"I love you, too, my wife."
He couldn't believe the words were leaving his lips. Anthony Darrow, bachelor for most of his life, heartbreaker in his youth. Married! He had never imagined it and yet some how it seemed like it had always been in his dreams. Like he had been lonely without even realizing it, save on bad days, and she filled that void without effort. She made him whole, because he had been built to be with her.
There was a lot he had not managed to put into words for his vows, but imagined they would have been far too long if he even tried, and he would just exhaust himself in the effort. He also knew , though, that it went without saying. she understood his heart, and he did not need to tell her for her to know.
At least, he hoped not, because he would try again and again if he had to, to get it right.
He kissed her lovingly, and the rest of the night was a blur. There was a reception to get to, and somehow he managed to end up there. He was sitting beside her, with his hand in hers, waiting for their first dance as a happy couple. Then they could steal away and the honeymoon would begin.
He was looking forward to that.

Kyndall could not imagine a better night. She took his hand and swayed with him on the dance floor to a romantic ballad in the background. Everyone's eyes were on the happy couple and every cell in her body beamed with joy. It poured off of her like sunlight. She crossed the floor and held out her hands to Nathan to join her, if he would. Today of all days she hoped he could be happy for his father. There would not be another day like today.
Eventually she found her way back into her husband's arms. The night danced away and Kyndall was anxious for their honeymoon. She'd never given much thought to why it was called a honeymoon before but now that she thought about it she imagined it was because everything became sweet as soon as the moon rose. she was certainly looking forward to finding out and had no intentions of taking it easy.
The only natural place to go for this first journey of their lives were the two places that started it all: Camelot and Shalott. She'd never been to her wonder before and tried to imagine what it would be like to see it for herself. There was no one else she'd rather share it with but him.He was her best friend. She trusted him with everything she was and thinking of it put a tugging feeling on her heart.
Eventually she changed her clothing to her going away outfit and the limo arrived to take them to the airport. They were sent away with bawdy jests and showers of flower petals. Good wishes and luck, too. She hugged and kissed her daughter and offered Nate a gentle pat on his arm. Then she slid into the limousine. When he climbed in after her she grinned wickedly and slid into his lap, kissing him deeply before she cupped his face in her hands. She felt just a little wild and reckless right now.
This was hardly surprising, considering. Kyndall kissed him again, running her hands down his body. Her grin was wicked, intentions clear.
"It will take a while to get to the airport, right?"

Tony was glad to be away from the party, though he was not too worried about the guests thinking them rude. They were on schedule, running off for their romantic honeymoon. Time together, alone, to bask in their union.
He smiled at her, his new wife.
His mind was on the pretty wedding and ideas of the future, so he was surprised when she climbed into his lap once they had been seen off. He looked at her in wonder, smiling at her devilish advances.
"Can hardly contain yourself, hmm?"
He laughed and kissed her, tugging her close. At least as close as their position would allow. Whatever they got up to, it was as husband and wife. He was all too happy to enjoy it.
