Roaming DC on a saturday was the best thing ever, Aggie decided. She'd gone from store to store, browsing lazily and stopping once to grab an ice-cream. So far she hadn't bought anything, but really, that wasn't what shop-browsing was about. It was, she decided, about admiring all the beautiful clothes, making grabby hands at the trinkets and most importantly of all, scoping for potential new friends.

Not that she'd found any, yet anyway. Well... that wasn't entirely true. There had been that one girl in the perfume shop, but, well, that'd crashed and burned. Horribly. Why get so hissy over 'so... you want to smell better?', anyway? Aggie guessed she could sort of see the problem, but really, there'd been no reason to over-react like the girl had. It wasn't like she'd gone up and sniffed her or anything - despite what the other had claimed.

So she'd marked that one down as an acceptable loss and moved on from the shop and down the street, stopping every so often to look at store windows (and check that the crazy chick wasn't following her to throw anything else at her).

Which was how she ended up at Destiny City Antiques and Collectibles. It was the first shop that'd actually looked interesting in a while, so, gathering herself and making sure she had no ice-cream on her fingers (just in case there was any interesting trinkets that needed a closer look), she made her way into the store.
Oooh, it looked even better on the inside! Aggie wasn't an antiques girl, but even she could appreciate the beautiful items in the shop. And the jewelry! She made a beeline to ogle at the jewelry section, already imagining how the classy pieces would look on her. Not that she could afford any of them, but a girl could dream, right?

It had been a rather uneventful day at the shop-- for which Hypatia was eternally grateful. She had barely slept since her first incident of powering up, and she could only thank her lucky stars (or moon, such as it was) that it wasn't school time. The bags under her eyes and the simply pony tail that her long chestnut curls had been bound into spoke to how tired she truly was. When the little bell above the door chimed signaling a customer, howerver, Hypatia was all business, her black kitten heels making a soft clicking noise on the floor as she came from behind her desk where she had been working on next week's schedule.

"Hello!" she called out cheerfully, hands folded neatly in front of her, her attire a simple black pencil skirt and frilly white blouse, accented with a lovely black-and-white fairy brooch that she felt was rather appropriate for her to wear. "Welcome to Destiny City Antiques and Collectibles. I'm Hypatia, and I'd love to help you find what you're looking for. Or, if you're just browsing, I'm available to answer any questions you might have."

Hypatia smiled as brightly as she could muster, because this was a new customer, and the shop could always do with new blood. Antiques weren't the largest of markets, and part of the reason someone so young as Hypatia herself had been hired at the shop, aside from her knowledge and love of old junk. She was sure that she'd never seen this girl around here before, and was already going through her catalog of hair pieces, because she had lovely hair and Hypatia wanted to decorate it, stat.

The red-head stopped and blinked for a few seconds, not at all prepared for the brunette or the speech. But it didn't take long for her to regain her bearing and throw a bright smile at Hypatia. Wow, that was some awesome service!

"Hi! Um, I'm Aggie," she gave a little wave, "a-and I'm kinda just, uh, browsing?" She blushed lightly - she'd always felt kinda bad when she was just looking around and an employee of the store actually came to talk to her. Like she'd disappointed them by not immediately wanting to buy something.

But that was silly. Aggie straightened her back and soldiered on: "Y-you have some lovely jewelry!" At least from what she'd seen from the window. "I'd really like to look at that. But you wouldn't, um, happen to have any hair pieces, would you?" Because if there was anywhere that'd have lovely hair pieces, she figured it'd be a classy place like this. "B-because I really like hair pieces." That last bit might've been a bit unneccesary; after all, it was pretty obvious with a fancy hairstyle like Aggie's that she cared about her hair. Enough to spend an inordinate amount of time on it every morning, at least.
