Ok, as some of you might know, I have been trying to decide on different builds to play because I'm new to The Elder Scrolls. I found this build online http://theskyrimblog.ning.com/group/character-building/forum/topics/character-build-the-sorcerer and I wanted your opinions and if there was anything you think should be changed. Also, should I go with Altmer or Breton?
I haven't looked at the Smithing skill tree in a while but you could add it as a minor skill for this build for the arcane smith perk to be able to upgrade enchanted Armour, and then whatever heavy armor you choose. Also, you may want to keep most of your status points in Magika and then place points into either health or stamina according to your play style or try and address any problems that come up as you play. That way you can cast the more powerful spells without being squish in a can.
In terms of race, many of the mages you encounter in the game seem to use frost magic, which may make Bretons a better choice for their higher magika and fewer weaknesses. Nords may also be good to for their frost resistance and battle-cry power.
Also, while not an essential quest in this build, feel free to go and complete Boethia's proving should you reach Level 30 as the daedric artefact known as the ebon mail would be particularly powerful with this build.
