Has anyone else wanted to kill an actor or actress and even imagined how to dig a hole in the dirt under the trapdoor and bury them there? Or am I the only insane one among you?
Come on, there have to be actors you've worked with who you've hated. Or seen on stage that you've hated.

yes, I have wanted to kill several actors and other mambers of theatre.
There's this one chick whos been in almost every show I've ever had anything to do with, and I just want to hurt her. She's not even very good, but she still gets really big parts. It just pisses me off.

Kill the actors?! Actors aren't animals! They're human beings!
You ever eat with one?
Sorry. Couldn't help myself. ^_^

When I was in a children's production of "The Wizard of Oz," the little eight-year-old who played Dorothy was SUCH a diva! She was always yelling at the other kids and she insisted that her costume never be touched by anyone but her. Good thing I didn't kill her though. On opening night, she forgot her microphone was still on and the entire audience heard her yelling at Toto
And that's what we'd like to call Karma kick-back xd

Let's talk about a girl who thinks she's getting into Juiliard when I'm better than her and I would be lucky to get into Otterbein's theatre department. The director doesn't even think she's very good. She works hard and that's the reason she gets all the good parts. Which just happen to be the parts I always audition for.
It doesn't help that I get confused for her a lot. Nevermind I'm 3 inches taller(and I don't try to hide my shortness with rediculous shoes), have normal-sized boobs as opposed to toddlers hanging around my neck and a less-than-manic personality.
Wow. Ummm, end of bitchfest. I'm glad I got that out of my system.

You know you wanna kill an actor when you start having like these "Phantom" moments where you just see them being crushed by a chandileire...and your theater doesnt even have one.

The Phantom item 666 You know you wanna kill an actor when you start having like these "Phantom" moments where you just see them being crushed by a chandileire...and your theater doesnt even have one. I know that feeling. I've had it many a time. Definately with this guy who always gets the lead rolls just because he's the favorite. AHH!

There was a kid in our school's musical last fall - the only reason he was there was he wanted to hang out with his sister (who was the assistant director) and we were in desperate need for boys. He spent the entire time talking back to the entire management, especially the director, learned his lines the night before the performance, and didn't give a s**t about the show. This particularly pissed me off because I had auditioned for the show and didn't get in (it was a dance-centered show. 'Nuff said), and he was *asked* to be in it and was far from grateful.

Bad actress...don't see WHY she was chosen for a role. I've imagined where I'd bury her, how I'd kill and bury her, how I'd take her to the burial site, and how I'll get away with it. You are not insane.

It is very angering when an actor gets upset with a techie. We are only doing our jobs, please don't bite our heads off. Also, I may be working tech, but that sure as hell doesn't make me your slave.
I hate it when actors get a big heads and think they are above the tech workers.
But on the lighter side, I love the actors who appericate us techies and realize that we do put a lot of work into the show. biggrin

Camile, the most horrid person I have ever met. We just added a winter Shakespeare and she got cast as a minor role, got mad at me because I had the role she wanted, and dropped the show after a big fit. Next Musical, she did the same exact thing. Now we are doing another musical and she got cast and I didnt. I wonder whats gonna happen? I must admit, she is a better singer then I am but she is one of the worst dancers/ actors I have ever met. I think the worst was when she ripped her costume in half because it looked too much like another girls.

I had another moment today. One of the girls in the show we're doing can't help but turn her @$$ to the audience every time she's onstage. She's been in several shows, I've reminded her a few times, AND they've been rehearsing this show for about a semester and a half.
I'm a tech, I shouldn't be telling actors what to do unless it's "Get out of the way, scene change" or "Don't miss your cue" but no, I get to give acting lessons to people who should know better.
That's my rant for the day. See you all later!

Once during practice for a student-run production at my school, they had a techie stand in for one of the actors. He made up his own blocking and stuff. I wanted to hurt him by the end.
