What a beautiful day!
There wasn't much that could hold this mare down and the weather here defiantly helped keep spirits up. The sun was high in the sky and Sandy could only spot cloud off in the distance, and even those where fluffy and white seemingly with no malicious intent for her mood.
From the position of said sun she had to guess at it being just before lunch, still plenty of day to amuse herself. As of yet she had no issue at finding things to do, and today she had a specific goal in mind, she wanted to really test out her wings here. Where she was from she had to hide.. hide her "gift" and hide her wings. They where abnormal, they made her a freak but here everyone she met complimented her, told her that they where indeed different from what they had seen but they where big, beautiful and it made her feel warm and fuzzy inside.
The view from the cliff top was stunning, the clusters of tree's scattered here and there and the way the sun caught beds of water. Now she was going to fly, not a little flutter here and there but a full on flight.... or at least she hoped so!
Taking in a deep breath Sandy spread her wings and backed up a little way. How hard could this be? Worse comes to worse she'd get up and try again so she started to charge and off to cliff top she flew.....(1-2 Fail she spasses out and falls 3-4 Wing glides her a little way then falls early 5-7 She flies a little way gets tired and lands after a little while 8-10 Stays in the sky as long as she likes, enjoying the view.)

She flew!
The wind rushed about her, it bolstered her wings and gave her the added umph to fully take to the air. Her blond hair floated all over the place and her hooves hung uselessly but she was flying, high above anything!
Adrenaline pumped through her veins and urged her to carry on, she worked to move her wings correctly to keep her steady, luckily being this high allowed her some space to adjust and take her time. This body was different from what she remembered which made things a little awkward but nether the less she pushed on and soon found herself at a pleasant glide.
After about 10 minutes a stinging pain hit bang on in her wing and in a flash everything went Topsy turvy. Suddenly she was falling, everything was spinning and the pain was engulfing what seemed like her entire being. In a rushing breath she shook herself free and ignoring the pain beat her wings hard and long. It was enough to right her, the pain began to lessen to an ache but she could recognize that more where starting throughout both wings, it was time to land. Starting her descent she gazed out and spotted a nice clearing with a body of water close by, now she thought about it she was quite thirsty...
So with a slight adjustment and breathing through the aches and pain she headed down a little quicker and landed hooves first very ungracefully but without damaging herself further. Once down she mapped out where the water was and headed that way.
(1-4 it steadily has gotten darker 5-6 suddenly gotten darker and starts to spit 7-10 skies open and it starts to pour.)

Letting forth a yawn the mare blinked her eyes sleepily, rearranging her hooves she peered up. For some reason she felt as though there was nothing to fear... that she was comfortably at the top of the food chain... yet she was a horse? She knew she wasn't a horse before, the two of them had figured they where lions before which explained why there wasn't a need to be cautious. Here however she often forgot and let her instincts take over... which was dangerous neither of them knew exactly what else was here.
Liqui did still enjoy naps, she had a feeling that was nothing new... when she had fallen asleep there was another warm body snuggled up with her. Xnah must of gone to check something out... scout the perimeter or something along those lines that her mate always seemed to be doing but Liqui had very little understanding of. Yet here she was now on her own, looking at the lake and feeling a shudder travel the length of her body... wasn't it light when she had dozed off?

Having seen the lake from in the air it didn't take the mare long to find her way, the cramp had started to ease. She was thinking over reasons it had happened but was mostly still buzzing from the experience of being in the air and not being afraid! There was never the worry of falling, though logically there should of been, for her it was about not being caught, singled out and well....
There was a rustling and she froze. Liqui was still dazed from waking up and lying on the grass below her, neither put her good to defend herself. In a rush she tried to get up but forgot she had hooves, slipped and landed with a small thud. Good thing she hadn't gotten far else that could of hurt.
Hearing the thud Sandy quickened her pace over to what she could see as another horse, she still wasn't used to that. She was a horse, and so was this other and though in her mind she still thought animal slowly she was training herself to think other being like herself. "Are you ok? I heard the thud and I came straight over!"
Curling away from the voice the browny orange mare was panicking, her heart was racing yet she couldn't think of what to do! Xnah would know... she always did, on her own Liqui felt useless, had it always been this way she caught herself thinking in the midst of despair.
"It's ok, really I'm Sandy I just thought I heard a thud and thought you might be hurt, please don't be scared! I used to be the one who was scared all the time..." She just wanted to help, had she caused the other to be so scared? "Really... I'm sorry if I scared you I only came for a drink" Sighing she moved and leaned her head over to grab a drink... poor other horse, she thought.
BANG. The sky lit up.
Both Sandy and Liqui found themselfs jumping and looking at one another.

Just as quickly as the sky illuminated Sandy's wings went out and up, trying to cover as much of herself as possible... at least her cloths they would be a bugger to get dry. As she was already moving towards the other mare "C'mon you saw that too right, the sky is about to open up, we've got to find somewhere dry!" As soon as she got close enough she asses the small amount of cover the other already had and adjusted one wing off herself and over the over.
With a raving heart Liqui's mind was going a mile a second the flash had made things worse but at least it snapped her out of full panic enough to see the other had no yet attacked and seemed to even be covering her from rain she hadn't even realised had begun... and at the cost of her own protection. If she moved would Xnah find her? Yes... of course she would, she always did their bond was too strong to separate them for too long. It was now that she heard the others words as the flooded her mind, she was sorry, and showing genuine concern and Liqui was being scared and rude! With a slow nod she shifted her weight and slowly got into a standing position, making sure to stay under the others wing selfishly.

Moving together Sandy made sure to stay level with the other mare, protecting her from the rain as best as possible as she headed them in the direction she'd seen a mountain or something. From the air she could just remember seeing grey and not giving it much thought with the beautiful other scenery to view. It took them a hurried few minutes but they got there and waiting for the other to enter she then shook her head, trying to dry her hair at least a little before entering the dry alcove.
The entire time Liqui had felt she was doing something silly, but what else was there to do? She worried about Xnah more than anything, had she found shelter? Had she just abandoned her mate leaving her in this down pour to find her? The mare was working herself in a quick depression, yet her mind refused to think positively and when they finally came onto the alcove she threw herself in with panted breath.
As soon as she entered the alcove it didn't take Sandy long to regain her usual demure, a smile returning to her mouth as she watched the other. "Phew! I hope you didn't get to wet, that sure came about sudden, strange place this world is!"
