Personality: Generally a carefree, laid back, and talkative person that likes to mess around with people. Her personality is usually a "who cares", type of aptitude. Being extremely headstrong, Sonoka tends to get worked up over things that don't go her way. She is notorious for her famous noogies, extreme laziness, her bad habit of slicing up paperwork, and destructive capabilities. However, she is actually looking for her purpose in life, aiming to rise above her good-for-nothing self in memory of a dear friend she had lost. Though naive and stupid at times, she has her rare moments where she seems to reach the epitome of life.

Biography: Sonoka was an orphan that grew up in Rukongai. From a very early age, she had already gotten herself into all kinds of trouble, like picking fights, getting herself into mischief, and even joining a gang. But when the opportunity arose for Shinigami applicants into Shinō Academy, she took it. Due to Sonoka's lazy and uncaring aptitude, it was a miracle that she became a Lieutenant at all. She constantly skipped classes, and even when she attended, she fell asleep. The only class she dominated, no holds barred, was Zanjutsu and Hakuda practice. She literally destroyed everyone, including the dojo, during these sessions, and constantly got into trouble. When the teachers finally couldn't deal with her anymore, they shipped her to the Onmitsukidō to "wipe up her act". They were hoping the strict doctrines and protocols of the Onmitsukidō would change her attitude. Well, as you can imagine, that also ended up in disaster. Covertness was the last thing on Sonoka's mind, and her motto during that period was to charge the enemy with the least amount of stealth possible. This included Spartan war cries, tree bashing, sword hacking, blood flinging madness. When she was even exiled out of the Onmitsukidō, it was during this time that she was accepted into the Eleventh Division. If the Onmitsukidō couldn't wipe up her act, then the teachers figured that the Eleventh Division would at least contain her unbridled rage. When she entered the Eleventh Division, she met the charming Lieutenant. Of course, Sonoka gave him a sour attitude like she did everyone else. After all, no one really cared about the Shinigami delinquent that was kicked out of Shinō Academy. However, over time, she eventually began to warm up to him and began to change. He taught her discipline, remorse, and empathy, as well as the way of the sword. During a dangerous mission they were both on, Sonoka was attacked by an Arrancar. However, the Eleventh Division Lieutenant took the blow for her, dying in the process. Feeling that she should have been the one to die that day, she became guilt ridden. Here she was, useless and incapable, when the Lieutenant could have lived and lead others. She figured that for all he had taught her, she should do the same. She started aiming for the First Division, due to the fact that it was the Commanding Division. Working up to her rank was one hell of a job, due to the fact of her past records, but she did it. After showing the Shinigami that she had changed, she was finally accepted into the Division and was made the Lieutenant, under the Head Captain.

➟ Shockwave Manipulation - This ability allows the user to manipulate shockwaves. These waves have several different abilities and uses, broken down and explained in the sub sections below.
- Offensive Ability - The user's shockwaves have a high offensive capability. They can cause a large amount of destruction over a wide area by using pure physical force, though its maximum range cannot exceed a fifty feet radius. However, as with all dispersing waves, the shockwave decreases in power as it expands out from its focal point. Its properties are most destructive at its focal point, and gets weaker as it expands out. Smaller shockwaves tend to have more power while sacrificing range, while larger shockwaves have more range while sacrificing power. These shockwaves have a high propulsion rate, are capable of having a cutting edge, and greatly increases the power capabilities of the user's attacks. Depending on the user, the shockwave's strength can either range from a simple propulsive force, or a highly destructive explosion.
Defensive Ability - By condensing the user's shockwaves, the user is able to create a shield of sorts. On contact with the condensed shockwave, the user can push away attacks by using its propulsive attribute. This is also effective in ricocheting attacks, or directing them in a different direction. However, a stronger force, greater than the propulsion rate, is able to break the condensed wave with ease.
Phasing Ability - As described in the previous abilities, the user's shockwaves have the ability of propulsion. By using a variant of this ability, the user can use these shockwaves to "phase" objects, or the user themselves. By centering a shockwave around the object's focal point through touch, the user may shift the object to a selected location within the shockwave, faster than the eye can follow. This is in similarity to teleportation, though the user leaves behind an afterimage of the phased object. This is highly effective for sneak attacks and skewing the opponent's vision.
Sonar Ability - By sending out a shockwave through the user's focal point, this wave acts like a sonar. It enables the user to detect and scope out objects and their movements, in similarity to a bat. The shockwave hits any objects within range, bouncing a shockwave back at the user. The responding signal is immediately utilized into the user's brain, allowing them to keep up with high speed movements, detect hidden objects, and reconnaissance the area of the field.

➟ Soundwave Manipulation - This ability allows the user to manipulate soundwaves. The user now has the ability to emit high piercing shrieks that can temporarily deafen the opponent. At higher frequencies, this can even knock targets unconscious. They can also redirect soundwaves, making sounds come from a different direction to confuse the enemy, or catch them off guard. By creating a sound barrier around oneself, or an object, the user can completely soundproof the target, allowing for stealthier moves. Like shockwaves, the soundwave's effect dissipates over a given area. Its properties are most destructive at its focal point, and gets weaker as it expands out. Smaller shockwaves tend to have more power while sacrificing range, while larger shockwaves have more range while sacrificing power. The maximum range of the user's soundwaves cannot exceed thirty feet.
➟ Lightwave Manipulation - This ability allows the user to manipulate lightwaves. By refracting light, the user can effectively blind the enemy, whether it be with a bright flash of light, or making an illusion of oneself by skewing the enemy's vision. This ability only works on the user's self, and anything that the user is touching.
