Battle Strength: Close combat, with his swords and without, as in his taijutsu, but definitely much better with his swords. He's also pretty decent at ninjutsu, especially water and ice jutsu due to Isobu, and is smart, keeping his cool in battle. He is an all around great close to mid range fighter. Being a great close to mid range fighter, he has studied greatly, and trained with shinobi who are masters of kenjutsu and taijutsu. As a result, while he is not by any means a master of any kenjutsu or taijutsu, he can recognize almost any technique, and counterattack accordingly.

Weapon Description: A katana, not a normal katana though. This katana is made out of a unique metal, but Atsui knows nothing about it or where it comes from. What Atsui does know, however, is that the sword used to belong to his mother, the daughter of Haku Yuki, and that the blade was passed down to him.
The katana is beautiful, and has been described by many as one of the most beautiful swords they have ever seen. It is four feet long in length, so is easily wielded with one hand, leaving the other free for Atsui to make one handed seals. It has a rectangular tsuba that has a vaguely flame like pattern on the long sides, with a curved line on the short sides, with inward-curved corners with curved slits above and below the blade and a series of curved lines embossed on either side of the blade. The blade, hilt and tsuba are all completely white. Not an ounce of any other color is found on it. The only other color on it is not even located on the sword itself, but the scabbard, which is dark blue.
This sword is sister to another, that is also in possession of Atsui. However this sword is used mainly for offense while the other is used rarely for defense, which is why it is rarely used at all.

Special Abilities:
Freezing: This is almost second nature to Atsui. Because of the special metal the blade is made of he can focus his chakra into it. When he does, it automatically reacts to his Ice Affinity, the entire blade becoming enveloped in a terribly cold white aura. Anything it cuts freezes. If it cuts a person's arm then it becomes covered in ice. The ice can be shattered with a good hit, but eventually the frozen body part will go numb, being completely useless. The same thing happens if his blade, and his opponent's weapon, no matter what weapon it is, clashes. His opponent's weapon becomes covered in ice, along with his arm. Eventually his opponent's weapon will just shatter from all the stress on it.
Tsukishiro no Jutsu (White Moon Jutsu): By calling out the name of this jutsu and slashing the air, a large circle of light will form around a target. When this happens, the circle will freeze everything that touches it. The circle not only freezes the ground but everything within the circle's influence including anything above it, up in the air, creating an extending pillar of light that then freezes all within the circle. Shortly after being frozen, the victim then shatters along with the ice. She is also able to perform this in quick succession and off a wall, launching the beam horizontally.
Hakuren no Jutsu (White Ripple Jutsu): Atsui calls out the name of the jutsu, and four bursts of ice build in front of him forming an arc. From his sword held out, a massive, powerful pure-white wave of ice from his sword is fired at the target, in turn encasing the target in a block of ice and shattering it.
Shirafune (White Sword): Atsui calls out the name of the jutsu, which allows him to gather moisture in the air to the tip of Hyourinmaru to create a blade of ice. This makes it possible to alter the length of the blade. After piercing its target, it continues to freeze any surrounding objects, including the immediate area.
Weapon Location: A thin chain with a snowflake-like clip holds it in place on his back, poking out over his right shoulder.

Weapon Description: This is an exact copy of his sword Hyourinmaru. The only difference is its length. Instead of five feet five inches long like Hyourinmaru, it is slightly shorter at four feet five inches long. It has a blue scabbard just like Hyourinmaru though. Also, while Hyourinmaru is focused more on offense, this sword is focused almost solely on defense.

Jutsu Cancel: Jutsu of certain elements will be dispersed if they meet this sword. Those elements are ice, fire, and water. Of course this only works if the blade of the sword makes contact with the jutsu. They still hurt just as much if Atsui manages to get hit.

╫Character Description╫
Personality: Atsui was very shy, quiet, and reserved as a boy. Even more so after he lost his friend, the day after he graduated from the academy. His trust was hard to gain, but once it was then he was always the best friend anyone could ever want.
Now though, after going through what he has gone through, meeting the people he met, and making the friends he made between being a Genin and now, after he's become a Jounin, Atsui is completely different. His normally shy and quiet demeanor became loud, happy, friendly to all those around him except for his enemies. He is fiercely loyal to his loved ones, and will do anything he can to help them when they are in need of it, even a complete stranger.
When in battle though, his attitude completely changes. He becomes calm, cold. To put it simply, he's icy and merciless. Calculating and... mean. Completely the opposite of his normal joking, loving, happy self. The only exception is if his fight is a sparring match, during which he simply enjoys the thrill of the battle.

╫Background Information╫
Atsui's mother is a member of the Yuki clan from the village known as Kirigakure. She is the secret daughter of the long dead Haku, who kept her existence a secret for her own protection. She was eventually found out though, and escaped to Konoha to escape the wrath of those who hated and feared her clan.
Atsui's mother of course eventually married Atsui's father, who was her third husband, and a jounin, and they had him. Her third son as well, although she never again met the other two after escaping to the Leaf.
After being in Konoha for a few years, before Atsui was born, his mother went on a mission. On that mission, she encountered Isobu, the three tailed demon turtle. She barely scraped by that fight with her life, and was forced to seal the slug inside of herself. The seal, as always, greatly weakened as she was giving birth to Atsui. She did not survive, and the beast was forced to be resealed inside of the young boy.
Atsui has always known of his tenant and the day he first found out of it's power is a day he wishes not to remember. In the forest near Konoha, Atsui was having a walk. He often went on these walks, because he enjoys the quiet time. He definitely needed the time to himself on that particular day, for this walk took place on the day he found out about the deaths of two people he held very dear to his heart. His father on his closes friend. On this walk though, he encountered a group of at least one hundred bandits, who had made a camp nearby, planning to attempt to raid the village which they surely would have failed anyways. He was scared and didn't know what to do. In his fear of the bandits, and his rage and sorrow of losing the only two reasons he had to live, he completely blacked out as the bandits advanced on him. When the boy came to, every last one of the bandits had been slaughtered, with parts of the camp completely destroyed and/or frozen. In his fear Isobu had taken over just a little bit. Atsui quickly made his way back to the village, and vowed never to call upon the turtle's power ever again.
Later on though, Atsui discovered as he went on more and more dangerous missions that he could not keep Isobu suppressed forever so he managed to contact the slug. Through their fighting together, and their conversations, they forged a kind of bond, and a partnership. Thanks to this partnership, Atsui can call upon the turtle's power whenever he wishes, even taking the form of the beast himself. Although Atsui prefers not to use his power, saying that he can't rely on Isobu to do everything for him, that if he cannot take care of himself then he doesn't deserve to be Isobu's Jinchuuriki.
Atsui has a very strange name. For Atsui means hot, and Yuki means snow, so therefore his name means Hot Snow? Very weird, but either way his old friend really got a laugh out of it. Yeah, Atsui never had very many friends in the academy, preferring to train by himself and only having the occasional sparring match with others from his class. His only friend, a beautiful girl who was older than him by a year, became a genin one year before him. They were the best of friends, and proved that opposites do indeed attract, his friend being completely outgoing. Everybody loved her, but for some reason it was Atsui, the loner who always kept to himself, who became her best friend. They were inseparable in the academy.
As luck would have it, once his friend became a genin her sensei was Atsui's father. One year later, he himself finally became a genin. The day he graduated, his friend, who's name by the way was Komaru, gave him a graduation present. Two rings. One with the Hidden Leaf Village's symbol of a leaf that is on every Konoha ninja's headband, which Atsui wears on his right middle finger instead of a headband. And also a ring with the kanji for Yuki written on it which he wears on his right ring finger 雪. He treasures these gifts of hers, the only gifts besides his mother's sword that he has ever received. There was another gift she gave him... but that's a more, uh, "private" gift. The very next day though, Komaru and Atsui's father went on a mission with the rest of their squad. They never returned.
Atsui was devastated. He had last his only friend the very day after he had graduated... and had never gotten the chance to tell the one he had loved what he felt about her. On top of that he had lost his father. Atsui became more reserved than ever, and never got out of his shell to anyone besides his squad members. Atsui also became determined after his friend's death though, determined to become strong enough to protect all those he hold dear. That determination and his devotion to constantly training drove him to become a Chunin at the young age of sixteen, two years after he became a Genin, then a Jounin only one year later, at seventeen years old.
Atsui's training during all of his life, since becoming a genin, has consisted of learning the first nine of ten stages of the Bakemono Tsurugi no Kata from his Jounin, a master of the style, and ninjutsu techniques from his squad mates. Along the way, he also taught himself a taijutsu style, rationalizing that if he should lose his swords, he does not want to be completely defenseless. So, as a Chunin, he requested the hokage that he go on a pilgrimage to the Hidden Rain Village. There, he learned, and very quickly mastered their Hidden Mirror Image Taijutsu. The reason being that he already knew very well how to create afterimages, having mastered the first six stages of Bakemono Tsurugi no Kata at the time. Now he wishes to find the only person who can teach him the last stage of Bakemono Tsurugi no Kata, Kiyoshi Hyuga, so he can completely master the style.
