Most people here can detect size 0 font as well, as another precaution.

Mhm, true dat, you could hang around in here in your butler roles too, but it helps if you're caught in another RP like right now and people still want to be served by your character in the cafe~ Also, it would give people sort of a 'homebase' to see the different types of butlers/maids, and come in there to request one of their services; think of it as the actual cafe building, I guess... Like if it were some fastfood restaurant chain with the actual restaurant being over there in the RP forum, and there'd be an on-the-go/drive-through booth here in the thread if you already know what you want and just want something quick xD /shot for bad metaphor

I liked Amu's suggestion for a name and the character type actually, although I'm thinking you could also mix it up to be even more stereotypical, and do something like Darkest Yokubou or Kurai Desires xd Just the Japanese title is awesome too though emotion_kirakira As for outfits, I'm thinking there should be some kind of uniformity so you can see they're all part of the team, but at the same time each outfit should be modded to fit the specific character type or something like that?

Also, once it's set up properly, I think you should either remove those few discussion posts on the first page or edit them to contain an actual information-about-the-cafe section; if you do that, it might be a good idea to have every butler/maid get in a post on the first page to introduce themselves (they can just make it a bump post until they work out their character)... Or you throw every butler/maid in one post and call it the menu or something like that, to stick with the theme xD (or two posts, one for butlers and one for maids... might be easier if you recruit more peoples later, plus target demographics since guys will most probably want a maid to serve them and girls in most cases a butler so that separation would make it easier to see your choices emotion_awesome)

For now there are five of us, so I was thinking of putting a theme to the group, kinda like Amu's Darkest Desires (yes I intentionally phrased it this way emotion_awesome), but something a little more loose that can give us freedom to interpret it, like a season or an element of nature (rain, sunshine, etc) or cards (Jack, King, Queen, Ace?) or gods or characters of a certain mythology, or precious stones even. It could be a seasonal thing, or we could get one theme and stick with it and just modify with events. That would also help with the uniformity.
Moving this to the discussion thread. ninja I like the idea of a theme. Cards would be good since there's a lot of them and we wouldn't feel bound to a certain amount of people. 3nodding We could each have our own calling card (Ace of Clubs, Queen of Hearts, Jack of Spades, Deuce of Diamonds, etc.), and clients could pick the card of the butler/maid they want. As for the name... If Darkest Desires is used too much, we could go with the Japanese title Kurai Yokubõ Cafe, or we could call it Black Desires Butler Cafe Kuro Yokubõ Shitsuji Cafe (I don't really know Japanese, so may be off with the grammar) as kind of a nod to Black Butler. Or in reference to cards, Black Jack Cafe... Good assonance and alliteration in that one, of course it also kind of makes it sound like a gambling joint... sweatdrop

I don't know about you guys, but equality is something I'd like to see~ Elements and gods kind of restrict themes (I think) . . . we could try it though. Precious stones . . . . maybe as a decoration? Or *whatever genius idea you have here*~

......but I like being the only maid! crying and plus, the mythological idea isn't that restrictive. There are so many different myths from all over everywhere, plus, there are humans and not just gods, goddesses and demi-gods in them. Plus....I figure that if we use that, it can easily be modified to follow the seasons. We could have characters based on myth, but the theme in the cafe could switch, just like in Ouran High School Host Club. Except it is a theme for each season, not every single day.

hmmm..... Well, my Character's name is from Japanese Mythology... She is one of the two gods, Inazami and Izanagi, and according to Japanese Myth, they created the Japanese islands in the middle of the ocean.
Maybe we can still use the Dark aspect....but maybe more in setting, rather than in characters. I quite like the idea of using Mythology....Though, I think it'd be very interesting if what we did is we named our characters after Gods, Goddesses and possibly important human characters from mythology. But instead of using just the stories they are part of as the basis for their character, we can also do what I did. I took the meaning of Inazami (Female who invites) and twisted it about slightly, to mean that I tempt people, I invite them with my actions and silky-sexy demeanor. But, how about we make the interpretation of the names/stories a darker. That way we can have even more to play with, not just the mythology, but name meanings as well.
I'll have to go find a new suggestion for a name, though....hmmmmm....maybe "Darkened Myth"? (Kurai Shinwa in Japanese) I mean....we are creeper butlers/maid....so we will be dark anyway...

Next--yeah, I included gods/goddesses/myths in the suggestion because of your char's name cat_3nodding It would be nice mixing in the western butler concept with eastern stuff. And yes of course, we make it darker. We could even take an originally harmless character and make it darker, the way they do it with certain fairy tales.
"Darkened Myth" might sound a little too obvious...putting "Shadows" in the name doesnt give off a very butler-y feel. I dunno...the Gray Earl/Lord/God or something (reference to Earl Grey tea emotion_awesome LOL cat_xd)

hmmmmm....Lightless Moon? Moons are mythical and lightless implies darkness...(Hikari no nai mūn in japanese) or maybe....Mythic Shadows? (Shinwa no kage in japanese) The name should, at least I think, imply what is inside. I mean, you have Megane Cafes, anime themed cafes (their names are so not butler-y....XD)....so a name that does not exactly sound perfect is okay.
Also. I think we'll need to delete our posts discussing ideas in the rp thread....so people can't read them....because really, we shouldn't discuss the inner workings in the thread...^_^;; kinda my fault, that....
