 Maera made her way out of the glen, away from her still grieving Chosen and off towards the little lake she had found on her way. Her plate size hooves began to sink into the wet ground as she neared, making a neat little "PLOP" as she picked them up. The violet eyed draft sighed as she bent to take a drink, her mane falling into her face, though she really didn't mind. Her mind wandered to when she and Charli had split ways. Charli, had felt the Call from somewhere else.. and she.. Well Aila had needed her, so she stayed. But that didn't help the little longing in Maera's chest, the longing for the only parental figure she could remember. But that was months ago. She needed to move on... Make friends with those that were in Aila's glen... even if she was the only draft there... She felt so alone...

 It was days after the day that Lex had told Topsy that he would have to go to visit his sister for her wedding that the stallion felt like he needed to leave the safety of the lush green pastures that he had always grown up upon. Things were different now. Living alone for two weeks, Topsy knew that something was wrong - Lex should have been home by now. "He's probably just busy after the wedding and stuff..." he thought sarcastically. Something told him that it was much more than that though. Lex would have never left his azrein alone for so long.
He had stood, waiting under his favorite tree for so long that he couldn't wait anymore. Jumping over the pasture fencing, the stallion looked back to his home and trudged forward. This was now his life - free, but would be willing to return to Lex if they ever met again.

Maera waded through the water, letting the cool liquid wash over her back, warmed by the sun's rays. She let out a small whinny, as she climbed ashore on the other side and shook the excess water off. Water had always been a delight for her. She sent a silent message to Aila that she would soon be back and not to worry, as she trotted forward, wondering if she might run into anyone else that wouldn't look upon her gigantic size in fear. She trotted for what seemed like hours under the sun, but was only perhaps thirty or so minutes before she saw a speck on the horizon. Could it be another azrein? She waited, just in case it was a foul mooded one.

He did have the urge to look back after almost every step that he made, but that would only make him want to return to the place where he would possibly never see the one that he loved and cared for anymore. At the top of a hill, his ears twitched around, thinking that he had heard some noise. Could it be? Nah, it wasn't his chosen.
Looking down, he had learned that his ears were in fact correct. There was someone there, alone. Another azrein perhaps? Why was it all alone though, was what he wondered, but remembered that he too was travelling this journey alone. Rearing up to his hind legs, he gave out a friendly whinny, not knowing what the stranger would do. Only time would tell.

Hearing the friendly whinny, Maera trumpeted back, her mane flowing out behind her. She waited until the other approached close enough to hear words before she spoke. "Good day, Stranger." She said warmly, her head erect as she studied the other beast. He was colored similarly to her, only brown and cream. She could immediately tell that he wasn't a draft, but his mane and tail were long, like hers, and he had brilliantly colored blue eyes. Maybe he could accept her? "What brings you out so alone this day?" She asked.

So he was right! It was another azrein. "Hello." he replied, giving a small bow in respect. 'Always treat the females right Topsy.' Lex would always tell him. "I'm just trying to find my Chosen, but it seems like he ha gone missing for a long time."
He stepped one step forward. "And what brings you out here? Oh, I'm Topsy."

Maera smiled at the charming male. "My name is Maera. I am looking for an old friend. Perhaps you've seen him? He's yellow with green circles? A Draft like me? His name is Charli." She asked softly, wondering if the big brute was still around these parts or not.
"I'm sorry to hear that your Chosen is missing. Can you not feel him through the Bond?" She asked after a moment, quickly checking to make sure she knew where Aila was. South.. just where she had left her.

Unfortunately, he has to disappoint her. "I'm sorry Maera... but I haven't seen any other creature around except for the both of us." He shook his head and then turned his head around, trying to see if there was any trace of the missing stallion anywhere. Nothing. "Though if I do ever meet him, I would remind him that a certain mare is waiting for him."
"It looks like we're both looking for a close friend, huh? But no, Lex's bond with me was been empty for days."
