Sahar felt lucky. Today wasn't too hot out, she liked that. Due to her black fur's consistant habit of absorbing the sun; Sahar often felt like she was melting. But not today. Indeed, today was perfect weather for someone like her. Perfect to do... Well just about anything. All the things she never would even consider doing in the normal scorching heat. Like running for example. Oh how she loved to run. She could never run without becoming exausted fast. The heat always stopped her from showing off her true speed.
Since today was nice. Since today might be the only day she could run and run; the little jackal left her burrow and started dashing from one tree to another. Then she'd turn around and dash back. How odd it must have looked. Seeing her run with all her might across the plains. But how fun it was. For she rarely had any fun.
