Anyone do any origami? I mostly make paper cranes, and these cute little boxes from cards given to me. 3nodding

I do origami quite often, I'm planning on trying to make 100 cranes for my wedding in May. I also just taught one of my fiancee's sisters how to make a paper balloon.

I can make origami boxes, but I can't seem to make them out of anything but a square piece of paper. I've tried but I can't seem to be able to make anything other than those boxes and kanzashi. Origami purists would say kanashi isn't origami, since you need more than one piece of paper (or fabric, in most cases) and you have to connect them by sewing or glueing.

I do occasionally, but I'm not very skilled at the moment. There is a dragon that I really want to try, but the instructions call for a non-traditional shape to start with (rectangle instead of square).
I've made cranes, foxes, birds, snakes, boats, and boxes. There are some nice patterns on the internet if you know where to look (Google is your friend)

I make origami turtles and water bombs. I keep meaning to try different ones but I always seem to end up making these two. If I get bored and have paper the area around me usually gets covered in turtles.

It takes a little finessing the first couple times but then you can crank 'em out like crazy, I promise. I started when I was in like the 4th grade (like, 13 years ago) 'cause I saw all the Asians doing it and I was like I WANNA DO THAT. So they taught me and I've been doing it ever since. xD

Well, I have trouble focusing on just about anything actually. xD

Haha, you sound like me! I love that saying "I've abandoned more crafts then you've even started". rofl
