 After coasting the skies, the stallion decided to take a little break. He was flying around since sunrise, after all. Maybe stopping for a little drink by the lake would do some good. Letting his wings release all of its weight, he slowly and gracefully landed to take a leisurely walk towards the running waters. There wasn't really much for him today, just fly back home and wait for the next day. Oh, how boring his life was. Not even brave enough to fulfill his dream which he could accomplish any day if he weren't so much of a wimp. No one knew of that though.
Leaning over the water to take a sip, his eye wandered back to the skies. You'll never know what would be watching you from up above unless you look up, of course. At least that was his logic. Luckily his thinking did make sense for today though. Eyes squinting still looking up while drinking, fell upon a moving black and blue cloud. Black and blue? "Just another flying azrein." he muttered lifting his head up to observe the stranger. Who cared if he wasn't seen?

 Isabelle sighed in relief as she flew through the skies once more. It was somewhat of a weight off her shoulders to not have to worry about Bhaskar and Hale, they were with the mare Cecelia and her chosen Thalanir and Isa felt very comfortable leaving them there. Having some time to herself again, she did what she could do that her children couldn't, fly. While she had been flying, she saw a stunning azrein across the way and decided to follow, only when he landed did she catch a thermal and rise farther into the sky, trying not to be seen. Though, that didn't really work, seeing as how she was a black dot against the brilliant sunset. With an audible sigh, she realized she had been seen and decided that she might as well land. Picking a spot a little far off, as to not upset the stallion, she landed and walked to where he was by a lake. Approaching him cautiously, "Hello there.." She called out, kindness in her voice.

His eyes followed as the stranger approached, so he casually turned around to see his visitor closer. He would have just stormed off on her, but she did have a nice voice, after all. He was awfully tired of just seeing stallions in his daily life, so this was a change for him. It was a mare. "Hi." he spoke. "Haven't you been told to bow down to royalty?" The question was more of a joke, but to make sure that she understood that, he just gave a little laugh, unsure of what to do.
How embarrassing of how he looked. Hooves covered with mud, wings not yet cleaned, so many things that he had wished he had done before leaving his little place that he called home. "I.. I don't think we met before?" he snorted, wondering why he had never seen her around before, but blech her very dark coat docked some points off her.

With a snort, Isabelle grinned, "The King is not here so there is no need for me to bow." She teased back. Now, she took in his appearance, it seemed he may have been traveling, his wings were unkept and his hooves dirty with mud, but she just mentally shrugged it off. "I don't believe we have, I think I would remember a stallion as regal as yourself." Her voice held laughter as she addressed him. "I'm Isabelle." She said before flashing him a smile.

He felt like completely forgetting about docking those points. They must have had the same mind sense as one another. "Why Miss Isabelle, its a grand pleasure to meet someone who actually knows about my royal lineage around here." Attempting a friendly smile, it turned out rather odd for he wasn't used to showing much emotion to others rather than well, how he usually was. "I'm Regalia by the way."

Her smile remained as she studied him, under all this mess, there was actually an attractive stallion underneath. "Well its a pleasure to meet you. Did you venture too far from you castle and get lost?" She teased. He seemed a little rough around the edges and she wasn't sure if he would take offense to her little joke. Hoping not, she took a few steps towards him but changed course and went to the waters edge and took a long drink, the water was cool and refreshing.

"As a matter of fact, yes and no." He had expected her to come towards him, not the water! Then again, it was just water. As she drank, he preened his feathers, trying to get rid of all the leftover filth from yesterday, enjoying the feeling of the feathers beside his soft muzzle. 'Do.. you look like your wings are somewhat small, no?"

Nodding, Isa turned back to him. "They are, but they work. I may not be able to fly as long distance as you since mine require breaks every once in awhile." She flexed her wings with a slight smile on her face. "So is it yes to being away from your home or being lost?" She inquired.

Nosy, nosy, so nosy. Seemed like the both of them would be having a constant question and answer conversation here, which he did not really mind. "I am believed to be royal blood, but have been told to live out in the open until the time is right for me to enter the kingdom up north." He casted a smile. "As in the Greater Herd and castle." He wasn't sure if that answered her question much, but that was all he was willing to say now.

"I suppose as long as you're happy what does it matter where you are?" Isabelle, in particular, loved to travel, loved it so much in fact that she found it difficult to stay in one place for too long. She looked peacefully towards the river. "Sometimes I like to just fly over the rivers and see where they take me..." She said randomly, a slight smile on her face and a glint in her eyes.

Inside, he felt like she wanted him to do something. Leave the lands that he was so used to travelling through daily to find an adventure perhaps? He shook his head in an odd way. "I... I.. I'm not really happy here." he admitted, taking in the words of others who tried to get him to find a new home somewhere else. Flapping his wings into the air, he looked down to where Isabelle was. "Are you coming or not?"

Isabelle was deep in her thoughts when she felt puffs of air from wings when she heard his voice. Looking up, she smiled as she saw him in the air, "I would love to." Taking a running leap as was usual for her, and rose up into the air to match him. "Have any destination in mind?"

Yes, to where would they even go? Why did he even trust travelling with a stranger that he had just barely met? What happened to his pride? His light eyes flickered with amusement. "Let's follow what you do.." Though he was larger than she was, it looked like they would be able to fly at consistent speeds so that none of them would wear out of energy quicker than the other.
"...and see where the river would take us."

The mare's grin was as big as ever. This stallion seemed like he was used to being on his own, doing his own thing, and he was choosing to fly with her and do something that she normally did. Isa felt a bit of pride and gratitude at that fact. "That sounds good to me Regalia. Should we follow up stream or down?" In her head, she couldn't figure out how close they were to the six's lands so she didn't know if it would be safe to go follow the river down.

North, or south? North would be his definite answer any day! Closer to the herd up north sounded far much better than staying near those mongrelled azrein that dwelled in the south, though there were rich lands if they were to head down..
"We should head up." he replied. "Going down is like going back in time for me." He wondered if his last remark was interpreted the same way as she would, but oh well. All he knew right now was that his feathers felt awfully ready for a long flight.
