She was tired. It was strange to feel tired because of this.
Sighing, Candace pushed herself to stand on her own and stumbled forward a few steps. What time was it? How long had she been working today?
The darkness outside of the room told her how long. All day long. Outside the large window was completely pitch bla--
...Wait..that wasn't a large window...
Candace stopped and stared at the missing wall, eyes wide and jaw dropped. The <********>?! The entire wall was gone! How was this building still...?! What the hell!? How did this happen!? Who during the raid did this?! This was just...what..what was even...oh hell no did she have to clear this ******** place out again? Her room better not have been ******** with or she was going to be pissed. She leaned heavily against a wall that was still standing and closed her eyes. She was tired, exhausted, and she had finally gotten the hang of her new temporary routine. Work during the day, maybe take the occasional nap, and sleep at night...or have a life at night if anyone was awake. Candace had a feeling she was going to be spending a lot of time alone for awhile...nothing unusual, it was something she had been used to before coming to Deus. She looked up and down the hall, frowning quietly and pushing off the wall to begin heading down the hall. What to do...it'd been a few days since she actually slept, huh? The first couple days she had spent her breaks in the same room just keeping track of time and occupying herself by writing notes or heading down to the containment cells. Not tonight. Tonight Candace wanted to sleep, but the dorms were so ******** far away. She stumbled a bit, bracing herself on a wall and holding her head.
When was the last time you ate...?
Um...I don't know? I've been busy. Not like this is the first time.. Candace shrugged and pushed off the wall again. It was true. Candace had a habit of getting tunnel vision when she had something that needed to be done. She put forth all of her concentration into getting it done. Pfft, putting relationships over getting missions done. Caelius didn't know what he was talking about. But food could wait, Candace needed to sleep and the dorms were clear across the grounds. ********! There was an alternative! There was an office here left unlocked that she could just go in and sleep on the couch! H wouldn't care, he let her roam wherever he liked, encouraging her to even go through his things. Candace couldn't help but feel like that was a test, like he was setting her up..oh well. Maybe one day she'd test that theory. For now? There was a couch calling to her, one that she happily made her way through the labs to get to.
Upon entering the doctor's office Candace sighed happily and closed the door behind her, leaning back against it and admiring the view outside.
The view..?
"Holy s**t!" She pressed back harder against the door and just stared out toward the place where a wall should have been. How the ******** was this place standing!? After the initial shock of the wall being gone wore off she stepped away from the door to approach the open space, looking out the wall and tilting her head to one side. Huh...it was a nice view. There had been a huge window here before but...maybe if he made the entire thing just one huge window pane. That'd be cool.
Candace looked back at the desk behind her, approaching it and lightly trailing her fingers along the edge of it as she circled around it once. Finally she sat down in the seat, humming quietly to herself. H wasn't here, and she wasn't in here without him around very often...much less without him finding out quickly. She was so tired but she still had a job to do. Did he have any..? Oh! A legal pad! She loved these! Now to just...find a page he hadn't written on yet. She glanced over the used pages, finally just taking out the final page furthest in the back and placing the pad back where she'd found it. A pen was grabbed and the woman sat back comfortably in the chair. It wasn't an official report form but it'd do for now until she felt like looking for one. Lazy, thy name is Candace. She'd just jot down notes for now so she wouldn't forget later.

Day 3 4? Need to recount
Testing so far is successful.
Slipping in unnoticed has gone perfectly even with the handicap of a lack of knowledge and rushed for time in preparation.
No one has grown suspicious of deviations in subject's normal disposition and regular behaviors thanks to the excuse of memory loss.
They believe the subject was so tortured and traumatized idiots that she created a mental block. This is both pitifully easy to work with as well as increasingly frustrating.
I have yet to have more than a few minutes to myself. Do teenage boys not know the meaning of ******** privacy? It makes learning anything about the subject so as to show sparks of “progress” rather difficult when I cannot get a moment to think or investigate the subject's surroundings.
Judging by how calm he is when the subject awakens I believe it's safe to say the breathing movements when the user is taking a break are working fine.
Movement otherwise seems generally normal so far. Golem is sluggish and appears frail. Think that is to be expected for now.
This reminds me that I do not miss high school okay
I'd like to mention again how easy it was to slip in unnoticed. I don't think anyone has even the slightest clue. They are determined to get the collar off, however. This might prove troublesome despite the task being impossible.
Oh. Certain magics seem to work on the golem. Do they work on regular golems..?

Candace suddenly found herself reading the same line over and over again, not because it held any sort of significance to her but because she just...was reading it again and again. She was tired.
Sleep, dearest.
Fine, fine... The paper was left sitting on H's desk as she stood from the chair and made her way to the couch. Her coat was removed before she flopped onto the couch and curled up on her side, using the coat as a makeshift blanket. Candace was out in minutes.
There was a light touch against her leg, teasing and playful. In her mostly asleep state Candace assumed it was a bug and swatted at what was touching her, meeting only air. Must have flown off. Stupid wall. She rolled over to face the back of the couch, her back to the rest of the room. The light touch returned, this time following a path from behind her ear and down the side of her neck, finally stopping at her collar bone. Candace lifted a shoulder to try and ward off whatever was touching her. There was a low chuckle from a masculine voice as a pair of lips brushed against her cheek, soon followed by the scrape of stubbled facial hair and the teasing touch of long, practiced fingers playing along her side. "Candace." A voice whispered into her ear. She shivered on instinct, biting down on her lip and purring a bit as she stretched out a bit more cooperatively. It wasn't the first time she'd woken up to this. "Wake up, my plum. You're late."
Those two words alone were enough. Candace bolted upright, eyes wide and panicked as she looked up at Doctor H. Late!? Wh..what?! She grabbed her phone, finding the alarm she'd set had gone off almost two hours ago. "s**t!" She tried to stand only to find herself forced to sit again by a gentle but firm hand on her shoulder. There was suddenly a piece of toast held near her mouth.
"Open up and say ah, sweet Candy." She tried to stand again and found herself forced back onto the couch a second time.
"But--" It wasn't the 'ah' he'd asked for but the open mouth was enough for the doctor to stick it in her mouth.
"Now chew." Candace obeyed and even took the toast herself, nibbling at it with her eyes on her phone. "Good girl. Don't be so stupid you forget to eat just because you're busy." The doctor walked away to pick up the paper Candace had left on his desk. He read it, even the lines she had crossed out with a single line through them. "Certain magics?" H arched a brow and looked Candace's way. She chuckled.
"Some association called DETH. Kind of like the PETA of Halloween for humans, I guess. Or something like that." She shrugged. "Took the kids on a field trip. Told them to hug five humans, forced them into human disguises. It worked on the subject, which surprised me...they took us to a mall." Candace grinned and soon sighed, eating some more toast. "Wish I could've kept the shoes."
Making a small noise the doctor looked away again to read over her quickly scribbled notes once more. "...Hm."
"Hmmm~?" Candace was distracted by her breakfast.
"If this is too much for you we can arrange for someone else to--"
"No." Her fingers tightened around the toast, eyes narrowing as she chewed and swallowed her bite. "I can do it. Don't even ******** try. I just needed to sleep...and eat..I'll be fine. He's just so ******** annoying. Won't leave me alone, won't stop complaining he was so weak oh boo ******** hoo. He sits there when she goes to bed, he's there when she wakes up, he's there when she sneezes with tissues made of the finest silks." The last part was a massive exaggeration but her point remained.
The doctor couldn't help but smile cruelly. "He sounds like a typical loyal and protective boyfriend. Is that something you're not used to, Candace?" Candace nearly growled. "You can leave after you finish your breakfast. I'll be keeping this." He waved the paper and then tucked it away safely in one of his desk drawers. Candace sighed and leaned over to curl up on her side again, her head on the arm of the couch. a*****e. She looked down at the toast and a small plate of sausages and an omelet that had been set on the coffee table. Okay...maybe not so much but..
...Thoughtful a*****e.
The rest of her breakfast was eaten without anymore protest. The doctor was given a more pleasant thank you before she left and quickly hurried back to her pod. ********, ********, ********. She really hoped she wouldn't have to sit through a panic when she 'woke up'.
