I'm going to delete the post of the character profiles on the main RP thread and post them here. This is the place for you to update your characters for the Amulets and Guardians RP only.

Generally Important Information: A lost identity...
History: Came from a village that was attacked by foreigners when she was just a child and part of a few survivors from the so-called Medullia Massacre. Naoko wanders around the world, searching for the few survivors from her village in order to gather the elemental master. However, she doesn't realized that she is an elemental spirit, the Mistress of the Void and sometimes reveals her true powers under high pressure. An outsider from most societies because of the mixture of her human features and strange abilites, Naoko is quiet, and distances herself from others. However, she's a good listener, and will help out anybody who is in danger. Her main goal, however, is searching for her elder brother, who abandoned her to take revenge against the very people who destroyed their village 16 years before...

Kelwyn

Generally Important Information: Possesses the Earth/Life Amulet. (Who's name is Tera) The abilities she has discovered so far are: Vine Armor, Cure (minor healing), and the ability to pass through/into earth,rock, etc. (what would you call this one?).
History: Daewyn has been an orphan since she was a small child. Growing up alone in the streets, she turned to stealing to survive. She maintained an innocent demeanor (which ironically aids her thievery) and a spunky personality (bordering on ADHD! ) despite her tough life. Daewyn is at that awkward age where she still behaves like a child most of the time, but can demonstrate maturity under pressure.


Gwyn Masamune

Generally Important Information: He is somewhat of a lonewolf, and constantly is with his drake CaranᲮ With his amulet, he sensed a disturbance in the temple where the ongoing War of the Dragons occured. (As a Dragoon, he is mindful of such things). He immediately went to investigate.
History: He has trained in the class of the dragoon since birth, as his family comes from a long line of dragoons. He found the mind amulet Kain in a dragon's horde one day after he had subdued the dragon in the cave. This was his coming of age test as a Dragoon.

Generally Important Information: A wandering mage that was banished from his hometown because he went crazy and killed many people. Has a strange aura about him and sometimes, when he gets angry enough, he will go crazy and do massive destruction.
History: He was sent by his parents to a small, magic town to increase his skills because it was seen that he had great power. However, before he could learn to control his power, he was banished. Now Bryce searches for a meaning in life and information about his parents.
Weapons: Spear and Magic...if that counts

Strengths: Enhanced healing, Enhanced capabilities, Element grants enhanced combat capability against far greater foes
Weaknesses: Waxes psychotic with seeming random provocation, Element inhibits combat capability vs weaker foes
Backround: Drafted into a millitary in 2040, experimented on with genetic restructuring, escaped with survivors to an unpopulated planet, unknown plauge had reaction to the genetic manipulation killing most survivors, remaining people rendered immortal until killed, remaining people become mercenaries, in 3099 Tanasha found an odd amulet which she assumed was some kind of PDA (with AI) or something as it is capable of communication despite sounding completely insane, in 3100 they got sucked into random anomaly, they wander around that world for a few hundred years, then get sucked into another anomaly and plopped here. Amusingly enough, the warship (jump-capable) they escaped in somehow managed to make it with them all this way and all this time, as did the dropship they took the warship with. They're spliting-up to examine the world at this point, and Tanasha has heard rumors of vastly similar amulets.

He woke up a week later in Rohing, where he started to train himself, since it was the only thing he knew, and he wanted to make sure his freinds and family didn't died in vein. He has been traveling and training for 5 years. Then he eventualy came back to Rohing. He can't remember past the day he woke up from his coma at the age of 16.[This is where he enters the RP]
Kasiko: Baikasu's Katana. It had given it to him the day he awoke from his coma. His adoptive parents said that he was found with the sword in his hand, with blood all over it. He looked at his sword and looked for an engraving on the second week of being in Baskai Village. The engraving said "Kasiko". He isn't certain weather it was a last, first, or nick name. He has kept it at his side ever since, because it is his only lead to where his real hometown was.

Updating Naoko's profile, as of 3/4/06

Name: Naoko Rolfe

Strengths: Excellent swordsman, sorceress, and limited telepathic
Weakness: Can fall into Melbanic Cyclone, a rare disease befelled upon her as a child, when she uses too much of her energy
Appearance: Long, black hair; red eyes (the trait of a Melbane), black cloak over navy blue longsleeved shirt, black pants, black boots; usually has hood up to keep her eyes low and away from contact with those who despise her kind.

General Information: Wanders around town to town, city to city since her hometown was destroyed sixteen years before. She has never made really good connections with the people outside of her own language due to the past history and fear of Melbanic people. As Mistress of Void, she comes to meetings with other Masters of Elements once a year to discuss underground issues.

History: Sixteen years ago, Naoko's hometown of Melbane was destroyed by a group of excavators and nearby cities who were simply afraid of the Melbane's natural gift of magic. The town used to be kept hidden away from the rest of the world by a seal set by the first Master of Void, Daemon, many centuries ago. However, the excavators had broken the seal. She has since been recovering from the emotional scars of her family and town's demise. Her brother had left her at the age of twelve to go on his own quest for revenge against the "humans" who had destroyed their town and temple so many years past. This is when she began travelling around the world, finding the old cities of her tongue, and learning more about her role as Mistress of Void.

Class: Rogue/Swordsman/Sorceress, Mistress of Void
Primary Abilities: Calling upon Void magic and other high level magic in her realm
Secondary Abilities: Slightly telepathic, high sensitivity to magic, and excellent in swordsmanship
Weapon Class: Shinken, her katana

Special Items: Shinken: Shinken is Naoko's special katana wielded by the first Master of Void centuries before. It has been passed down by her family for generations and now belongs in her hands. The katana tends to have a mind of its own at times, warns Naoko of danger by humming, and won't be usable if in the hands of someone other than its owner (kinda like a shock effect).

Age: (Twenties? Early twenties? I don't remember the original figure.)
Gender: Female
Amulet: Poison
Spirit: Xachta
Strengths: Lithe, quick, driven toward self-preservation
Weakness: Undereducated, at the bottom edge of middling intelligence, prone to snappishness under pressure, relatively inexperienced
Appearance: Straight blonde hair cut along the jawline, framing a youthful face with deep green eyes. Dancer's figure, obviously. On the short side.

General Information: Originally joined the party for purely self-serving reasons, but has rapidly been sucked into their fool's mission. She's new enough to still feel like an outsider - hell, she sometimes has trouble keeping track of everyone's names; there's like, what, four hundred party members? However, in a somewhat unconscious nod to the tentative truce between Xachta and Terra, Nida has tried to strike up a friendship with Daewyn. Xachta has issues with Daemon - or maybe authority in general - and Nida tries hard not to let that bleed over into her dealings with Naoko.

History: Nida trained as a dancer in her home village. The dancer sort of filled the vaguely bardic role, so she's got some other generic performance abilities. However, certain students are lucky and skilled enough to also be trained as Dancers, a combat class whose abilities can dominate the entire field, with the drawback of a lack of directable focus. Nida went on her journeyman's trek six years ago; after a year, trip completed, she headed for home... only to learn that it had been razed to the ground. (She has not revealed if she is from Baskai Village, Baikasu's home. The timeframe seems about right.) She's wandered since, hoping to find her mother (if she's still alive) and hooking up with groups to keep herself sheltered.

Primary Abilities: Dance (usually relying on the dance magic to be drawn from the local terrain, but capable of using her own energy to power specific dance effects)

Amulet: Fire (I suppose)
Spirit: (gotta look this up - I'm just trying to figure out where the characters are physically, as I don't want to metagame)
Strengths: Headstrong when it suits her, she can be a very determined and loyal companion. More than a little self-sacrificing (though rarely without good reason), she puts her all into all of her endeavors which strike her as important.
Weakness: She's slow to heal - healing magic has little effect on her, as in it might shut a wound, but it won't restore lost blood. Even if healing magic may close a wound, it will still persist to be injured and may open if she acts too quickly after being healed. Additionally, she also has hemophilia B (I know, as a girl what are the chances, but hey, she's just that unlucky).
Race: kitsune hengeyoukai (mod: has animal form, and human form, and a hybrid form, the appearance of which shall be as specified in posts)
Eyes: red-brown (sepia)
Hair: dark to light brown, somewhat based on the lighting (natural highlights)
height: 5'3"
Clothes: A white, slightly painted mask covers her face. Her exposed (human) ears are pierced multiple times(see art). A dark charcoal turtleneck is pulled over her black tank-top. Maroon half-fingered gloves cover up to her elbows beneath the turtle neck sleeves. Olive green cargo pants fit loosely, held up by a tattered black belt with twin rows of holes on it, alternating metal loops in each. Black combat boots cover her feet, and a thick black scarf completes the outfit. She does, however, wear other clothes which, like her hybrid form, will be specified in posts.

Bio/personality: Not a child in spirit, Verdis has experience much loss in her lifetime, and has seen the bad in all. Many have died before her, though not all at her hand, and yet somehow she keeps moving on, seeming to distance herself from others to try and avoid the addition of scars to her memory. She carries herself in a less than aloof manner, not being completely anitsocial. She empathizes quite well, so much that she has to shut herself off, or at least fake doing so.
Not a native of Tudival, she was drafted into the ranks of Reika's army by the rather fiery general. However, she spent much time doing covert operations and spywork, and is therefore not very familiar with the territory.

  • Physical appearance: Small and petite. Has chin-length, straight reddish-brown hair and emerald green eyes. Only 4'10" tall.
  • Clothing: Depends on what she's managed to steal this week. She favors dark colours in browns, blacks, and dark greens. She is currently wearing dark green trousers, a black, long sleeved shirt a little too big for her, sturdy leather travelling boots, and a dark grey, hooded cloak over all.
  • Equipment:Has a leather bag always belted around her waist. A pair of leather gauntlets are strapped to her wrists. They have retractable blades which pop out from the back of her hand when she triggers a hidden release mechanism.


Special/Innate Abilities:
  • Steal - nimble fingers lift the possessions of others without their noticing... if it works.
    "It's always easier to slit the purses of the rich ones. They have so much money they rarely notice it missing in time."
  • Chemist - life on the street was rough, so one learns to glean from the stories of others.
    "Smelly Pete two blocks down used to say if you tossed together two laurel leaves and a pinch of snuff, it would throw the guards' attack dogs off your scent."
  • Small Arms proficiency - can use small daggers and throwing knives well.
    "Ol' Man Knoles used to be an assassin for hire. He taught me everything he knew."
  • Streetwise Anatomy - a well-placed dagger to the right part of the body will be more crippling than a random blow.
    "Scarlet from Madame Ceries place always hid a dagger between her sheets and would stab a customer in the throat if he started getting too rough."


Amulet Abilities:
  • Vine Armor - Vines sprout from the amulet around Daewyn's neck to wrap her body with tough, flexible vines which protect her as a suit of leather armor would.
  • Cure - use energy from surrounding plantlife to stabilize major wounds and provide pain relief and minor healing.
  • Earth Meld - the ability to pass through earth and various types of rock and minerals at will, as if swimming through water.
  • Stone Cage - encases the victim in bars of solid rock. The size and strength depends on the type of stone available to work with as well as the amount of concentration/time spent creating the structure.
  • Boulder Toss - lob stones of various sizes through the air at your foes.
  • Sandstorm - create a sandstorm from the earth nearby. This causes no major damage to the victims, but allows the party to escape from a difficult foe with minimal chance of discovery. Obscures all five natural senses.


Limit Breaks:
  • Earthquake - sunder the ground beneath your enemies.
  • Life of Gaia - convert energy from local plantlife to heal all wounds of one character

Generally Important Information: Possesses the Earth/Life Amulet. The guardian spirit of this amulet is named Terra, a woman who long ago sacrificed her body and freedom to protect... what? Daewyn is most likely
the long-lost sister of Bryce Highwind, whose name is Rayne Highwind.

History: Daewyn has been an orphan since she was a small child. Growing up alone in the streets, she turned to stealing to survive. She maintains an innocent demeanor, able to curtsy to you after lifting your
wallet. She's very energetic and upbeat, and tends to wander off on her own if she gets impatient or bored. Daewyn is at that awkward age where she still behaves like a child most of the time, but can demonstrate
maturity under pressure. Most of her motivations at this point in her life are largely self-centered, but she also tends to try to look out for people who she cares about. When she was very small, she was found wandering
the streets alone at night by an old, retired assassin everyone knew as Ol' Man Knoles. He took pity on the poor girl and took her in, protecting her and teaching her what he thought she needed to survive. When he found
her she was approximately six years old (her true age is not known to her, nor her birthday) and had absolutely no memory of who she was or how she had gotten there.
