The Center Guard
Atop the endless steps stood a few guards adorned with metal jewelry and headbands. It was evident that these were of higher rank than the ones you had just fought. The one nearest your group sees you, and pounces!
250 HP
How to Battle
Read this because some parts have changed from before.
We will be using this simplified battle system throughout Part II of the event.
You are entering this room with the same HP, items, and status condition (if any) that you had when you left your group's first thread.
Your Pokemon has 100 HP, no matter what stage they are, and HP/ATK bonuses of the normal battle system will not be used. If you don't have a Pokemon, you will be fighting with whatever weapon you picked up throughout this portion of the event, and you will also have 100 HP.
This boss bidoof has 250HP.
Roll 2 6-sided dice to attack. The first die is your attack, and the second one is how much your opponent attacks you for. Keep track of your own HP in each post, and your opponent's.
Your Hit: 1: Miss 2-5: Hits for 10 HP 6: Critical Hit of 20 HP
Opponent's Hit: 1: Miss 2: The bidoof poisons you for 5HP, and an additional 5HP on top of normal damage for every turn after that. You may choose to use a lum berry on your next turn, in which case you will not take damage from poison on that turn (just normal atk damage). 3-5: Hits for 10 HP 6: Critical Hit of 20 HP
These are turn based battles. Your first posts will determine post order. When it is your turn, you may attack, or use an item. Everyone in your party must post before it is your turn again.
You can use an item on yourself, or someone else in your party instead of attacking. Your opponent will still attack you, though, so Roll 1 6-sided die to see how much you got attacked for.
You cannot repel a boss bidoof.
If someone in your group has not replied for 3 hours, you may skip their turn for the battle. You will be entered in a raffle at the end of the battle with how many turns you have taken as your number of tickets. This is to prevent someone sitting out of the battle to avoid fainting and only coming in at the end.
If you hit 0 HP, you are too tired to continue battling and will have to sit out of battles until someone uses a Revive on you, or wait until the end of the random event (when someone rolls a new random event). If someone else's HP hits 0 and is not revived, their turn is skipped for the remainder of the battle, and they do not get to try to capture a Pokemon for the battle. Since this is a boss battle, you will most likely have to depend on yourself for healing because every person out gives everyone else a higher chance to capture the boss.
If everyone faints, you must go back to your first room :< If your group fails to defeat the bidoof before part 2 ends, it will be released to wreck havoc on all the other groups. >___>
Natalie jumped when a Bidoof jumped out when she entered the room. This Bidoof looked different from the two she encountered in the other rooms. "Dusty, this Bidoof looks tough, I think you should use signal beam."
"Emolga!" Dusty carefully aims a signal beam at the Bidoof.
"What, another one?!" Ai demanded tiredly. This one looked different... It had a really odd sense of fashion, for starters... "Just... get rid of it, Kumiko."
Kumiko gulped, his eyes wide and staring. This bidoof looked pretty tough... Did he really have to fight it?! But when he looked back at Ai for reassurance, he saw that she really wasn't kidding. All he wanted was to take a nap, and maybe snuggle a little... With a sad little mewl, he zoomed over to the guard to try and please Ai.
Cetus gawked. What a color . . . what accessories! Screw the rules and take all the money she had! She wanted that doof! Unfortunately, that powerful bugger didn't seem to want anything to do with her. It was charging at her Marowak and though she didn't give him a command, he took up an offensive stance ready to strike at it.
Alice gasped and stared in awe. The bidoof is adorn with headdress and has a wing like pattern on it's fur.
Alice then smirked.
"Well, the thing isn't going to faint on it's own." Alice then pointed towards the bidoof.
"SHOPTLIGHT SHIMMER!"
Shimmer moves towards the front of her owner and growls at the bidoof. "I'm sorry brother mine." Shimmer felt a little bit of sadness but knew that this is a partnership she wants to keep.
"Headbutt, Shimmer!"
Shimmer headbutt the boss but the boss hit back, doing a little damage.
Out of the poffin pan and into the fire. She had thought they were cute when she'd first seen them, but at this point Fin though she'd be perfectly content if she never saw a Bidoof again.
These Bidoof were different, though. Accessorized. Jewelry, headbands, perhaps even body paint, if those weren't natural markings. Fin grinned for a moment, raising a hand to her own earrings, then to the purple Lugia tattoo blossoming below her left shoulder. Kindred spirits, maybe. Nevertheless, they stood between her and the way out. The trainer grit her teeth and set Caddie on the floor. "Go get 'em, girl! Present!"
...
Caddie bounced forward and launched one of her cheerfully-wrapped gifts at the Bidoof. It exploded as it struck the other Pokémon, knocking the Bidoof back a bit. The critter charged and swung at Caddie in retaliation, but the Delibird dodged it, albeit by tripping over her own feet and skidding backward toward her trainer.
"Nice one, Caddie!" Fin chuckled, bending forward to look down at her silly bird. Caddie cooed in appreciation, clapping her flippers together. "Up and at 'em!"
Kumiko whimpered and swatted the bidoof squarely in the face, but in return the bidoof bit his paw and managed to poison him. He backed off, and flew, crying, into Ai's arms.
"Come on, you can't quit now," Ai scolded, dumping the mew back into the air. "Get back there and fight. You're a pokemon; it's your job to kill things when I tell you to."
((OH AI. YOU DON'T KNOW HOW POKEMON WORKS. ;___; ))
This fashionista doof was tougher than it appeared. A complete assault from group one (which Cetus had decided on a whim, just because, though she didn't understand why the little voice in her head told her so) hadn't even weakened it. Though she was slightly glad the Plump Mouse Pokemon wasn't down for the count and twitching for life, Cetus was a bit worried it might hurt the others . . .
"Mat, I um, oh-!"
Mat was charging at it again with a Skull Bash. Between the moment of her hesitation and her Marowak's jump into the fight, Cetus caught the barest hint of a smug grin. The shiny Ground-type was enjoying the fight. Weird psycho-sadist Pokemon . . .
Kumiko refused to attack the frightening bidoof, instead curling up on the ground and covering his face with his paws in terror. The poisoned wound throbbed and he felt himself weaken.
"Kumiko..." Ai began angrily. "I'm going to count to three, and if you don't get back there and kill the bidoof by the time I reach three..." She trailed off ominously.
Poor Kumiko felt as if the entire world were falling down around his ears. He didn't want to disappoint Ai, but he was afraid...
Mat grounded his hind leg against the ground, kicking up dust behind him as he geared himself into overdrive. He was preparing another Skull Bash without Cetus's consent. As he charged towards the center guard at full force hoping to land his attack dead on for a critical, Cetus cried out.
"Oi, Mat!" Cetus shouted, stomping her heel against the temple floor. "Mat, don't attack without my command!"
Mat stopped halfway through his attack and turned his head towards the Galactic grunt. He snorted an expectation, even quirking a brow in a frustrated, "Well?" if he had one.
"Oh, Mat, don't look at me like that. I'm doing the hard part here, giving you commands! Use Bonemerang!"
Mat blanched than sneered. Stomp-hobbling up behind her, the shiny Marowak pushed at her knees than offered his free hand out to the distance separating the duo and the wild Bidoof. He didn't say anything, but his point came across as clear as crystal in a spring, "Okay, showoff. Show me how its done."
Well, let's just say this didn't work off well for the two. They began to bicker and bark as they always did. The Bidoof, rolling its eyes, charged at Mat when it realized he wouldn't attack. Punted against the wall, Mat cursed in Pokemon language at his owner and swiveled his femur in the air.
Cetus huffed. "That wouldn't happen if you just listen to me!" The squabble continued . . .
