Barton Theater Role-Playing Rules and Guidelines  Welcome to the Barton Theater! Here is where you'll be getting into character. You can be creative and invent someone you've always thought of being, or someone entirely opposite of that.
BT is mainly composed of original stories that you create, but there can also be spin-offs or references to an on-going event or series, within reason. I'll get to that later.
As a member, it is your responsibility to recognize the rules and make sure to follow them. I don't wanna have to get you banned. This also ensures that you are posting complies with what the thread entails.

 General Posting GuidelinesPlease be sure to follow the Terms of Service and Rules and Guidelines here, as in all forums. Common violations to avoid: Sexually explicit content. Posting, requesting, distributing, or offering sexually explicit material is not permitted anywhere on Gaia. Sexually explicit content includes explicit photographs, text, artwork, video, or cybersex conversations.
Spam. Posts that are gibberish, off-topic, contain advertisements or begging, or have low or no content are considered spam. Please ensure that your posts are on topic and contain an appropriate amount of discussable content.
Flaming & trolling. Posts directed at another member which are hateful, abusive, or intentionally inflammatory are considered flaming. Making intentionally inflammatory or provocative posts to incite responses from other members is considered trolling.
Terms of Service violations may result in a warning or a ban on your account. If you find Terms of Service violations, or threads that may need moved to a different forum, please use an appropriate report. The procedures for doing so can be found here.You can find online moderators by following the "View Forum Moderators" link at the top of the forum. Gaia Staff will NEVER ask for your password! Rules & Guidelines for Posting in Barton Theater
 What belongs in Barton Theater?Threads in Barton Theater should be created for the purpose of roleplaying any original story or plot, and or expanding on an on-going series; not meaning you copy it or to infringe on licensed materials.
Roleplays posted here need to have some body, this isn't supposed to be just some chat forum, that's why there's other forums in the guild. This is for the sole purpose of role-playing. All threads created here should have a concept and room for development. Creators should allow others to expand on the idea that is outlined.
Posting RulesNo Cybering
No Cybersex, pretty straight-forward. The appropriate way of getting rid of urges is to refer to here: Gaia-Appropriate Content in Detail
No Explicit Roleplay Encouragement
I realize most of us in the guild are adults, or will be, but the RPs will be "PG-13" anything above should be taken to PMs. If the clothes come off, you better timeskip or take it somewhere private. NOTE: This does not permit cybering.
No Abusive Comments
Don't harrass people. We're all friends here, so we don't needa go around hurting feelings and callin' names.
No Advertising
Advertising, don't do it here, that's what OOC forum is for. Only promote your own rp if you're going to do it here. All other promotions and recruits go to the OOC.
No Hate Based Roleplays
Hate roleplays that are negatively directed towards a Gaia user, race, or sexual orientation. Racism and Sexism automatically gets you kicked out of the RP no buts about it. You will also be reported to the Captain and or Vice Captains, and possibly ejected from the guild. So don't do it.
No "Copycat" roleplays
Do not try to copy the same rp idea that's already been done, make your own! If your rp is a direct copy of someone else's work, you're stealing it. Always give the original owner credit for helping along your idea, or setting the base. This keeps infringement and plagiarism out of the way. Gaia is very serious when it comes to this, and so am I.
Types of Roleplays
School/University Roleplays: Roleplays involving Schools, Universities, Training facilities, anything educational.
Town/Enviroment/Neighborhood: Roleplays involving Family, Friends, Homes, Mansions, places where you live.
Series-Related/Miscellaneous: Roleplays involving TV shows, Movies, Internet Memes, On-going original rp series, Books, Comics, Manga, Anime, any other forms or media or entertainment.
Gaia roleplay advertisement/Threads recruiting other roleplayers/Out of Character threads/General roleplay discussion: TBE
Character profile threads: TBE
Barton Square Commerce: Roleplays involving Bars, Inns, Lounges, Cafes, Taverns and General Hangout spots, also a place for Work related rps, businesses.
Private roleplays intended for a pre-selected group of people only: These are only for a select group, or are among two people privately. Most will be Invitation Only, unless otherwise stated in the recruitment thread.
Threads that are for bumping, randomness, or for other oddities: TBE
