How many of you are into decoden? I recently discovered it, and I've been hoarding youtube tutorials. I think I'm going to make my first decoden project when I get paid this coming Friday. whee

Feel free to show off your project and chat!

I found those cute whipple kits on Amazon for only $10. So, I think I might buy one when I get paid. 4laugh

The whipple kits are great practice and intro into decoden as the whipped cream is water soluble, so you can redo pieces for more practice.
However, if you guys are planning on using the whipple kit cream for decoden gifts/shop products, please don't! eek

I bought a few kits months ago to test out and when I checked on the whipple foods just the other day, all the cream parts had shrunk/cracked and some of the 2-sided pieces such as the macaroons fell apart due to the shrunken whipple cream. crying

However, after I used all the whipple cream, I cleaned out a whipple cream bag, let it air dry, squeezed all the air out, and then filled it with silicone caulk so that I'd have an easy way of using silicone caulk to do my decoden.

When I'm not using it, I keep the whipple icing bag cap on, and wrap the tip in saran wrap and rubber bands to keep a tight seal so it doesn't harden.

Occasionally I'll use a small metal star-shaped icing tip from the baking aisles of food/craft stores.
I just tape it on the tip of the whipple bag and use it like normal.
And when I'm done, I just wipe out as much caulk as I can from the metal icing tip and let the rest dry to later peel/scrape out.

This was something I tried showing you guys during one of the tinychat streams~

The bracelets finally cured and are ready for me to wear this weekend at an anime convention x3

Way too adorable, love the bracelet! How did you make it, if you don't mind me asking?

I like to do decoden, though I'm not very good at it. Here's one of my first iphone 4 cases I did. And you can't really see the piping since I used a clear material but here's a closeup.

Thanks!

I pretty much piped out the silicone around a can of Arizona Tea and decorated accordingly.

It took a week for the bangle to cure enough for me to take it off the can and I had to let it sit a few days more so that the side that was touching the can finish curing.

Since the circumference of the can was a little too big for my tiny wrists and hands, I piped some more silicone on the inside of the bangle to make it smaller on the inside (and to also hide the underside as it wasn't a very flattering view.

For the bracelet, I piped a simple decorative line of silicone around the Arizona Tea can.
After it cured, I cut into it to peel it off, trimmed it to a decent length that suited me, superglued a few jump rings with a bracelet closure and covered the superglued area with more silicone.

I also did a whipped cream dollop ring and earring studs by piping them onto the Arizona Tea can.

I'm in the process of making a whipped cream bracelet for one of my dolls just to see if it'd work lol

Thank you, I tried my hardest to make this case but it still doesn't look good enough to me.
Only the tart base and the cookie are molds I bought, they're called "Mousse-chan Fuwa Fuwa " a lot of stores tend to sell them.

But the rest of the pieces on the phone are actually made and decorated by me.
